Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Unless target gets more from the Manufacturer by saying it was "damaged". Same way that most companies dont bother with "open box" items they just DEVO them out and get a credit.

Anyway back to topic, picked up Genji ps3 today for 7.48, NHL 2k8 (360) 14.98 which I may return after seeing some mediocre reviews, and Plastation Eye for ps3 19.98. Pretty good stuff Simpsons ps3 still scanning @24.98 so I passed hopefully drops monday.

Can't wait for Lair and The Eye to come down in price by me. There's 1 Lair that's been sitting there; I hope it does just like Ninja Gaiden did and sit at $41.98, and I'll be the first to know when it's $14.98... here's hoping

Is the Playstation Eye worth it. What games are out for it that are worth while (dont say the card game either). I have seen it at a couple Targets (all at $27.xx) but dont know if its worth it to pick up if it drops lower.

^^As far as I know, the Eye of Judgement is the only retail game that uses the Eye. The rest are downable games so that may or may not be a breaking point for you.

Right now select Targets. Most are still at $29.98 (or in some cases $41.98) but the price drop has just started to $14.98. As of yesterday the one by me was still at $29.98. I am going tomorrow to see if they still have them. They had 2.

Go ahead and open Orange Box. Just buy OB when it drops and return 2nd copy with 1st receipt. If the Targets in your area have a limited supply of OB then it would be best to keep it sealed.

I have passed on alot of copies of Viva PinataA ($7.48). Now, that I actually want a couple of copies, I can't find them. Also, passed on Nascar 08 360($12.48) and I regret that, too.

Just print out the UPC (check OP on how to do this). Don't rely on the stickered price. Sometimes you will be pleasantly surprised. I have the UPC for several games printed out. That is how I confirmed that OB and Lair had dropped to $14.98 at a Local Target, eventhough, they had none in stock.

Really hoping to get Lair and OB for $14.98 each. I want to use the $5 off coupon for even more savings.

I checked mine and it was still $29.98. Only four Xbox 360 games at my store for $14.99 - NBA Street (bought that), PG4 (also bought that), NHL2K8 and NCAA2K8.

PS3 - Mainly sports games and Orange box

PS2 - A lot of Boogie woogies or whatever it's called. Actually this game is taking over the shelves at our store.

WII - Arctic whatever, Bee Movie and Golden Compass

PC - Neverwinter Nights II Expansion ($9.99), a lot of Age of Empire expansions for cheap and Rainbow Six Vegas. We had a lot of others like Timeshift, Supreme Commander, Agatha Christie, etc. but all sold out.

Target does not price match on clearance items, although of course you might get a CSR who's willing to do it, but its their policy that you have to return it, and they must return it to the floor... you can't just walk in and get a price adjustment.

At the ghetto Target near me they stick all the clearance games and other expensive electronics clearance in a tiny case on an endcap. Everything is stacked up and disorganized and it's hard to see whats in there let alone prices. I make it a point to avoid that store.

My store did the opposite, they put all the games out and people move/hide them and now I can't find anything. I did see one copy of Tony Hawk's Proving Ground in the movie section though. And they somehow got rid of the 300 copies of Crackdown they had.

If this is the Target on Bellflower Bl (the one with the picture on Kotaku), I think they salvaged all the Crackdowns. Last week, they still had about 5 copies behind the glass but they rang up OOS. Luckily, they were tagged at $14.98 and cashier gave me it to me for that price. Also, bought 2 copies of Viva Pinata: PA today.

Orange Box and Lair are still at $29.98 at the Targets in my area(those that have them in stock). Simpsons PS3 is at $24.98.
