New Kmart Clearance Price Drops (YMMV)

I just got back from my first trip to Kmart since the incredibly terrible "10-50% off clearance games" ad from 2 weeks ago, and this time there were quite a few unannounced drops. What I saw was:

:ps3:
Bioshock GH $6.99 (previously $9.99)
Front Mission Evolved $9.99 (previously $19.99)
Rock Band Country Pack 2 $4.99 (previously ?)
Dragon Age II $17.99 (previously $19.99)
There were 3-4 other rock band track packs for $4.99 also (previously ?)

:360:
Bayonetta $9.99 (previously $19.99)

:ds:
Glory of Heracles $9.99 (previously $14.99)

If I go again in the next few days, I'll let everyone else know what else went down. Best of luck to everyone finding some other deals!

I'm guessing this is a bundle with the first Infamous and not infamous 2?
I picked up a broken ps3 and fixed it but I don't have a controller and one of these would definitely be the way to go. :)

Yeah, it has the GH packaging of the first Infamous.
 
I've been in Kmart maybe 3 times since Josh was done and the deals dried up. And none of those trips involved me buying games.
But the possibility of $6 games means I will stop in tonight I guess. I saw someone mention Castlevania OoE and I know they had that last time I was there.

I didn't hear about thar bundle until I joined these forums, lol. Anytime you can get a nice discount on a DS3, buy it. Lol

Well, honestly... when they did all the gaming coupons and whatnot, I don't really think they wanted you buying games. They wanted you in the store and cheap games with coupons were a good way of getting you there. They hoped you'd pick up some household things, batteries, kitchen items, sodas, etc., while shopping for your games. Then they let you have the coupon so you'd come back again, IF you were a member of whatever their shopping rewards was called. If you weren't, they'd sign you up... ensuring you'd be back again and again.

By NOT buying the games, it's arguable that you're playing right into their hands. Buy their games. Make them suffer.
 
My local Kmart is the poorest kept store I've ever been in. There's shirts thrown in every aisle, kitty litter in the electronics section, and every shelf is sticky with spilled soda that never gets cleaned.

The few times I did go when Josh was still here was a nightmare. He tried his best to get me the things I wanted from the store, but it was a lost cause. The fact that he took matters into his own hands was admirable, but he was fighting a losing battle.

Sonic Unleashed - $6
Quantum Theory - $4

After checking reviews on Quantum Theory, it sounds like it's not even worth $4.

The store I was at had a ton of games on clearance ranging from $9.99 to 19.99.
The scanners were not working (surprise) so I couldn't check how much the $12.99 or $19.99 games were ringing up as. There was too many and they were behind glass and I didn't have enough time to have the slow employee scan them all manually.

The store also had 2 God of War Dualshock bundles...that I did have the employee scane....but they rang up $48.

Also saw Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (PS3) for $1.99

Wanted Sonic Genesis collection on PS3 but it was came out as $19.99 when I checked out. I left it behind.

Oh, I would buy other stuff there. Mainly clearanced stuff though. But I would buy myself some men's shirts or clothes for my daughter. Kid's clothes is the only reason I go there still, because if my two-year-old has been invited to a birthday party for someone from my wife's church, I can get a couple shirts or dresses for a toddler for like $10 as a gift. One time I hit the jackpot and found the Sweet and Hot Jack Links Jerky had been clearances down to $2 a bag.

But when the game deals dried up and my SYWR card had a zero balance, I just couldn't bring myself to go anymore. I used to lie to my supervisor and tell him I had a medical appointment or predeployment briefing to go to in the mornings do I could be at the Kmart when they opened to get certain games. Now? I don't even look in Kmart's direction when I am driving past it.
 
Does any know if the Wii Goldeneye bundle is clearanced? I see several in the glass case for 49.99, but I was unable to get an employee in electronics, so I left in fustration.

Ha, I took a look at that bundle a couple of weeks ago. Got an employee to check it, and it rang up at $49.99, sadly.
 
If you guys are interested in that Goldeneye Bundle, you can get brand new copies of it on eBay for about $25. Gamestop also had it marked down to $39.99. I know TRU cleared their stock of them for $10 each, but most people couldn't get in on that... either their TRU had already cleared their stock or it got hit by hoarders/resellers.

I got mine on eBay for $24 back at Xmas... Yes, most people are asking more than $25 for their copies. You have to either set a search alert for it or check back often. Look for auctions starting at 99 cents or auctions that offer free shipping with a slightly higher start price. This method is very effective for certain titles... I got the Epic Mickey CE for $15 brand new using this method. I also saw a brand new copy of Vanquish go for $12, but I didn't nab it.

Yeah, I know this thread is for K-Mart... but just speaking about Goldeneye specifically.

Sorry to be a bother but I noticed you keep saying DS3, what does that stand for?
 
Just left my store and they didn't have much of anything. The only thing I saw worth grabbing that I got was an EA Sports Active 2 or whatever it is called for 360, with the monitor, bands, and game.
 
Got the ps3 Karaoke Revolution bundle for $6 today. They also had the Singstar mic bundle for $6 as well as the Singstar 1 and 2 standalone games for $6 each.

I would have picked one up, except for PS3, if I hadn't already bought 2 back when my walmart clearanced them to $10 6 months ago. I spent quite a bit of time actually doing the workouts when I first got it. I got way more into it than I ever did with Wii Fit, despite it being less "fun". They just do a better job of rewarding your accomplishments in a way that keeps you hooked with EA Sports Active 2.

I fuckin' hate these new clearance drops. They're so random and some halfway decent stuff(PS3 remote) is already out of the system. Not to mention I've seen stuff priced at 2-3 different prices at 2-3 different stores. First store I hit today had the PS3 remotes, but out of system and marked $15. According to the guy in electronics $24.99 was the price showing for it on their RMU, stickered price was as low as he'd go on one for me.:roll:

Second store I hit had some PSPGo cases, hard cases were $4, soft cases were $10. I passed on those.

Third store I hit had a few things, but I'll wait another month or so and go back there to see if they drop cheaper. But I DID pick up a :ps3:Tony Hawk Ride bundle....for $6. I figure if I can't sell it on Amazon or something I can always give it to my buddies' nieces when they come in for the summer.;)

Last store(my other local one) that I hit had the PSP hard cases at $1.99, but I think they came up as out of the system there so the girl had to manually enter the price from the sticker. They also had a few of the PS3 remotes, which were AGAIN out of the system. I also picked up a 2gb M2 memory card for the PSPGo for $8. I may end up returning it before the return period lapses though, since I don't see myself ever really filling the Go to capacity.
 
Hey dude, I saw the 2gb m2 memory cards for the psp go at sears for 1.97 each.. so $8 is not a good deal, plus if you want you can get a 8gb m2 memory card for like $8 on eBay, just thought I'd help out :)

Funny thing is that its shelf tag marked for $2.99, but rings up at $2 even :)

Thanks. I figured I have 90 days or so to return it. So if they go down in price at the store I grabbed this one at, then I'll just do a return/rebuy.;)

Unfortunately neither of my local Sears stores had the 2gb ones for $2 cuz I checked.:cry:

Hmm... I may have to check my Sears sometime, but I doubt I'll have any luck at that price. Plus, I hate that store.

I saw the 2 gbs as well, but passed as I figured the price wasn't that great. Plus, I got a 1gb clearanced to like $6 or $7 two or three years ago at Target as I needed one for my free club.bing Sony cam.
 
My Kmart had a bunch of stuff on clearance, but didn't have the time to sift through the garbage pile they dump stuff in. Had a bunch of games mentioned here, but couldn't find an employee ANYWHERE to help me with pricing inquiries.

The only thing I wanted to find was a PS2, but didn't see one anywhere. Really want one of those for these prices.

Nine times out of ten the prices would be the same as reported here if you took them up to the front registers.
The only thing I wanted to find was a PS2, but didn't see one anywhere. Really want one of those for these prices.

Good luck finding a PS2 for $10. A couple of the stores by me had 2-3 of them sitting in the cases for a long time, but they were all gone when I checked yesterday.:cry:
 
Some games have dropped from when the thread started!

Came back from 2 Kmarts close to my home; got the games at the first one I went since the second one has the old games behind the newer games on the glass box on the bottom shelf & it would have taken hours for someone to come and open it of me to just look through:

Yeah. Moosic had a few remotes, but they were outta the system already.:roll: Otherwise that's where I picked up the 2gb memory card for the PSPGo and the $1.99 PSPGo case. But there wasn't really anything else worth it there besides the typical GH games.

I ended up picking up a Tony Hawk Ride bundle for PS3 at the Pittston one for $6.
 
Stuff I got today at West Seneca KMart that never has good clearance stuff:

UFC Undisputed 2010 for $6, the big box version with a t-shirt inside. Had to get one.
Top Spin 3 $4. Not a great price, but a game I kinda wanted.

And they had a bunch of the Rock Band $4/Singstar $6 games.

No PS2s, which I had to check for. Man, $10 for one would be awesome, even if I just used it as a streaming device or something.

I picked up a few games from WB and Pittston, nothing on my high want list though, just filler.

The flooded store in Edwardsville actually used to have as many games as Moosic at one point, which was nice since you could always find a decent selection there. When Pittston had their cases(the Playstation, Nintendo, etc branded ones) at the other end of electronics a few years ago it was nice, since they too had tons of stuff.

Now it seems like aside from the WB store all of the local Kmarts are slim pickings.

Judging by the results on Amazon for that TH bundle, it's safe to say that that's going back within the 90 days.

Anything good at the WB store or is it just shit? Tempted to take a trip down there tomorrow, but only if there is promise of something decent in the under $10 range. Mainly looking for the $6 prototype.

No copies of Prototype in the WB store. The only thing they had(keyword: HAD) were empty spots on the shelf for the PS EYE for the PS3 at $16.
 
Before I forget, I saw that :wii:Sin & Punishment game marked with a $9.99 sticker at one of the Kmart stores I hit yesterday.

Don't know if that's considered a good deal or not.

Also, the :wii:Epic Mickey Paintbrush nunchucks were down to $12 each.
 
I stopped by the store in Beaverton, OR. There wasn't much except some Guitar Hero, Band Hero, and Rock Band games. I saw 3D Dot Game Heroes, but it had it's own barcode sticked on it. I'm assuming that's so they can skirt around the clearance price and put their own price on it? Kinda shitty if that's the case.
