Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

$14.98 Demon's Souls?!

I never saw it since launch over here in the Oregon Target. Has any Pacific NW CAG ever seen it in their Target?
 
are these target clearances universal? I called my local store the guy found 1 lego batman in the back but he said it was 19.99...so i am wondering if I go try to pick it up...how can I explain that its suppose to be $4.98

No drops at the West Madison Target. Looked for Singstar Queen and Personal Trainer Walking and they were both at the same price as last week. (verified on the scanner as well.)

Nice price on the harddrive. I got mines at the price before that since there were only 2 units left and it was right before the double snow storms we had in Philly. Will check my local Target before I head home to check on prices.

Please take time to read the first couple pages of a thread and the last 10 pages of a long established thread, such as this one and the the other clearance type threads you are posting basic questions in...
reading will answer most if not all your questions and give your additional info.
Glancing at a couple posts and then asking for some one to take time and answer questions already answered repeatedly will not ingraciate yourself into the community...
 
Some doofus friend kept my copy of Guitar Hero Metallica in "good condition" by scratching the hell out of it and soaking the case insert... ugh. I've been trying to find a 360 copy clearanced for ~$20 in the middle TN area for the last 24-48 hours but have had no luck. Lots of PS3 and Wii copies though (but sometimes at 27.98)! Any luck for anyone else?
 
No Demon Souls ins tock at my local target, and the TH:Ride bundles were still ringing up at 119.99

I don't think they've done any clearance drops yet, as QOS was still 20.xx and HAWX was still close to 30.

Isn't there a gamecrazy in brentwood? take the scratched copy there and have em buff it ...
 
This afternoon I saw :ps2:Ghostbusters for $4.98, and a Westinghouse 26" lcd for $299.98. Nothing else stood out(tons of DS shovelware). I did find some nice Hanes boxers for 75% off though, so the trip wasn't a total waste.

He did buy them for $14.98. He's trying to get $40 each for them. Who would be stupid enough to spend $140+tax to make $160? The hassle of 4 transactions with 4 people is not worth less than $20. If he was actually trying to help out CAGs, he would have left the games at the store on the off chance that they dropped further.

I ain't hating. You gotta hustle some money somehow.

Glad to see some stores still have good clearance. All the targets by me switched to Wii, DS, crappy PS2/PSP titles, and unwanted Guitar Hero games (Smash Hits).

The one in Brentwood closed a few months ago when they were closing 200 GC stores. There is still one in Murfreesboro though.

Ya, this is probably what he's doing.

Something else though, why bother with the $34.98 "lie"? If somebody wanted it for $40(+ S/h) they could use gohastings or glyde.com. So if it actually hit $14.98, then the people waiting for it to hit that in his local area would know if it was $34.98 before, meaning they wouldn't pay $5 more then what they already wouldn't pay($34.98).

Seems to me like that CAG just wanted to seem like a good guy, while hoarding...though if he truly was a "good guy" he would have left at least 1 copy. So he obviously knows hording is usually frowned upon here at CAG, and feels he has to justify it somehow by letting some people buy it from him for only $5 more so then he can say he helped his fellow CAG out before another horder grabbed them all and sold it on ebay. Tsk, tsk, tsk...

SHUT UP I'M BORED AT WORK! So yes, I did analyze a little too much.

I'd rather have a new copy than a rebuff though. And yeah, said friend will be reimbursing, but he is as cheap of a bastard as I am. Trying to take some of the load off.

I went to 2 targets and nothing new was out. I did pick up (again) Star Wars Unleashed for $5 this time and returned it. I had bought it for $10 last week.
 
I'm just going to stop looking at the clearance section. I've done it like 20 times and have only found one good deal (Red Faction Guerilla 360 for $20 in January).
 
Heh, RFG is $20 everywhere now. The clearance section the other day was the best I've seen it. One other time I got Metroid Prime Hunters on clearance but that was years ago.

All Demon Souls were gone, I don't believe they ever made it to $14.xx here. I haven't seen it at any other Target in the area.

I've picked up some really good stuff over there over time but going to that Target is part of my ritual every Monday. That one does get cleaned out quick since it's next to Ohio State so just stay on it. I've noticed that one has a good selection of games on sale compared to other Targets around Columbus.

I know I checked the inventory in the Seattle area right after the game went on clearance and there were none at any store, so I am guessing it was never stocked up here.

Good for you, but you know who does? The mods. And they make the rules, so it is best if you follow them. And why would anyone give a deal to someone who is clearly just being an ass?
