Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Did you scan NHL 2K8? I got a copy of it from the Liberty SuperTarget. It was marked $28.xx but it scanned $14.xx.

I sold one on Amazon last week and got $75 after Amazon took out all of their fees. That would pay for them if you found them all at clearance, right? Each one is $14.98 if you found it at that price, which would be 44.94 plus tax. A little more on top for shipping and you're still coming out with a good chunk of money.

Now the lowest price on new Tetris @amazon.com is $50. Ok, you can say:'wait untill that $50 is sold. " There is still something uncertain about what you can get from the new Tetris. Why not just sell all three target games on amazon.com. I think he can easily get about $90 from them(after all cost and fees), almost make twice as much as what you said.

My point is: It is really hard to get all three games @$14.98 from target. Most PPLs have to drive around a couple target stores to get maybe 1 or 2 out of the three. You have to consider the effort people spent on finding the games. It is not, just like $44.98 plus tax & shipping, that simple, is it?

There was a reason why I put the game out there as an option, as well as money. I understand this situation and that is why I mentioned money. It was just an idea and I wasn't mentioning it as the only means. I know all about the hassles as well in trying to find them (since I've driven over 100 miles easily to try and pick them up from multiple ones in my area). The same thing goes for the recent drops at CC (which have been a failure as well).

It's not like the trade would be bad though involving a new Tetris DS if the hassle of finding those games was minimal. If you sold those games on Amazon you'd have to drive and mail them, buy seperate mailers, etc. and they're not gonna sell all at once so it's gonna take multiple trips (money being put to gas as well). The price for Tetris DS has been hanging around 89 for a good amount of time, and a sealed copy isn't gonna go down in price in time. I already have a trade maybe setup as well for one of them for cash or trade.

Just because it's selling for one thing in one place doesn't mean it isn't selling for something else somewhere else. Sure we know it's not, but some people are willing to pay that price. I sold it for that ($86) on the 8th of this month.

Yeah I was gonna inquire also.
I thought I missed something and this game went rare, but I do believe this will be one of those games that as long as they are making DS's, then they should be making Tetris DS's. its just classic. So I can't see it ever being too rare....right?

I really don't think it should be priced so high, but it is. I found one for my use for $30 new at Kmart, but it was the last one. I have yet to see a copy anywhere else though.

If you just print the label at home, pay for postage via PP, your postal carrier will pick it up and save you a bunch of time and gas oh and you will save on DC charges!!
Check the Other Deals forum and find the HOT First Class shipping thread....one of my favorite deals found on CAG!

That's weird because I bought my DS about half a year ago, which is when I bought Tetris DS. That game was at many places (BB, CC, Sears, etc.) I went to. I would say probably around January or so, I started seeing people here say it's rare and started noticing them disappearing from stores.

Just head back to electronics, be honest with a staff member there and see if they will retrieve it for you to buy.

What worked for me was this:

Returned the game at customer service (made no mention that it was cheaper in the electronics section).

Then went back to electronics (in my case I actually was just going to buy a cheaper one in the back) but they were all gone.

Went back to customer service and told them that the game I had just returned was now marked down even more and that I'd like to pick it up and keep it afterall. After a few seconds of blank staring they re-rang the game and confirmed the price was indeed lower and I bought it and left.

Not sure if that would work every time or at every Target. Sometimes, okay many times it depends on who's behind the counter even though that shouldn't even factor in as we all know.
