Thanks to Skube and Oxidative for this coupon. Important things to note-- this will make games ten dollars or under free, but it's advised to buy another item, such as a pack of gum.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Buy a clearanced game for full price online and return/rebuy it at Target...

What you do is go into target and go to one of their registry/online kiosks. You log in with your target.com or amazon.com account, whichever was used to make the purchase, and go to Return an Item. Follow the instructions for your order and print out one return page for each item. Go to the Customer Service desk and tell them your favorite Price Matching story (Item went on sale in store, I meant to use a different credit card, etc.) and they should be able to re-ring the purchase because apparently their archaic systems have no way to register an exchange.

Wasted a trip to Target in Mt Juliet, TN. No 360 games on sale at all. Nothing. Wasn't even worth using the $10 off + $5 off/$25 coupon since I can get a better deal at K-Mart with their current coupon + free $10 GC scheme. I'll just go there and get whatever $59.99 game they have for $45 or less. Hate that I wasted my time and gas on Traget. They usually have a lot of stuff red tagged. Maybe I was too late in the week.

Can you say Fraud. It is one thing when ppl commit fraud against an establisment such as Walmart, Target, Frys electronics, but it is another thing when they act like there is nothing wrong with it. call a square a square and a circle a circle. i have been guilty of the walmart buy and return scam, but that is exactly what it is a scam, you are not being clever, you are being a clever criminal. Get over yourself man, what are you a priest, a pig, a lawyer? I'm not sure how this constitutes Fraud. He's buying from Target.com and returning/rebuying from a Target store. Since Target doesn't price match he's just using a loophole to his advantage. Tell me how the hell is he a criminal?

Yeah, I don't buy that fraud angle either. The worst you are doing is transferring stock from a warehouse to the store.

If the CSR doesn't want you to do it, you'll just be returning the game for the price you paid for it and will have wasted time.

They don't PM? I've gotten them to PM before without problems.

Anyway, yeah, all he's doing is a forced price match... not fraud. He may not be honest with his story but it isn't illegal. Only difference is that the store doesn't have the item in stock. If it did then his process would be no different. I would do the same thing. I'd say that they have it for cheaper and do a return... just like I've done before.

Exactly, and since this is a cheapass gamer forum (not a morals forum) and we are all cheap asses :lol:, he's just trying to pass-on a method to get a Target clearance deal if you can't find the item in stock.

What he was talking about doesn't HAVE to be fraud. Buying from Target online, and doing a return/rebuy is acceptable, as long as you tell them the truth (being "this store had it on clearance, and I wanted it at the clearance price"). They shouldn't have a problem honoring that; just be sure they have it at a clearance price in their system before doing so, otherwise you'll just rebuy it for MSRP.

Again, if you just tell them the truth (that you ordered it online and want it at the clearance price their store has it for), it's not fraud. If you do anything other than that, then it's fraud.

Checked today and the only thing added for 360 was Harry Potter...(and PGR4, NBA Street, NCAA2K8 and NHL2K8). Used the $10 off coupon off 360 games and got NHL2K8 for $4.98.

No PC games added. But they just filled the whole section up with XBOX Halo games (the first game)...a lot of them for $9.99 and Lara Croft Tomb Raider for the Wii for $19.99 and High School Musical. Boogie's for PS2 still a lot of them but no price drop...still at $14.99 here. Oh, and I finally saw Bleach for Wii going on clearance. Want that one badly but it only dropped to $39.99...still too much for me.

I picked up this at my local Target tonight for $32.48, b/c I'm a sucker for perirpherals. I have a screen for my PStwo, multiple screens for my PSones, a screen for my PS2 (that I don't even have attached). I rarely use them though, but when I can get them for cheap, I don't mind. $32.48 wasn't too bad, seeing as how I paid $39.99 for the PStwo screen, also 7". I've tried out this Intec screen, was kinda weary b/c I have an Intec 5" screen for the PSone that had a dead pixel, but haven't had any problems with this one. There is a casing that houses the Wii, with a switch that's supposed to lock it in place. The screen can fold down, turn 180 degrees. It also comes with a headrest harness. If you put it in the harness, the discs come out of the left and the plug will come out of the bottom. I don't know how the sensor bar plugs in, b/c the Wii has 3 things to plug in, the a/v cable, a/c plug, and sensor bar. This unit doesn't have a plug for the sensor bar, but somehow the one that is built in still works. If you're looking to hook anything else up to it, don't pick this up. Although the amazon description states "A/V, S & COMPONENT INPUTS, INCLUDES S-VIDEO, COMPONENT VIDEO, RCA A/V INPUT & OUTPUT JACKS" there are none on this unit. You can't even connect your Wii to your tv if it's in the unit, b/c there's no pass-thru. The speakers and the screen are nice, although I'm usually not too critical. I played Big Brain, and had no problem reading, although with Medal of Honor Heroes 2, I had to move up close to read the text. I'm pretty sure using the car adapter might eventually screw up the Wii, since there's no brick, but I've got an extended warranty on mine, so if it burns out, new Wii for me.

Target clearance prices are pretty YMMV. I'm in the same situation you are here in the Los Angeles area. I have yet to find anything at the prices listed in the thread. Every single item is about $10 more than the lowest price that has been reported thus far.

Picked up A blue 360 rechargable battery pack ($5.38), 2 Artic Tales Wii ($7.48), FF12: RW DS ($19.98- for a trade), Rebelde: season 3 dvd ($7.48) and 2 SW Galactic Heroes Sets (Mustafar and Speeder Bikes) for $13.98 each. Ended up using the Target coupon 3 times.

Also, found a copy of Sea Monsters Wii ($7.48) but I think I forgot to put it in my shopping cart and when I went back to look for it, it was gone. #-o

Also, found a bunch of Guides including Yoshi's Island ($9.08), Kotor 2 ($10.xx), SW Battlefont 1&2, Halo 2, Godfather, NFS: Underground? and others. I guess they found them in the back and put them out on clearance. I don't think they are worth picking up at 30% or 50% off but when they get to 75% off, I will bite if they are still available.
