Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

I was unaware the Wii Fit was so popular. Stock around here never flew off the shelves. Thus my surprise when it did once it hit 62.

Maybe they secretly have one or two hidden somewhere. It'd be lovely if they did.

The only time i have ever even seen anyone purchase fits was that day they had the wii fit demonstration, there was a huge line of middle aged people in electronics buying a wii & wii fit plus, with their $15 gc of course.

It's a novelty item. People buy it thinking that's a true piece of exercise equipment. However, they're just fooling themselves.

That said, it makes for a great party game, along the same lines of Rockband. Except that people have to take turns looking silly on a board:), instead of playing plastic instruments together.

Strange, saw many Wii fit today, think it was $62 as well, did not pay much attention to them since have no Wii and not really interested in them anyway. There were more than five.

Prices seems to drop slower...:whistle2:|
Greensboro NC had about a million copies of :360: Shaun White Snowboarding for $7.48, which is the cheapest I've seen it.
Given the up-to-75%-off pricing trends at Target, that game will probably go to $3.74 (originally $14.99). That's what it'll be time to buy.

Some decent DS games in this drop-- Naruto, Advance Wars Days of Ruin, Hotel Dusk, etc. Of course, I'm waiting for them to go to $4.99-$7.49 before I jump. ;)

Went to my local Target.

Lots of PS2 and Wii shovelware.

iconps2_r2.gif

Devil Kings 7.xx
Ghostbusters 9.xx
Mercenaries 2 14.xx

iconps3.gif

Madden '09 7.xx

iconxbox360.gif

Midnight Club LA 20.xx
Bionic Commando 14.xx

No great deals on games. They also had Epsom printers/scanners on the endcap for 50.xx and generic iPod car adapters for 24.xx.
The funny thing is, there are 3 stores in G'boro.
Two of them had 333,333 copies and one had 333,334. ;)

Or just go to Lawndale Drive if you really want to get yer virtual Flying Tomato on.

just got back from a central IN target

they had 4 Xbox 360 Wired controllers for $27.98
(can't wait for these guys to hit under 20)

It has more value than that. I can stop spending $150/month on physical therapy for one of my kids with a Wii Fit.

No, it is no replacement for free weights, but a 9 year old should not be doing free weights.

Wow, I'd love to find a Wii Fit on clearance. I work at TRU & we've been out for a while. And everyday soccer moms come in looking for it, saying they already checked the surrounding Best Buy, Target & GS.

I was in Target today and I never forget to look at clearance items. They had a ton of Wii games, but I was looking for mainly DS titles here's what I found (some with lower prices).

notable:
Hotel Dusk is now $5.98 - Two of these were chillin' there, both marked at this price, I'm going to bite if they still have them tomorrow!
Fire Emblem is still 20.98 - Hopefully it will go lower...I want this game so bad!

meh games:
High School Muscial is $9.98
Spectrobes: Beyond the Portal is $13.98

There was one of those cooking tutor games, but I had no interest and didn't even check the price.

Actually the Wii Balance Board is an extremely advanced piece of technology:

http://kotaku.com/5451660/wii-balance-board-goes-forth-in-the-name-of-science
http://gizmodo.com/5379561/nintendo-wii-balance-boards-to-fight-aircraft-terrorism

Whether or not it's effective as a real piece of exercise equipment depends on how dedicated you are to using it. Although if you don't think yoga is exercise, then Wii Fit definitely isn't for you.

Wasn't really saying it was poor balance board or anything of the sort. I'm aware Yoga has its benefits.

However, if you're obese (not talking about having the extra 5-10 lbs everyone is trying to lose), you're kidding yourself if you think 20 minutes of Wii board based games are going to get you to lose that fat.
Go to a gym with regularity and change your diet...it's not rocket science or a game.:)

Well that much activity is more than the people would usually get and if a game makes the person get up and do something, I'm all for it.

Maybe they secretly have one or two hidden somewhere. It'd be lovely if they did.
Wii Fit is only one of the best selling games of all time. Over 22 million sold according to vgchartz.com.

Found two games that magically appeared today out of nowhere...

:360:
Ghostbusters and Red Faction : Guerrilla

They were marked $29.98 and $19.98, respectively. Bad thing is that they scanned as "Item not recognized". Employee told me that were salvage but I convinced a group of them to sell it to me. They quoted me $15 for Ghostbusters :whistle2:& and $10 for Red Faction. Needless to say I purchased Red Faction.

I also purchased Gears of War 2 GOTY for $20.98 and Lips Number One Hits for $30.

Good day at Target, but that free 1600 points coupon doesn't work anymore. :(

Found a few things today: one of the burgandy tomtoms, priced at 80, will check back next week, a transformers revenge of the fallen for 7.xx (while I was debating it some guy pushed me and told the clerk he wanted it) and L-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey for 19.xx.

Wow, Wii Fit Plus is sold out everywhere ... wonder if the demand will drive the price up? I know a couple Targets still have boards, but I think they're full price. Wonder if it's worth grabbing one just in case there's some sort of rush on them by crazy casual gamers.

I know select Sports Authority stores carry Wii Fit Plus... Just FYI because most don't know that...
About 60 copies (not kidding) of Halo 3 for $7.48 @ the Story Rd. location in South San Jose.
Thank you HellMark. I live in North Carolina but my father lives in San Jose, will ask him to pick me up a couple of copies tomorrow.

I wasn't going to say anything but you continue to be a hater.

1) any piece of exercise equipment is what you put into it. The wii balance board is not a "novelty item."

2) if you're obese, then the Wii Fit is exactly what you need. Because unlike people who need to lose 5-10 lbs, obese people will benefit from any additional exercise. A little jumpstart might help them be more active. Yes, if you buy it and it collects dust, then it's useless. But so is a gym membership.

The Wii balance board is very cool. At $64, it's a great buy too.

With the huge amount of Xmas sales for Nintendo this year, a lot of Wii owners are clamoring for it.

Prices on ebay seem a little high, but I would not go investing money in it--the ROI just isn't worth the risk IMHO.

Found a copy of Section 8 :360: in the glass case for 14.98 today. It was already salvaged and I couldn't talk them in to taking less, but had to try. They also had Bioshock 2 within arms reach that would've been purchasable but hadn't actually been put on display yet.

If anybody could pick up an extra copy of this, I will paypal $20 shipped.

PM me if you can get it.

About 20 copies of Shaun White Snowboarding Target Special Edition for XBox 360 for $7.48 at the store off Hwy 288 & FM518 in Pearland TX behind the glass display.

Saw the following:
Spiderman Web of Shadows DS 9.98
Ghostbusters DS 13.98
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass DS $17.98
MW2 Hardened Edition 360 $39.98 - copies in poor shape...plastic ripped etc.
Demon's Soul still $41.98

On a side note, they had a few LCD TVs on clearance at decent prices:

Sony 46" LCD 999.98
Westinghouse 26" LCD 289.98

Wow if the Story Road location had 60 copies of Halo 3 last night they must have been wiped out this morning because they don't have any left now (I grabbed 2, but that's it ... Btw it's 12:41 so don't say I stole your copy). But crazy that so many would disappear so fast!

No way 60 copies went that fast. I got 2 myself. There was 2 locations in the clearance area that had them. Maybe the one section sold out. The other was a few spots down.

Must be a ton of CAGs in the Bay Area. :)

Beatles Rock Band (full bundle, 360 version only) now 30% off at $17x.xx

Band Hero (full bundle, 360 version only) now 30% off at $13x.xx

Rock Band (full bundle, ps2 only) at $9x.xx

It's cool if some CAGs got in on the deal but there's a reason that I never post exactly where I get clearance stuff, fucking vultures will buy up everything.

That's for sure, especially in CA ! I was looking for a bike on clearance last week, None in all of So. CA. ! I just wanted one, but I heard of guys buying up 10 or more of whatever they had on clearance

Just go to the flea market in San Jose and find good deals. I might go there to see what's going on there if it's not raining tomorrow.

Hit 6 Targets (3 at lunch, 3 on the way home) looking for Beatles RB LE for 360 @ $125.

4 of the 6 had it at $175. (About 10 copies total between the 4 stores)
Hoping for a drop on Monday. May go back and grab one tomorrow just in case.

FYI, None of the stores within 100 miles showed any inventory via Target.com.

Target registers generally won't let you sell street dated items at all (impossible to override).

I saw Amazon had Beatles Rock Band LE for 360 on sale for $139. If your state is tax-free on Amazon purchases, that's almost as good a deal and you don't have to waste gas and time looking for it on clearance. Just thought I should mention it.

Found a bunch of Seagate 500gb external drives for $52 at the Meriden, CT Targhetto. Some of them were ticketed properly while others look like they were missed. The mis-marked ones should scan up at the cheaper price. My roommate was in the market for one of these so he picked up one.

Very nice :) My store is still a bit higher than that last I checked, but once it falls under $50 I'll probably be grabbing one to keep around as a back up if nothing else.
