Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

The DS Guitar Hero double packs have been stuck at $21.24 for a while by me. Does a **.24 price point mean that's as low as its going to go? Original price was 89.99 so they haven't reached 90% reduction yet.

If you want one, I'd grab at 75%. At least the Targets around me will NOT take them to 90%... The only game I ever saw go to 90% off was Tony Hawk Proving Ground back a year or so ago...

**.24 does usually mean that is the final cut, but sometimes items will drop to 85% off. As crazed said if you want one, buy it now and if the rare 85% drop happens, buy again and return with the old (75% off) receipt.
 
Found Gears of War 2 XBOX GOTY for 20.98, 30% off. Only one copy available and only one Target I've seen it at so I went ahead and picked it up.

At another one, saw about 8 copies of Ultimate Alliance 2 XBOX for 29.99, basically matching Newegg's deal.
 
anyone been able to find demon's souls in north jersey? i've checked 3 targets and called another and nothing. i've got a $25 gift card and dont wanna use it on anything else. damn.

Snagged Demon's Souls for $29.98 at Target on Main St. in Kalamazoo. There were three or four copies left, but they were all in the regular case tagged with clearance stickers, not on an end cap.

Same here! I'm sure it would do GREAT! I do hate making that 2-2.5 hour trek one way to get there, but it's well worth it.

not sure if it's been stated & I know monoprice seems to be the way to go when it comes to hdmi cables, but I saw the ps3 brand of hdmi cables along with extra charge cable for $34.99 @ one of the targets near me. I know it's kinda high, but it is a 1st party accessory & if that drops to $20 it could be a sweet deal.

The sub-$10 hdmi cable from monoprice will still do just as good as that Playstation brand cable.

I'm thinking about picking up the PS3 cable pack for the 10 ft charge cable and the 10 ft HDMI cable when it hits $25 just because I need another HDMI cable, and a longer charge cable is never a bad thing.

Question about the clearanced L4D GotY. Is it the non-PH GotY that is clearanced and the PH GotY that rings up full price? Thought when I researched it earlier that there were non-PH GotY and PH GotY versions of L4D. Would explain why some can find it clearanced while others can't. I spent quite a bit of time looking for the non-PH GotY version. Every PH version I found around here rings up full price.
 
I saw the PH version on the shelf at $7.48 at one store, and on the shelf at a different store at $29.99

Both scanned at the price on the shelf.(both were in the wall of games, not in the glass case)

They were a better deal from Kmart for $8(plus tax) each.;) I think the employees nearly shit themselves when I had them take them out and they came up $7.99 a pack.

I bought all three of them, sold one to another CAG(local one) and I still have two left which are on indefinite hold since I may be grabbing a 21" LCD monitor with HDMI on it for my PS3 and in the event I get an actual HDtv(assuming they ever stop being $600 for a 20-24" one:roll:).

Was that with the USB cable also?

Also, Kmart had a nice HDTV that was 26" for $120. I know because I picked one up. It works perfectly in HD with my 360 and PS3.

That was the pack, the same one that's finally being clearanced at Target.

I also picked up one of the 2 packs of the Sony USB cables(10 foot ones) for $1 or whatever they were.

Knowing my local Kmarts, that 26" tv for $120 was probably 'sold out'(aka hidden in the back by employees when it first went on clearance), since I've never found anything but a damaged Sony 26" that they still wanted $175 for.
 
Well, if you ever want to get rid of one of those cable sets let me know. ;)

And the TV was the Memorex 26"

I saw the PH version of L4D GotY at our local Target for $29.99. However, it rang up as $7.48 when I scanned it.
 
Oh, if you find a PC copy of vanilla L4D1 (not the GOTY edition) it should finally ring up as $20

It was $30 for the longest time, but I checked a copy today and it's now $20.

Picked up Gears of War 2 for $14.98 at Manhattan Beach Target in CA. They had about 15 copies left but be careful, half of them had "cuts" on the sides. Whoever opened the case, had used the box cutter too deeply, and had damaged the cases as well.
