Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
You Bastard !! :) I was going to check that one tomorrow , But No Chocolate and No Games = No Dice ! Seriously !
Well there were tons more chocolates there, like literally dozens more tins. Also new clearance games may go on tomorrow since it's Monday (if you are lucky). If you go and see anything new post it.

Checked my Target tonight and didn't find much. RE5 (360) was $20.xx and the rest was shovelware. I ended up getting the last and only copy of MLB 2K9 on the PS3 at $13.xx because I'm a big baseball fan and Spring Training is right around the corner. I played the crap out of The Show 09 last year so this will be a good change.
Went to Target last night to grab that acer 21.5" monitor - LOVING IT! I'd have loved to get it for less than $160, but now I can enjoy my PS3 in proper AR :)
It is pretty sweet, isn't it?;) The best part(aside from the crisp, colorful picture)about the monitor is that you don't even have to spend another $5 shipped from Monoprice for an HDMI cable, since Acer was nice enough to include one right in the box.:D

If they put those on clearance eventually and I can find one @ 50% off, I'll probably grab a spare.
Do I punch the DPCI number right onto the standard "price scanner" to see the price?
What is this about DPCI #'s? Is this Target's inventory # system for each item? If so, where does one find a list of such #'s?

I had considered just printing out the barcodes for a list of certain games & scanning them on their store price checker scanners. Mainly for games that were in the case that might be clearanced but aren't marked as such.

There's quite a few of them listed in the first post(in yellow), but your Target has to have the newer scanners that have numbers along one side to enter in the DCPI#'s with.
What monitor is everyone picking up?
It's the Acer H213H 21.5" monitor. It's currently $159.99 at Target. It's full 1080p, has a built in HDMI port and comes with an HDMI cable right in the box. It's a great first HD display if you don't wanna pay $600-700 for an HDtv.

The speakers are a bit meh, but I'm trying to locate an external pair to use with it that're both cheap and decent.

I was just joshing ya ! Who Doesnt Love Candy at 90 % OFF ? Who ? That Target can be hit or miss , I dont get to check it as often as I could but if you say theres more chocolate I may have to investigate. :D

Check target.com for the product you are looking for. Once you find said item, under "additional info" it has the DCPI #, ASIN #, etc.
Anyone have the DPCI numbers on those netbooks that are being clearanced?
I want to say it's this netbook:

http://www.target.com/Acer-Aspire-UltraThin-Netbook-Computer/dp/B0007SQED2/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&searchView=grid5&frombrowse=0&node=1038576&keywords=acer%20netbook&field_browse=1038576&searchSize=30&id=Acer%20Aspire%20UltraThin%20Netbook%20Computer&field_availability=-2&refinementHistory=subjectbin%2Ctarget_com_age%2Ctarget_com_gender-bin%2Ctarget_com_character-bin%2Cprice%2Ctarget_com_primary_color-bin%2Ctarget_com_size-bin%2Ctarget_com_brand-bin&searchNodeID=1038576&field_launch-date=-1y&searchRank=target104545&searchPage=1&field_keywords=acer%20netbook

... But I'm not entirely sure. Anyways the DCPI # for the above netbook is 080-11-0288. I'll have to double check when I go to target tomorrow. I know that when I entered the DCPI # into the scanner a few weeks ago it was around the $130 range so that is about 50% off right now.

Nice, thanks for the number ... I noticed there is exactly one of each (HP & Acer netbooks) that come up on the Target website as available in store, and all the local stores have them in stock ... so I can't imagine those two are the ones on clearance. If you get a chance to double check the DPCI numbers on those clearance units or even just the particular models, that would be awesome to find out, since I know Target employees can check all available stock in the area.

That's how I found my wii fit that I was able to flip for a decent profit ... I'd love to take that $$ and pick up a nice netbook at a discount.

Btw, these are the two models that show up as sold in stores, from what I can tell -

Is there anything special about the Acer monitor? I grabbed a Dynex HDTV 19" at BestBuy last month for 159.99 (this is the normal price still) and use it for an hdtv and an external monitor for my hp netbook. Love it. I guess the extra 3 inches on the Acer would have been nice for the same price.

Well, it does have the HDMI port and a DVI port with HDCP, so you could use a convertor to make a second HDMI port and use it with 2 inputs.

Otherwise, there's no internal tuner, so you'd have to get a cable box with HDMI on it to use it as a tv.

But the picture is incredible on it in comparison to my SDtv I was using for my PS3.

I'd be happy with just one extra inch. For my monitor I mean...

:whistle2:#

Does anyone have the DCPI # for the ACER monitor? I only read back a couple pages, but I couldn't find it. Is it even on clearance?
I want to say it's this netbook:

I would have grabbed it.......no way will those survive another drop, the employees would snatch them up on lunch break

You can check if it's in stock in your area here:
I was at the Target in Montgomeryville, PA, and I found some goodies. I couldn't pick them up myself, but it may interest someone here.

Guitar Hero: Metallica (PS3) - $19.99
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits (360) - $19.99
I was hoping to find Demon Souls at the Target close to my house and close to work but no luck. I did find a copy of the ones above at the Reston, VA Target.

Is there a way to check which stores might have this game than to go to the actual store and search the clearance aisles?

It's not on clearance and it's listed on Target.com as 'in-store only' anymore(since it sold out on there).

Here's the page for it: http://www.target.com/Acer-21-5-Wid...target104545&searchPage=1&field_keywords=acer

Here's the DCPI for it: 080-00-0167

Blah...no drops this week at mine. They've had some stuff sitting at 50% going on 3 weeks now. I even double checked via the price scanner, but everything came up as marked. I'm gonna swing back through later in the day to make sure they aren't just slow to update.

I'm literally waiting on the motherload to drop to 75%: 2 RB Beatles (xbox and ps3), fallout 3, GH Metallica, Singstar ABBA, HAWX, Skate 2, Transformers RoTF (PSP), all have been at 50% for 2-3 weeks.

What's funny is this is the happiest any CAG will ever see IATCG for spending 160 bucks.

Just scored GTA4:EFLC.... for $9.97

EDIT-Also seen Fight Night Round 4 for $9.97

Something I also noticed was they have moved all the clearance games to their own end cap with a big video game clearance sign on it. They still have the old clearance section in electronics but this end cap was between the dvds and blu-rays facing the back of the store, thought that was a strange place to put it.

Targets clearance prices vary from store to store.

What's Singstar ABBA going for at your store? I haven't seen that one around Madison, WI in quite some time. My wife and kids would love that. (5 year old has become an ABBA fan thanks to the Mamma Mia CD the MIL gave her. Damnit.

Any chance it was a wrong sticker? what was the DCPI on that? hard to read... looks liek 207 22 0418?

RB Beatles and BH finally dropped to 125 and 100. Really hoping they last until 75% off!

No drops anywhere else.

Really wish I could find MW2 HE for 360, but no dice...

(love to trade or buy from someone that has it at their Target... Pm if u can help me out! I will make it worth it to u!)

Target clearance prices are YMMV (i.e. a certain game may be on clearance at one store while another store still has it at full price).

Here is a very important snippet from the OP:
The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

When I missed the $20 sale on Amazon, I said I wouldn't bite on the game any higher than $20, now that I can get it for less, I don't think I'll even pay $20 for it

I gotta hit up Target at lunch. Did your store have any more?

Sonic really needs to add YMMV at the top of the first post.

Don't bother heading to the College Pt., NY store. Nothing new, and nothing dropped in price.

Must've missed the Band Hero drops 'cause the only two at the store (x360) are gone. Target drop karma...the one time you don't check will be the one time the darn thing drops.

YMMV on GTA. I just scanned it and it rang up full price. Good job, though.

I mean, I dunno. I can. I just wasn't aware I needed to spell it out for people. I mean, I don't specifically list the occurence of a game not being in clearance, although I thought the bit about game's prices being higher than listed covered it in a sort-of-not-really-covering it sort of way.

But I'll put YMMV, in nice big letters for all to see. Good suggestion and hopefully it'll pre-emptively answer questions.

The post IMMEDIATELY above yours clearly shows it is needed.

Stores drop at different rates, etc... but you still get posts that say "this rang up full price! YMMV!"

target clearance is ymmv, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

Hey. There you are. Regarding the Grand Theft Auto game, and you squinting at the picture trying to make out the DPCI. This is the second time you've ignored the fact that the OP has the DPCI you're looking for listed.

Are you in silent protest of the thread?

Thanks!

And to Mr. Newz, duly noted. I think there is indeed a distinction between a game not even entering clearance as opposed to a game being in a different cycle of pricing. Oddly it's a point I've never thought about when I constructed the intro of the OP. Thanks Confoosious and Mr. Newz.
