Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

I tried it at Signal Hill (by Long Beach, CA) and was charged $59.99 for it, so I'd have to say a NO-GO, or someone got really lucky. Heavenly Sword has been a titled I've been eyeing for a long time. Needless to say, I was disappointed. So if you do see it, please pass the word!

Greenville, SC Target - They've had Folklore here for $29.98 forever. Went by yesterday and it finally dropped to $14.98 so I snagged a copy. They had only 1 left. There were a few other games on clearance but nothing interesting. No NG Sigma or Blue Dragons anywhere to be found.

Taylors, SC Target - They had no Folklore's, NG Sigma, or BD. But they did have Lego SW II for 9.98, as well as a plethora of other games on clearance, including Simpsons 360 for $24.98

I found the Logitech Media Board Pro (Bluetooth) for the PS3 for %30 off ($55) at the Target in Redmond WA. This is the keyboard of choice for those with a Mac Mini HTPC. I had to get one at that price since I knew they'd probably be gone by the end of the week.

I also got a yellow (Madcatz?) 8 MB memory card for the PS2 for $10.

Picked up Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 for PS3 for $9.99 about a half hour ago at Target in Southfield, MI.
It was the only PS3 game in the clearance section.

They did seem to have a bunch of 360 games with the red tag....but I was in a rush and didn't catch the names. Sorry.

The lower priced/clearance section was quite large but was not well stocked. Looks like it'd been combed over good.

You mean the Nyko branded ones? They have a little rubber thumb grip on them, right? They come in white and light blue combined, yellow and black varieties typically.

Electronic markdowns are every Monday. They are usually in increments of 25%, 50% and then 75%. However, I have seen them do different ways though.

A Target by me has had a game marked 25% off and then the next week they took 50% off of the 25% off price.

Example original price of 59.99-15.00(25%)=44.99-22.50 (50%)= 22.49 - 11.25 = $11.24.

It really just depends how they do it. Other times you will get 50% off until it is down to 14.98 (MSRP 59.99 game) or 12.48 (MSRP 49.99 game).

The Strongsville Target actually now has a clearance section. I spotted about 5 copies of Crackdown for $29.98, 2 Folklores for $14.98, and a whole lotta miscellaneous "meh" stuff like Avatar and Golden Compass for the Wii. I did see The Simpsons Game and Naruto: Rise of a Ninja in the 360 case with clearance stickers on them for $34.98 and $41.98, respectively. They were rotting right next to the copies of Meet the Robinsons which are still listed for $59.99 but are long gone from the Target DPCI inventory.

You don't need to have an employee check the price for you. Just jot down the DPCI that's listed on the marker for the item and you should be able to punch the number into a price scanner kiosk spread throughout the store. It should work. I do that all the time.

Some targets do not have the price scanner with the numbers on the side.

I was able to snag a Folklore And Ninja Gaiden at a local Target (finally dropped to $14). Really strange.. I guess they never put Folklore out on the shelf, because it magically appeared on Monday at the clearance endcap. Found a Halo 3 action clicks controller, and it scanned as deleted. Had an employee scan it with the hand scanner, and it came up at $41. Now I could have sworn that it was much cheaper in a previous clearance thread.. anyone remember what price it should be?
