Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

That's correct for stuff bought already on clearance. If you buy something regular price and it goes on clearance, they'll adjust it once.

I saw not much at my Target. They had some 360 VGA cables for $5. Some Wii component cables for $5 and the HDMI for 360 for $10. All the PS3 games that were any good were still $42. Oh well....Medal of Honor AB was on clearance for the PS3 also.

Nonsense, I just did that yesterday. To be fair the game in question was purchased at one Target and returned (with reciept) to another Target.
Target's policy only has restriction on seasonal/holiday clearance merchandise, and specifically mentions full price paid returned in credit with a gift reciept. If they give you issue returning unopened clearance merchandise for the paid value and you have a reciept, ask for a manager.

Heh, I bought one of these today too. My Target had two copies: one in a box, with a highly suspicious looking crushed top that appeared to have been taped shut; the other in a nice, easy-to-see-through-and-see-that-everything's-there plastic shell. Guess which one I bought

And to not completely ignore your question, I'd guess your only option would be to try and return it. Explain what happened, see if they have another copy that you can exchange it for, and hope for the best.

That's pretty much how mine was, it was crushed on the bottom though and taped. Only one they had. I figured that they would have checked the contents before they taped it if it just came open.. Or I thought maybe it was returned and opened to verify contents and then taped.

I don't even have a DS, I was just going to try and find some hacked drivers to use it as a cheap usb wireless adapter.. so much for that idea.

I called the 800 number and got a ref number so that I can speak to a supervisor tomorrow during business hours to try and resolve it. Figured that would be my best bet before heading back to the store.

When I got home from work and excitedly opened it up I found an empty case. I guess someone had done the slice the plastic trick and slipped out the disc. They were REALLY skeptical and repeatedly insisted that I could only exchange it for the same game which was my declared intention when I explained the situation. It was a pain, but not too bad. I've returned toys in the past that were missing pieces without a problem which may be a little more relevant because it's not software. On the other hand they get goofy when it's anything electronics.

When mine had around 12 of them last week for $30 on Monday none of them made it to Tuesday morning. I think Target bankrupted a handful of local students that way, since they massively marked down around 12 PS3 games, 9 360 games, and a handful of others. Good lord, what a massacre.

Party Animals almost assuredly will not go lower. Most likely the same with PGR4, although I am not as familiar with that.

Target doesn't reduce the price until you buy it. They reduce it to a point (usually 75%, such as the case with Party Animals) and if there are still some left over after X weeks, they donate them to the good will or ship them back somewhere.

Look at the Regular sticker clerance price tag! If they game MSRP $59.99 and it drop down $15, MSRP $49.99 and drop down $13, MSRP $39.99 and it drop down $10, MSRP $29.99 and it drop down $8, MSRP $19.99 and it drop down $5 . It'll not be drop again unless they take it off the floor or go to the GOOD Will.
