This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

I checked two Targets yesterday for KH: Rechain of Memories. Both of them had copies for $30, but the Target that I go to all the time used to have it behind the glass case. Now, they're out with the other clearance games. I think it's only a matter of time before it goes down. Hopefully soon because I've been WAITING for it to go down.

Earlier in the week, Jacksonville Southside Target, picked up Sonic Unleased for 360 @ $12.98.

Went to St. Augustine Target this morning, nothing too interesting to me personally. Saw Syphon Filter for $7.98 (psp), GH: Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters for $9.98 (psp), and that Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter 2 and Splinter Cell: Essentials two pack for $20 (psp).

My target is clearancing alot of the PC games (Guild wars, 007 Quantum, Prison Tycoon,ect). Saw Warhammer 40K Soulstorm (PC) for 50% off 30$ last week and its still the same. Waiting for it to drop to 75%!

Picked up Home Sweet Home (PC) for my wife, she was eyeing it the other week. It was 4.99 originally 20$.

Saw X-Blades today for $14.98. Between the awful reviews and the huge backlog I've got, I couldn't bring myself to do it.

Though possibly worth noting for anyone who does go for it and doesn't mind cutting up their game box, it looks like South Peak is doing a $5 mail-in rebate on it:

I've also found myself in this position. What I usually do is buy the game and if I change my mind/find it cheaper elsewhere, I'll return it. I rather do that than find myself wanting to play the game and not be able to find it again. It's win/win for me. I guess the only loser is Target (if the game is out of their system).

Targets of Houston, TX just suck for clearance pricing .. went to 3 Targets on the East side of town (Baybrook, Pasadena, and Blackhawk) only found one copy of Mirror's Edge for 24.99 at the Baybrook area .. passed

didnt see this listed, but at a target I usually don't go to in South Austin,TX had Prince Of Persia 360 and Afro Samurai 360 for 41.98. Saw it on Saturday, might check monday or tuesday to see if it goes to 50% off but will probably miss it. Only about 3 Afro Samurais and 5 Persias in the case.

Yeah. A couple of weeks back, the only copy of X-Blades that I found was still at $41.98 but when I checked this week, for some reason, some of the Targets in my area had several copies at $14.98.

I thought about picking up a few to flip to BBV but I just can't seem to get myself to flip to BBV anymore. I still have a rule of getting a 2x return on cash flips ingrained into my brain. So spending $16.xx to get $26 just doesn't compute. I guess i'm just spoiled and bitter. :lol:

You should still check them out once a week. You might be surprised at them popping up out of nowhere. I've had a couple of clearance games do that at the Target I visit regularly.

Yeah I do check my local one every Monday anyway, and that's still saying limited availability so we'll see if anything happens. Its frustrating because the stock checker was 100% accurate about the games that nobody actually wants like X-Blades and MLB manager, but Mirror's edge is batting 0 for 3!

Most likely it's either hidden somewhere in the store or in the back stock. Either way, it'll show up randomly rather than any set day. My Target didn't have X-Blades in forever and suddenly it showed up on Thursday this week. I'll keep an eye out for you though.

Whoa I hadn't thought about checking Target every week, but doesn't that rape your wallet haha if you see other stuff you normally wouldn't think of getting? I was kind of let down by both of the stock checkers when I looked, but it does make sense that the games could be stashed somewhere. At one of the Targets here, there was Mirror's Edge for the PS3 and it said available online.

I went there and checked at the price scanner and it said available in the back, but the guy couldn't find them so I gave up. Also, it was still $29. I did notice though that one of the stores that said out of stock, managed to have one pop out of nowhere. Maybe a return?

Banjo isn't much of a deal at that price since it was going on Amazon for less a couple months ago. But I will say that I have been having a lot of fun with it -- it had a pretty bad demo that turned me away from it until Wombat trumpeted it.

I'll be sure to check back on Mon. And 2:1 is definately what I'd want, but I'll take a +$10 flip, when it's not too far off from 2x. My BBV has had a lot of decent used games lately that I've had my eye on and I don't like having $0 in credit now, lol.

I do too, but I only want to pay about $10 for it, since I heard it got horrible reviews.

Mind you, I've bought games that got horrible reviews and most people hated before and some of those were some of the ones I played the hell out of and couldn't put down.

I'm headed up to NY state on Tuesday, so if I don't find a copy of the games I want around by me, hopefully I can snag one or more of them up there come Tuesday.

Holy crap...there isn't a game on this list that I don't want, well maybe Smackdown but I bet I'd pick it up if/when I saw it for $15. I thought after Mirror's edge I'd be done with Target clearance for a while, guess not.

I've only seen one or two of those Lips bundles at any one store at a time...probably going to have to bite early on that one.

Madden 08 psp for 2.2x

they had a lone copy of condemned 2 for 5.0x but all I had was my girlfriends check card so she would not been happy to see me buying another game no matter what the price especially on her card.

Went back to get it an hour later and it was already gone.

My Target had three random copies of Jericho show up. I scanned it but it says not in the system. I didn't think the game was worth it to try to follow up on it and get a price on it or anything.

I visited Target store after a church service to look for PS3 $10 Bioshock.
I couldn't find it, but I picked up "Bully" and "Kingdom Hearts II" for each $4.98.

I'm going to guess the bundle. I believe the bundle was $40 and the game by itself was $30. $27.98 would be 30% off of $40.

Argh, the Pasadena Target, just off Lake, was so thoroughly picked through that they had condensed all the Clearance endcaps in the back of the store from three to one. What remained was some DS, PS2, and PC stuff.

Who says 2 normal people just didnt pick it up? Lots of traffic this time of the year for people ya know, not just horders.

Pueblo colorado still has mirrors edge for 20. They take forever to get it down.
