Target coupon- 5 dollars off 25 dollar purchase

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items, or raincheck "scams." Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Some info from BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include city, state, store, game, system and price. For example:
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs
Super Soup Soufflé, Xbox 360, $4.98

Special thanks to Mephitical for this great tool for locating clearance titles which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Here is a fairly easy way to check if your local Target has the games on clearance-- often games will not be tagged correctly. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Remember, the lowest known price will be posted since the listed item could be higher or lower at your store. Here are the current deals:

Just a heads up. If people are wanting Okami, TRU currently has it on clearance for $19.98. You get an additional 20% off of that. I ended up returning my Target Okamis and bought from TRU instead.

It is done by regular staff during the day at their convenience/manager's request, which tends to be noon-afternoon. Your best time to visit is late afternoon or evening or even the morning following the day you believe clearance prices will be adjusted.

Wait, so even if the price is a go-ahead for dropping...it won't ring up at the new price until an employee manually enters the new price for it, per that store? Fudge! All those times I went to Target first thing on Monday mornings....

Depends on the store when it comes to markdowns. Targets sometimes do a 5AM - 1 PM shift for trucks/stocking/markdowns. However once you notice the patten for the store it usually continues. I normally check after lunch, but I have seen a store or 2 not get to markdowns until monday nights on a regular basis.

Keep in mind the people who found the stack on games recently either found a big YMMV clearance or its a low volume store. Which means high volume stores will just start clearancing the items now.

Depending on the staff in Electronics, you can generally find someone to ask point blank when they price their clearance items. It's a valid question and most employees will just tell you when their store usually reprices.

I checked my Target today- there was not one single console game on clearance. There was that 360 arcade stick and a few wireless PS2 controllers, but that's it. No sign of any of the clearance games, and it didn't look like a hoardder was there.

Just checked two in my area - one older store that tends to clearance a lot and a newer one that almost never does. Nothing at all at the newer store, and piles of the already-mentioned accessories at the older one. No games yet at either store.

31 and National Road Target in Indianapolis is at it again... what's left on their clearance rack is at 75% off. Things I saw this morning include:

PSP Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror - $4.98 (one copy, GH edition)
PSP Lemmings - $7.48 (lots of copies)
PSP Ape Escape Academy - $7.48 (lots of copies)
PSP Kingdom of Paradise - $9.98 (~5 copies)
PS2 Harvest Moon: Wonderful Life Special Edition - $7.48

The rest was various PS2 and X360 copies of Madden / NCAA / etc. '06, I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to those.

Well, when something goes on clearance it's typcally on clearance until it's gone.

However many of those posts were very YMMV as nationwide clearance deals at Target seem to be a thing of the past. Unless you happen to live in the OPs town, your chance of finding the item is minimal.

I went to ~5 Targets this weekend looking for the clearance. The only one that had any games on clearance was the Beaver Valley (Center Township). I was there Monday last week but didn't buy anything because there was nothing I really wanted. During the week I figured what the hell but it was cleaned out when I went back yesterday.

The Robinson Township (North Fayette) store had a ton of games, most of the ones that are on clearance at some stores, hanging on hooks on an endcap in one corner of the electronics dept, but with no price tags. I grabed a handfull and went to a price scanner but they were all out of order. So I picked a few games and had the cashier scan them. No dice. $39.99 for Dynasty Warriors 5 and $29.99 for Quake IV.

To help out all my fellow CAGs these are the stores I went to.
Wheeling, WV (by Cabellas off RT 70)
Washington, PA (by the dean Washington Mall off RT 70)
Pittsburgh, PA (North Fayette/Robinson Township)
Monaca, PA (Center Township/Beaver Valley Mall) - Only one that had a clearance end cap. Mostly cleared out though.

Went to the Target off of Choteau Trfy in Kansas City. The electronics clearance endcap was overflowing.... WITH CRAP! Most of it was those iPod covers and cases. Oh and Kenny Loggins CD's WOOOHOOO!!!!!

When you say it was cleared out, was it empty or was just the good stuff gone? I left a good 100+ games there when I was done picking up stuff.

At least the stuff I went back to get that is, I'm sure someone might like some of the games that were left.
Also when I was there Monday there were two endcaps full of games. Yesterday there was only one.

Ain't that the truth. I've been eyeballing the Madcatz 360 Arcade joysticks for two weeks or more but they are still at $33.98 at the 5 or so Targets I've been to up through yesterday.

As soon as they are $19.97 I'm gonna bite.

It's hardly worth 20$, it's a piece of shit, the three games are great (well froggers ok), and it trades for 10$ at GS, so maybe when it hits 75% off it's worth getting.

Agreed, I have it and it's a POS. Only buy this if you want the 3 XBLA games, the joysticks a waste of time.

define cheap. The target across the street from me had them for ~$13 last week. I remember seeing 3 of them. They might be gone now, but if there are more I'll grab one.
