Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Picked up a DS Lite Headset for 3.74 yesterday, a Psyclone 360 VGA cable for $5, and a PSP hard case for $5.

For the PSP Phat, they had about 3 of the kits for $10 that include a USB data/charging cable, case, screen protectors, slide in charging station, grip with an extended life battery built in, among other things. Was marked down from $40.

Clearance is done at the store level, so prices vary. I always scan pretty much anything that looks old (any x-box or GC game or old PS2 games). I scanned Oblivion PS3 yesterday and it is still 29.99 at my store.

oh i know that but what i'm saying is i assume most people just see that games aren't stickered as clearance or are stickered old clearance prices and people assume that's the price... at most targets i visit games aren't marked correctly but ring up the lowest price here but soon as they are stickered correct they are GONE within the first day or two which gives me the impression people don't bother to check prices

that's a GREAT idea... how do u do that? there's one target with the older scanners that don't have the keypad to enter dcpi's so i would love to do this to save time as the people in electronics are so freakin' lazy

Eminemobied, go to the first page of this thread and look at the first post. Sonic has put a really helpful guide on there if you are trying to print of the UPC's. Takes some effort, but well worth it if your target is like mine and keeps almost everything behind the case.

I would also like to know what the next round of games is going to be. I missed out on Simpsons and Blue Dragon (Got BD from Amazon), but I'm hoping it'll be a good clearance like this last. Maybe Turok, due to its lackluster sales and stale inventory? That'd be a good one.

cool i haven't even looked at the front page in ages...

turok is a good guess btw, simpsons sold really well i read and it was about 6 months before it got to it's lowest point of 12.48 at most targets so in august or so maybe turok goes down to 14.98? same goes for pgr4 it's been about 6 months since release... what else do they have at target that's been out only a few months?

Yes - Got it at Target in Colorado Springs. Ive seen them around at other local Targets in short supply. My guess is that they won't be restocked after this clearance if your Target carries them at all.

And they weren't in a clearance section as they are locked by a security tag but check your ipod/headphone aisle.

Turok... not worth $14.98, IMHO. I got it for that when it was new at a closing Hollywood Video. Totally boring single-player, lame online. In fact, it's the only 360 game I ever bought and didn't bother to finish.

Simpsons at 12.48 is a good deal, though, a lot of fun despite some glitchy cameras.

for anyone thats interested...lego star wars II trades in at GS for $7..and if you trade it towards GTA or mario kart you get another 20% plus the Edge 10%...so after all that you are getting like $9.45 trade in credit for a $5 game...

i went back to my target today and picked up 3 more copies ( i had already bought 1 for myself), and traded them into my GS for GTA. The clerk was like,"you're trading in unopened games? three of the same game...how did you manage to get three of the same game?"

My store had 3 of these sitting at $60 on a security hook in the computer section and all of a sudden they all vanished yesterday. Thing is, I've only ever seen them in one other store. The 160 GB version (same brand and model) is still regular price. Hopefully that will go on clearance soon.
