Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Here in Christiansburg, VA (Virginia Tech), I picked up a WD 500 GB HD for $17.xx and a 16 GB Transcend Flash Drive for $16.24. Also picked up a sony 2gb flash drink for $3.xx.

Good stuff!

Sony branded energy drink? Is it tasty? ;)
As for new drops, everyone keep an eye on the Targets that haven't yet switched to the new video game sections. A lot of stores will be remodeling to this setup this month and into next month, and as such, a LOT of electronic items are going clearance, including most of the PS2 games (which I don't believe will be carried anymore.)
This seems to be happening at the Cherry Hill, NJ store:

Transcend 4 GB USB drive: $5.74
PS2 DualShock 2 (silver): $6.24
Tetris Evolution (Xbox 360): $13.98
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (PS2, GH): $14.98
Wii Speak microphone: 50% off ($14.98?)
Guitar Hero Les Paul wireless guitar (PS3): $16.xx
Fender Starcaster acoustic guitar: $36.xx

Also at 75% off: PSP-2000 cases and accessories, Xbox 1/Ps2 component and S-video cables, Sandisk 1 GB memory sticks, and Lexar 4 GB memory sticks.

DCPI numbers:
Transcend 4 GB USB drive: 056 06 0969
PS2 DualShock 2 (silver): 207 00 0206
Don't know if anyone else has seen a copy - or if it has been mentioned - but I found a copy of Bass Pro Shop: The Strike (w/rod controller) [X360] for $20. I've been watching this copy for a while and it was sticking at $40 forever and I figured I might as well check it on the scanner and... Poof! It was actually $20 and I couldn't pass on $20 for some useless game and peripheral.

I assume this is more of an extreme YMMV clearance item as I have never seen this game on clearance at any other Target ever.
I was going back and forth on this - if I found it for $20, would I pick it up? But I read bad reviews of the controller, and honestly I think I'd play it for maybe a few hours then never touch it again. I played a hunting game a few years ago and got bored with it after 45 minutes. Yes, I know this is fishing, but wow, for $20 I can get a cheap fishing pole and go to my subdivision's stocked pond and fish there. Just saying.

I saw it on clearance at several Targets in Northern Virginia, but it was only 30% off. Never saw it at 50% off.

On that note, it really locks like Target is giving up on PS2s. Only one shelf unit had PS2 stuff, and even that was two copies of DJ Hero on clearance and then a bunch of peripherals. The only PS2 games were on the end cap clearance. I don't see them moving the PS3 to 4 slots, and it might just be in preparation for that store's game section remodeling.

Only decent thing at Springfield, MO Target is Fable II PH for $13.98. I'd bite but I've got a
huge backlog and enough RPG's I haven't started (ME 1 & 2, Fallout 3, DA:O).

PS2 and a few PSP games at my Target today, and nothing else. I really wonder who buys all of the current gen games at the first sign of clearance. Games rarely ever make it to 50% off in my area.

I bit. Mine had a 55.xx price tag on it, but scanned at 20. I figure I'll pull it out at some point and play. My real hope is that they have a new game that has some tournaments and I can use the rod then. Dunno. We'll see.
Oh the other day at work, the pallets in the back that are part of the new electronics design said "Video Game Reinvention." These were just fixtures for presentation purposes, but I couldn't help but chuckle inside.
Have your electronics team lead show you the guide for the reinvention. Its more than just some new fixtures. New interactive touch screen displays with video game reviews and related games, new video game demo stations for every system, and yes new fixtures so video game boxes can be viewed without having a team member open up the cases.

Yes, I'll admit Target can get a little cheesy with their new programs and such but the video game reinvention is actually a pretty extensive redesign of electronics.

Speaking of off-topic Easter clearance finds, I picked up several of the Easter Batman Imaginext 3 packs with Batman, Mr. Freeze w/Freeze Chamber, and the Joker w/Jokermobile for $3.75 each. Going to donate some of them to Toys for Tots around Christmas time and keep one for my 4-year-old son.

as long as they keep up the sweet sweet clearance they can make the video game section a vending machine in the parking lot with a picture of Hanson in speedos on it for all I care.
I did get a 3-pack of peeps for a little over 30 cents :D.
I picked up a 12 pack at A&P for $.59. Roasted them over a fire, was absolutely amazing. Sugar on the outside got crispy and the insides got nice and soft.
Western Digital Elements. Theyre in a white box vs the green ones.
More specifically it's a big box, probably 6" tall x 10" wide x 5" deep. The newer model is a small box, about half the size of the big one.

My Target had a couple but they were marked $48.

Got Singstar Queen (PS3 obviously) for $2.54 I believe...need to check my receipt, but I know it was $2 and change

I found a single 360 Memory card at a Target near me but the thing WONT SCAN.

It says 'Item not found'...asked the employee he couldnt figure it out either and said he'd need to call the manager.

I was actually in a hurry yesterday so i figured I'd deal with it later if at all...

What would happen in this instance? The thing has a sticker but its half ripped off. So you cant see the price just the DCP or whatever its called...(both me and the employee typed that number in the scanner/computer...still says 'Item not found')

What would they do in this instance? I'd like to pick it up for about 7.98 but I dont want to go through the hassle for them to tell me 20.98.

1) buy worms for $5 on Amazon
2) buy a 1GB flash drive for $3 anywhere

done!

If that is $17.98 I see, you are one lucky CAG :D Awesome price. Those aren't on clearance yet

Id love to find those at that price.

Ive scouted out a few Targets that still have em at 48 and change and another town's Targets still had em at 69.99.

Preemptive request:

I doubt this will be the case, but on the chance anyone finds Wii Points for $4.98 and would be willing to buy a few to sell the codes at cost on here, please let me know.

Will probably repeat this request tomorrow and Monday.

Thanks!

Western Digital 500gb external HD.

For anyone looking for harddrives and stuff, be sure to look in the actual aisle with computer stuff and not just on the endcaps. The two computer-ish aisles in my local electronics section have a variety of stuff on clearance but not moved out to the endcaps.

It's not a stupid question but this has been discussed in previous threads. It is a WD Elements 500GB External Hard that usually retails for $69.99  This guy found it for under $20. It's a great deal if you can find one
as long as they keep up the sweet sweet clearance they can make the video game section a vending machine in the parking lot with a picture of Hanson in speedos on it for all I care.
This made my Day! :applause:

It'd be ridiculous to be able to get a couple brand new PS2 controllers for ~$7. Hopefully there's still some left when I go next week. Last I checked they were $13.xx

Picked up 2x Tiger woods 2010 for the xbox for $14.98 each. Also 6 bags of M&M peanuts for 72 cents each. Only easter candy left was an assortment of M&M stuff.

No problem :D I love them beats from that site in your sig :D
As usual, my local Target had absolutely nothing for clearance.....no HDD, no games. Guess it'll be a while before I find any deals at this store.
You're not the only one suffering  I've only been lucky once at Target (during Spring Break) and that 1 time has kept me going back to find more.

I don't know if they've been mentioned or not yet, but I saw the following marked clearance last night at a local Target.

:ps2: Sony Dual Shock 2(silver)

Nyko brand Media Hub+....it's this thing: http://www.nyko.com/products/product-detail/?name=Media+Hub%2B

It adds 3 USB ports to your PS3 when you plug it into one. It also has a flash memory card port on it that supposedly works for multiple types of memory cards.

The PS2 controllers were marked $17.98 and the USB hub thing was marked $10.48

As of this week, all of my local Target's have gone the jail-make route. I don't know if I like this because now all the clearance games are there for everyone to see! ;)

All I can say for the Sturgeon Bay Target is a copy of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for $14.xx... Hoping it goes down to 90% (there's a small possibility) and Bayonetta for PS3 for $40.xx... A few nice car stereos (Sony I believe) for like $60, and some electric razors going on clearance, for anybody who is looking to get rid of that winter beard.

Found tons of the HDD at 30% off today - first good deals at this Target in almost a year. I'm going to check back on Monday and see if they've dropped any further before biting, but I'll definitely be picking one up...
i saw demons soul's (ps3) for 29.98 in the clearance section at my local target. marked down from 59
damn, my targets seriously suck :(, never anything good like I keep hearing about on here

if it makes you feel any better mines the same way, i just have been checking so often lately since i work at a staples like right across from a target in the same little shopping center so i either walk or drive there after work depending on how lazy i am. im really only hoping for ninja gaiden sigma 2 but am doubting it since theres still copies behind the glass

Single copy of Dark Void for $14.XX and an assload of SW: Republic Heroes on pc for $7.XX. Left them cause I have no interest in them at all.
I picked up a 12 pack at A&P for $.59. Roasted them over a fire, was absolutely amazing. Sugar on the outside got crispy and the insides got nice and soft.
Glad you found a way to prepare Peeps to actually make them edible, they are one of the worst candy ever next to the orange and black wrapper peanut butter flavored shits.
