Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Yeah it was a GH copy. I may try to do a return/rebuy over the weekend if my one friend comes up and I head down their way, where I PC'd a copy of SOTC last week and it was coming up $9.98.

Don't get me wrong.....I WANT the game, but $6.01 off retail(before tax) isn't a 'cheapass deal' to me.

Saw a couple 3rd party PS2 and XBox marked $21.xx (lol) didn't bother to scan, sure they were less...

OMG REALLY!? I've been looking for some cheap gamecube controllers for a while. When I called them though, they said they didn't have any GC controllers period. Maybe they were wrong...

Recently, when I asked a guy to double-check a price of Avatar in the case, he mentioned that things don't normally go below 50%..... anybody else out there have Target locations that never go down to 75% off?

EDIT: Scratch the $10 price at the second Target near me, since I checked earlier today and it was a NO GO.

But, for $14, I still got a copy of SOTC, so I'm happy.

It's possible that you could get it for lower than that, if they don't get rid of it after it leaves the system. If you happen to be buying other items on clearance and a game rings up OOS, they'll often just price it according to what else you've bought and sometimes let you name your own price. This is obviously YMMV, but in my experience one of those scenarios has occurred more often than not.

Cupertino Target has several copies of Shadow of the Colossus for 13.xx (Don't know if it dropped in price since I checked last week). They are black labels with the greatest hit sticker on the shrinkwrap. Just letting those who want it know. Cheers ^__^

These prices are almost always YMMV, BUT... they are more likely to occur than not. If the price isn't what you expected, you'll have to try another nearby Target because they may have the lower price.
