This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

ok so I don't really know if this has been answered yet... and I don't feel like reading all the spam again... so...

typically everything in Target runs on the price drop cycles... whether or not they survive long enough is another question tho...

personally I think I'm gonna hold out for 49 on the 1TB and hope they make it... unfortunately yesterday I was out of town and dropped by a couple of targets I passed One had quite a few of the 1TB and they were on first price drop and they weren't in the clearance section... so I bet they make it to 49 but I prolly won't be back then.

The 1TB drives are only 15% off or something like that so they have plenty of room to drop further. Bad thing is most of the stores I've seen have only 1 or 2 anyway.

Thanks again for the DPCI I was able to snag a 500gb drive for $45 w/ my discount. Absolutely perfect timing since my gf's dad needed one this week.

I beleive I saw some Wii ones on clearance here in GA, but I think it's kinda a ripoff that they charge you for "wireless" guitars when you have to put Wiimotes in them,so I passed...

I got 50 cent a few weeks ago for 14.98 I think it was. I personally thought the game was alright. I wasn't mad to pay what I did, 24.98 might be a little steep. Not so much so that you'd be mad though. (I'm talking in terms of game quality to price).

OK, here is where I would normally come in as a mod and tell everyone to stay on topic and stick to posting Target finds... But I don't think that will make any difference to our friend there. For those who don't follow the BBV thread he pretty much did the same thing there - except his focus there was how he could get all the latest and greatest PS3 games for free by checking them out from his local library - and why are the rest of us idiots buying used games from Blockbuster of all places (which, by the way, is having another B1G1 sale and I picked up a near mint Wii Pikmin for $7.50 as a result).

Given that he can get whatever he wants from his library, I'm not even sure why he would bother paying $20 for games .

In any case, this is a little warning Casteor - take a step back, read the threads, absorb the knowledge and culture of this site and then come back again when you feel ready. Hell, I've been here a long time and have WAY more posts than I should - but for the first SIX MONTHS I was on CAG I barely posted at all. I think they were only $24.99 for the 360 ones. Some people got lucky and were able to get it for that price for the ps3 one.

i believe it was because everyone is scared that they wont find it when it does drop. there are two @ my local target, i picked up one just in case. checking to see if the other targets has it for $14.xx so i can return and repurchase.

Oh, thanks for the reminder -- I was going to check whether those are a model that will play PAL discs, and whether they can be hacked to be region-free, and totally forgot. Have to stop by at lunch time and get the model number.

Bay Shore, NY store had GH:WT 2 guitar bundle for $22.xx. I picked one up. There were ~5 left by the tvs that were mislabeled at the $4x.xx clearance price. Sweet.

Hadn't seen it in the last few pages or so, but today I noticed Target has gotten a new SKU of Peggle: Dual Shot. The UPC appears to be the same as the one that was previously on clearance (that I bought), but there is now a slipcover over the shrinkwrapped game. Scanned @ $19.99.

So I just got back from Target and picked up the 500gb external for $49.xx. Wasn't surprised that it was still there since it wasn't marked or in the clearance section. Lets just hope that mines doesn't give out as quickly as some of them do. Other than that, also picked up a Titanium Series Thrust for $5.24 (YMMV).

But here is what I saw:
2x X-Blades: $29.98
2x Ghost Recon 2: $20.98
Few Monsters Versus Aliens (didn't price check it but label said $34.xx or something)
High School Musical 3 (Wii): $20.xx (I think)
And a few other crappy DS/Wii games.

The clearance section was pretty much decimated. Here's to hoping for more games to get marked down! :]

picked up the 1TB WD external in SoCal. I went to some stores to pick up some stuff along the way to work and almost every store had at least 2 so far. Lucky for me I had a 320GB that I could return that I bought two months ago .

GH WT is still 62.XX out here though and the Socom bundles are either all gone or someone hide them since a couple of stores say they have at least 2 left

The slipcover UPC and the non-slipcover UPC both scanned out at $19.99.

This version is the same version I received from Amazon when I ordered it as the DOTD item a couple weeks ago.

Grabbed the last GH:WT bundle (360 - 1 guitar) from the Homewood, IL store for $22.48. They still had one PS3 version (double-guitar) for the same price as well as a few PS2 versions.
