This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

No new games on clearance, not much left I want anyways, however I will mention that the Axe packs with 300 MS points dropped AGAIN, down to $2.50. I bought about 2400 points worth for $20, not a bad deal!

Now the problem is how to handle the wife when all these chicks follow me home from the Axe scent...maybe she can throw an apron on them and put them to work. ;)
 
Bedford, OH has 5 copies of Guitar Hero World Tour (PS3) at $22.48 each. The box didn't look very thick, so I would assume it's a single guitar version.

My understanding is that you need to SMS these codes in the package to get real MS point codes, correct? Has anyone figured another way to do it, as AT&T charges for each SMS sent or received if you do not have a text message plan.

I stopped by 3 different Targets up in the Green Bay/Appleton Wisconsin area looking for the $14.98 Rock Band 2s..... all had the game in stock, but all were selling it for $49.99 still :cry:

Willoughby, OH had no Guitar Hero. The only game which caught my eye was the Wrestlemania game for the 360 for $14.98. I had it in my hands but put it back. 2 copies are there. Other than that, the selection was very thin compared to Bedford.

If you're talking about the PS3 version, I mentioned that there were 5 copies of it at the Bedford store for $22 and change as of about 3:30 this afternoon. Bedford's not that far of a drive from the Streetsboro/Stow area. Have you tried the Bainbridge Target?

you can almost dodge all targets in LA/OC/SD since there are rarely ever clearances since they clear inventory easily due to the dense population

last thing i've got was ratchet tod and gt5p on their global clearance from target
 
I stopped by a target on my way home from work that usually doesn't have much. Looked through the usual clearance spots and didn't see anything good, then checked the glass case and they had a single copy of madworld left for $3.74. Not sure why it was locked up, only reason I could come up with was because it was rated M (even got IDed for it).
 
so i see the fallout add ons behind the glass case in my local target, since i see lots of stores have them on clearance..is it likely to actually be on clearance?

In my experience with Target, it's unlikely to be on clearance if it doesn't have a red tag. They're usually on top of what stuff is being marked down. Sometimes you'll find clearance stuff with incorrect price, though. Either way, it doesn't hurt to check.

I've only seen the Pitt/Anchorage Fallout add-ons clearanced. The Broken Steel/Point Lookout expansion is still $20, as far as I know.

I have to agree. It's very rare to find any good deals on So Cal (Downtown LA). I've been lucky a few times, but that's what I was trying and looking desperately. Now, I try to cut back and just go once a week to see what's there.

I rarely see $7.48, but for the lousy games. SOCOM at $29.98 was as good it it got, and I bought it. I've played the waiting game, and I always lose out in the end. I'd rather get it clearance for between $20-$30 then to not have it at all.

meant the 360 version. not really from around here, I go to kent, I'm actually from the west side, lorain county. So what targets are close enough for me to check and are there any that we know for sure have them? I was in gates mills the other day and checked that one but no dice, thanks for the tips though.

Yeah not that I've found. It runs about 40 cents if you don't have a plan for each point code when your done, which if you do the math makes it less than $4 tacked on...still hella cheap!
 
I'm in the Orange County/Riverside County areas and have to say that sometimes I'll bite at 50% off because if it's just one left, that one will be good as gone either before or right on the next drop and I mean within minutes. This place is densely populated so I'll have to really want something at that price point. I have gotten lucky with 75% off but that's been either a one off and I was near a Target that I normally don't shop at and just happened to stop by. I saw a lot of stuff gone this week compared to last week so I wasn't very hopeful. I've got a Chronicles of Riddick that I bought for some reason and am probably going to return it soon and maybe someone will get lucky and snag that up right away. I still haven't decided but at 19.98, I'm on the fence.
 
where did all the wheelmans go at the jersey targets? i actually went to a target today with pretty much no 360 games on clearance

In addition to the samsung blu-ray players and HD's, I also saw 512MB flash drives for $3.97, and several ipod/zune cases for various prices, some digital LCD photo frame things, and 5 pack Memorex CD-R's for $1.38.

Sorry, but I disagree. You have to figure out which are the better stores for clearance and get there no later than Monday afternoon. I regularly get all the clearance games I am looking for at 75% off at several stores on Los Angeles.

Couldn't find any good games, but I did manage to find all the separates for a three-piece suit on clearance for a total of $22 and change. What an amazing deal! The tailoring could cost more than that!

I say you're wrong about SOCOM, which was what geo was making his point about. He's right about socom not dropping below 50%. I checked over 10 targets in los angeles and none of those dropped socom below 50%.
 
I was hoping the last copy of Patapon 2 would drop to $5. I went in and didn't see it on the clearance shelf. I thought I might go look in the cheapo game aisle and there is was, sitting right out in the open still marked as $10. Scanned it and it was $5.

I'm guessing somebody put it down when they realized it was download only. I think I lucked out.
 
I'm with the people in the past two pages... it's hard being a CAG in SoCal, esp. with Target clearance.

Inland Empire here, and I can never find anything I want.

Guess I'll start checking Orange County ones but it sounds like it won't be much different.

Damn, those are the two that are close to me as well. Someone said before the weekend that Milltown still had a few Guitar Hero World Tour guitar bundles for Xbox...see any? I need to pick up something at Home Depot for work later today and wanted to stop in and grab it.

Online inventory says Limited Availability. Says it's in stock in Princeton, but I've never managed to find any good clearance deals there.
 
Went to the Monclair,CA Target last night and picked up a copy of Sonic The Hedgehog and Tomb Raider: Anniversay both for Xbox 360 and both were $4.98 each.
Spotted Axe products with 300 MS points marked down to $2.48.

:D That's what I did with the game. I found it the other night on clearance at my store for $7.48 (marked $9.98) and was going to get it, seen it was a download and put it back. I will probably get it if it goes lower, but I don't even know what it is and have never bought a download game, so I just decided to leave it :lol:
 
Ugh had a terrible CAG day yesterday. Went back to check a Target that had THREE Rock Band 2's for 360 at $12.XX when they were there Saturday, yesterday all three were gone. At the time I didn't need the game and when I decided to pick it up all three copies were gone. Oh well snooze you loose.
 
Raving Rabbids 1 & RR TV Party went Clearance at my local Target (Commack, NY). $13.98 & 20.98 respectively. Just throwin' that out there.

I picked up Patapon 2 yesterday for $4.98 at my local Target. It is unfortunate that it is a download title, I would have like to have the UMD for this game. But since there never has been, and apparently never will be a UMD for this title, I consoled myself with the $5 price tag and game box.

While I was perusing the clearance rack, I also noticed a Digital Camera accessory kit that I grabbed for $15. It came with a cleaning kit, a memory card wallet, a mini tripod, and a multi-memory card reader. I mainly wanted it for the tripod and the card reader. I had bought a memory card reader a year ago from WalMart, and it sucked something fierce. I tested this new one out last night and it worked great. It is compatible with Memory Sticks and SD cards, so it is perfect for my camera, my PSP, my Wii, and my Cell Phone. (which all use either memory sticks or SD cards) And the tripod is just convenient for keeping my camera stable. It will be especially useful for the video function.

I've been to a bunch of south orange county targets, around Mission Viejo and Aliso Viejo area, but we rarely have any good deals.

I was able to pick up Dead Space for $12 a couple weeks ago, but besides that, there hasn't been anything very good.
 
Stopped at the Target in Milltown, NJ today. Was looking for GH:WT for 360. They were all gone, but they did have some for PS3. Didn't check the price though. Didn't really see much on clearance.
 
Saw Dead space for 14.98 today and just couldn't bring myself to buy it. Still too expensive IMO, at least for me, I'm not a huge shooter fan. How good is this game anyway?
 
I picked up Dead Space last week for 14.98 and I think it was well worth it. I'm not big on resident evil type games but if you give it a chance it's worth the 14.98. Some have found it for 7.48 though - which I think you would be CRAZY to not buy it at. I recommend it even at the $15 level. For reference though I wouldn't pay over $20 for it - but I wouldn't pay over $20 for most games.

I'm so envious of ppl picking up PS3 GHWT with guitar for 22.xx. I'm tempted to pick it up for 44.98. xD

I would say the game is very good, easily worth $30 or so IMO.
 
I'm hoping for dead space for 7.48 soon. Its not that im cheap...I beat it and want it on ps3 to play threw it on ps3. Simple as that.

Did finally get the Guitar Hero world tour 2 guitar bundle fir 22.48 though. woooo!
