This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

My Target has 3 that have been sitting at $29.98 for a few weeks now.

The price doesn't change until the price change team goes and actually scans it and puts the sticker on it. You may want to ask the price change team to scan one of the copies for you as they may just keep skipping over it.

The only real drop I noticed at my Target was Wheelman for the 360 for $9.xx. I have been waiting for a few weeks for Madworld to drop from $14.xx and Sonic for 360 to drop from $13.xx, but they still have not. They originally both had 4-5 copies and now they are down to 1 each, but I want to try to wait for another drop.

Again, another week with absolutely no drops at all. Over the last 6 months, their drops have been getting progressively slower, and its to the point where I haven't seen anything worthwhile even make it to 75%. Its just been sitting at 50% for up to 6 weeks at a time until it finally sells.

Was at Target today and noticed GH: World Tour for $44.98. Kinda funny considering I've been thinking about getting Rock Band Beatles lately but only wanted to play the guitar and not shell out $100 for one. - so I grabbed the 2x Guitar World Tour bundle. Seemed too good to pass up and I havent played a music game since GH2.

Not sure why it wasn't $22 like some of you got it for but for what I paid it's still a pretty awesome deal. Guessing these types of clearances are store specific.

Uhh yeah, I'm from California, so I don't know what you're talking about. My Target never clearances any household consumer products past 15% (they start at 5% almost all the time). You probably won't see those Axe products hit the 75% mark because most of them will probably be purchased by regular shoppers if they ever even hit the 30 or 50% mark and also, the codes expire at the end of this month. Good luck though.

They're all in the bottom of the PS3 case. There were so many that they had to shove them behind the PS3 boxes on the bottom.

I'm jealous of everybody who's finding Madworld - I don't think I've seen it once in any of the Targets in my neck of the woods, and definitely not on clearance.

Grabbed a PS3 GHWT Guitar bundle for $22.48 (marked at $44 still, thankfully I thought to drag the stupid game halfway across the store to apparently the only working scanner to check). I'm kicking myself for buying game only a few weeks ago for $14.98 (already opened it, too) since my Rock Band guitar decided to kick the bucket this weekend. Figured it was a good price for just a replacement guitar (I hate the RB guitar anyway).

Yesterday I got Tomb Raider - 360 for $4.99. Never cared for this series but for $5 its worth the try. I also saw Sonic (the first one) - 360 for $4.99 but passed due to bad memories from the demo.

This was in Flower Mound, TX. There were like 4 or 5 copies of Tomb Raider left...
