This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction."

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Went to quite a few Targets (3 to be exact). Absolutely nothing on clearence. All I saw was some old strategy guides. Doom 3 is all that I can remember (told you it was old).

I did see Heavenly Sword go for 42$ though.

For the 360 I got The Simpsons Game, Monster Madness, and Dead or Alive 4 for 14 dollars. This is with 2 10 dollar off coupons, was thinking of getting Viva Pinata, but I will pick that up later for about 3 dollars this weekend unless I get Rainbow 6 Las Vegas 2 when its cheap.

Unless its on clearance, its likely to be 29.99, and with coupon, well you can do the math. I stopped at the Target on the west bank of New Orleans today on my way home from work, hoping to land a few cheap games on clearance. I had a list of the games printed out as well as the $10 off coupon, and let me just say that if you live in New Orleans.. you're pretty much shit out of luck when it comes to hitting a sale before all the cheap games sell out.

So as I suspected, all of the clearance 360 titles were gone. They had a few of the PSP and PS2 titles, but there were absolutely ZERO next(now) gen games on clearance.

This shit is ridiculous.. there's a Target on the east bank (in metairie) but that one is famous for empty shelves in the gaming section, so I avoid it completely. Gaming is apparently uber popular around New Orleans. god damn.

Clearance sections can be anywhere from my experience but more often than not I've seen it in a corner of the electronics section. Usually on a small rack that no one would find unless they stumbled across it. It's not like there are signs or anything to let you know it's there.

I went back to the Gibsonia (Pittsburgh) target after work and they had more American Idol 360 for $24. They also brought out a huge cart of stuff from the back room that had just been marked down. They had some Tony Hawk (360) for $7, Picross for 9.xx, Timeshift for $19.xx, some Heavenly sword appeared for $41.

Yeah, like someone else said, it varies widely. I have several Targets right near me, and even the same store might put it's clearance games in different areas at different times of the year. I've seen them:
--mixed in with the regular games
--endcap in electronics (near the other games)
--endcap in electronics (in a far corner, near the radios)
--endcap in automotive
--endcap in books (very common)
--endcap in grocery/pharmacy

The endcaps are always the ones facing the outer wall (so not on the main aisle).

I'm also seeing a couple of copies of Jeanne d'Arc for PSP around here, but only a couple. There used to be lots of them. They were still $20.98 here.
