Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

i got two halo 3 controllers for 14.98 a piece. boo yah! used the 5 dollar coupon for a total of about $26. both are different art too. there is also a lair there safely hidden in the case marked $60, but a dpci check had it at $30. here's hoping for another drop!

On the Halo 3 controllers was there an As Is sticker on it? Or are these controllers a national drop?

I live in Palm Beach County and I never have any luck. I'm positive that at my two nearest Targets there is at least one employee in the electronics department that hoards the games. Either that or they give them to Goodwill really quick. Sometimes games with low Blockbuster trade-ins have copies left though. When I got PGR4 for $15 it was a victory for me because I always go Monday mornings to check on my way to class and find nothing cheap. If they aren't marked down in the morning, I check back on my way home in the afternoon. You can get stuff for 50% off if you go Monday but it won't be there later to go down to 75%. It's a shame because I'm a loyal Target Customer and a CAG.

Just make sure there's a game you really want before you risk the gas money. I'm willing to drive to whichever boardering county you live if you know where I can get The Simpson's Game or F.E.A.R. clearanced (both 360).

I get 35 miles to the gallon

Last night, I was at the Target in Plantation, right behind Broward Mall. There were at least 5 Simpsons games behind the glass. I got my copy there about 3 weeks ago, so I was very surprised to see them still in stock.

Oh I know, oddly enough they had copies with the sticker, threw them in the clearance pile, but never bothered stickering the remaining 8 copies in the case.

Not sure if its been posted yet but if you use the coupon on a clearance item. Say 2 $14.98 games and you end up returning one of them. The coupon does not get taken away they just give you $14.98 plus tax back for the return. Thus the game you kept was only $9.98.

Yes'r. I have returned a few things back to target after the coupon was used and they gave me a full refund of the ticketed price of the game (i.e. what I paid for it) plus tax back.

I have seen them in two places. 1 was with all the other PS3/PS2 Accessories. I found the one on clearance that I got in the isle behind the game section. Depending on how your Target is setup usually the PS3 section faces the camera. The next isle has Xbox 360, PSP, Nintendo Wii and DS stuff. The following isle is usually the one with all the overflow stuff and really marked down stuff. Try looking for it there.

I don't have a photo but I did find one, which unfortunately was still marked $50. Its a relatively small black box if that helps at all. The one I found was also EIDE, which for $25 I'd consider but for $50 I want a SATA drive.

Hiding a game to purchase at a lower price admittedly hurts other customers and the store's profit margin. But it's not in the same league as stealing -- I wouldn't be surprised if Target employees routinely stash the best clearance games until they drop 75%

I've seen it happen. If they see you with the camera's, they tell the security to tell you to leave. I don't think it's a law, but people are assholes :/

It would be a permanent ban from that store. How "permanent" it is depends on how well run the loss prevention department is. Many of them will keep a log of people they have banned and have pictures on file. Someone who was just stashing stuff away, they probably won't be kept in mind for long, but you would most certainly get noticed if you tried to come back a week later or something.

Well, seeing as stores are private property, they can deny you service for whatever reason they want, sort of blatantly discriminating against you because of race, religion, or gender. So, though it's not a "law," the store can simply tell you that they don't want you to come back. If you go in, they will ask you to leave. If you don't, then it becomes trespassing.

A couple of months ago I found one of the original DS Fats with the Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo. It was still $130. I couldn't believe it.
