This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Saw about 50+ copies of Smackdown for the PSP at $13.98.

Checked those hard drives everybody is talking about and noticed that they are all on the 15% - 30% - 50% clearance schedule. Lost interest in following these since they won't hit 75% off. BUT I did notice while checking these that Target put some Nikon D40 Camera bundles on clearance. $500 down from $600. Seriously thinking about a return/rebuy for one of those.

Also Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor (PC) for $20.**. Waiting for that to drop some more before I jump.

Also, confirmed 1tb WD Essentials hard drive for $99.98.

EDIT: Guild wars is of course the first game only, NOT the trilogy set.

They had the complete band game for $150 or 160, I believe, and the 1x guitar bundle for $44.xx still. I was there tonight and hauled it over to the scanner by electronics and it came up as that, which it was tagged as.

I'd go to Toys r us at Chapel Hill if I were you because they have the complete band game with a free Xplorer guitar for $70. Only ~$30 more before tax, and you get a lot more with it.

I thought I had missed out of WWE: LoW. I wasn't able to get to Target until 11am. I checked the price and it rang up at $14.98. When I checked the endcap for a copy, they were all gone. I went to the next Target and found a lone copy but it was still at $29.98. I decided to try a return/rebuy so I bought it at that price.

Later on, I went to another Target and tried to do a return/rebuy on the spot. The lady seemed confused but in the end she told me that they had to have a copy in-stock for me to get that price. I decided to try the return/rebuy at another Target and when I went to the endcap, all I found was a bunch of GHWT bundles. I decided to check the DVD section and to my surprise I found WWE: LoW in a smaller endcap full of games.

This was also the first time that I have found Patapon 2 at $4.98. All the other Targets still have it at $9.98 or even $13.98.

i used to visit the seattle stores regularly but there is no point anymore. everything reported is like two full drops behind.

a game that is 75% off on the east coast, is just starting it's 25% drops here and rarely ever seems to make it to 75% or even 50%.

I check out lake stevens, lynnwood, and everett.

I noticed Xmen origins (PC) is on clearance now. I sure hope that is a sign that the console versions will be on clearance soon.

Just came back from Target and picked up the last copy of Madworld for $7.48. I went yesterday at 1 PM and they had not changed prices yet, so they either did it later or this morning. I also notice The Conduit is not on the shelf, but it is not on clearance yet.

They also added more computer games to clearance, some on the clearance rack (LoTR Mines of Moria Complete, XMen Wolverine, and a few others), and others (HAWX, FEAR2, Tomb Raider Underworld) were still in the PC game section.

I had mixed results yesterday, picked up Legends of Wrestlemania (360) for $14.98 and Monster Jam Urban Assault (PSP) for $7.48.

Was surprised that Wanted (360) hadn't dropped to $12.48 yet, was still $24, hopefully it'll drop next week.

I just got the last one at my Target for $4.98. I also did a rebuy/return on the last copy of Wrestlemania. Everything else mentioned in this thread is holding steady at 50% for a 3rd straight week.

The thing that sucks is I had to go up to PA to get my Mad World. The 8 or so that were in the Brandywine Target last week were sold out at 4pm yesterday. I was surprised that Wanted hadn't dropped either.

I picked up an odd copy of Rygar: The Battle of Argus for ~$11 today for the Wii.

It was the only copy and had a tag on the back barcode that said Online Item; was $39.99 now $10.00. If anyone wants to buy it for cost + ship I'll sell them it, otherwise it's going back.

They usually occur on Mondays, but it varies from store to store. There have been reports that some update their prices over the weekend or later in the afternoon on Mondays. The best way to find out is to check your local Target and get a feel for when they update their prices.

Just got back from Target and I agree, I think the clearance is starting to slow down. I just found the second end cap at my store two weeks ago, still in the electronics but at the opposite end of the games. They took that away a couple of days ago and put all the games into one. They must have really marked some prices down because both end caps were full and somehow they managed to get them all together. Other than that, my store seems to be very random with prices. I found Monsters Vs. Aliens today for $24.98, hoping it will drop down lower, but I've heard it is a decent game, so I may keep it either way, haven't decided. So this game just dropped from $34.98, so they are behind a few drops on that, but they dropped some of the other games to the same price as other stores and then others they didn't touch and are still 2 drops or so behind. It seems weird because I would assume if they are doing the markdowns, they would do all the games, but it is very random. They also decided not to mark the games today, which is great for me, but also a first for the store, normally everything is marked correctly.

I can never find games below the $7.48 price point and several of these are games that have been there for some time. They have a ton of PS2 games, a few PS3 and PSP, a little more 360 than PS3 and generally quite a few Wii and DS games. I've not seen any new drops for some time. I'm still hoping to find some of the New Play Control Games discounted, Drawn to Life for $10, Ratchet and Clank, etc. but so far they haven't dropped any of those. I think there are 3 left of the Drawn to Life game, 2 and 3 of the New Play Control Games and I can't tell how many they have of Ratchet, so my fingers are crossed I may be able to get a few of those games.

So anyhow, just thought I would share.
