Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
how come everytime theres drama on any of the threads here Confoosis is all up in it. EVERYTIME! now im not saying that return "fraud" is right,it isnt. but having worked in retail,i see that people who try and return something to another store, either get away with it,or get told that it can not be returned,no one ever gets the police called and gets a case against them(costing the state money). in early 2009 at my nearest wal-mart there were copies of several ps3,360 games that had circuit city tags on them.........in the glass case, for sale.
I bet more then one of the people yelling FRAUD! would be quick to do this if it benefited THEM! However i do not condone this!!
Because I like to point out shady and stupid people.

Are you one?

Question, I called the Target in North Dartmouth, MA and asked if they had Killzone 2 and Demons Souls. The kid said they had Killzone 2 @ $59.99(lulz) and they did not have Demon's Souls. Now, when I call, will they just give me the retail price, or the clearance price? Could there be a copy of Killzone 2 in the clearance section for $14.98? I'm aware that it's YMMV, and every store is different. Has anyone had any experience with this particular store? Do they tend to put clearance up a lot?
Picked up Mid Club 360 in So Cal for $7.48 . I'd say there are about 25 left .
Whereabouts in So Cal? ;)

Anyone know if that PS3 Endwar w/ Bluetooth mic package is still on clearance? I only recently bought a PS3 and would love to get a good mic for it.

Generally speaking, don't call them. If it is on clearance, you just may be alerting an employee of a low price and they decide to pick up the last copy and just tell you there are none.

Steve, you're an idiot. Not everyone is a hoarder.

Although I agree on one point -- never call on a deal. Always go and scan it yourself/put it in the scanner yourself.

I picked up a clearance copy of Prototype (Xbox 360) for $19.98 tonight. Last copy too. Yet another game to add to my ever-expanding backlog...

Have you checked Best Buy for one yet? They dropped the Endwar bundles to $19.99 for both PS3 and 360 a little while ago.

PS3 sku:9093349
360 sku:9093321

Nothing dropped here =/, RE5 is STILL 19.99, if it doesnt drop by monday, im gonna lose all hope. Also, someone either brought or hid the last copy of Fallout 3 for 360 (Was 27.99), either way, i hate them >_>.
No.. but I definitely will... $20 is a good price for that bundle right?
Both the PS3 and 360 headsets go for $40-50 each, so I'd say yes.;):D Although people have reported having issues with the 360 headset, as I guess the battery in them have lost too much of a charge to properly charge up initially.

I think a bunch of folks who found the bundles had to have them sent in to MS, though the PS3 ones seem to be fine.

BTW, you can enter in the SKU# in place of any other SKU when you search for stock. Don't be discouraged if it comes up as not in stock though, as I think if a store has only 1-3 of an item it'll show up as out of stock.

Hey guys, keep a look out for GOW2: GOTY and Prototype for cheap for me. My targets suck!!!!!

Oh, and I mean CHEAP-cheap, like 75%-90% off. So, whatever that is for each game. Would like your price to be no more than $10 if possible. THanks in advance, and I hope someone can help!!!!!
How many clearance endcaps do your Targets have guys?

One? or two? For video games.
.5, no joke!!!!!!! There's one endcap, but the bottom is filled with regular priced shovelware!!!!!!!!!!

You talking about Greenbriar? I saw that lone Fallout there earlier in the week. I originally went to the games end cap and found nothing. All of the good stuff had been moved to the books and movies clearance end cap. I thought it was funny that someone had placed children's books in front of all of the games to half assed hide them. I obviously moved all the kids books.

Forgot to mention in this thread, I saw 2 copies of Mass Effect 2 CE @ the Target around Oceana. I bought one earlier in the week but there was still one there as of Tuesday hidden in the glass case at the bottom because the package didn't fit in their new zip-cord style cases.

Side note, my girlfriend was inspired by my clearance finds and started looking around and found some Ed Hardy shirts and a purse on clearance. I think they were $55 shirts marked down to $13. Ultimately, she opted not to buy them in favor of not being a douche.
hey does anyone know if the online item in stock at store thing is accurate because it says 3 bestbuys around me have them but I didnt see them on the floor....could they possibly be in the back?
They could have them in the back. Did you check every shelf in the PS3/360 section? The one I found was behind another game bundle(one of the Buzz games, I think), so you may have to move shit around to find them.

Unfortunately none of mine show up as having it in stock. So the PS3 version comes with an official Sony Bluetooth adapter and the Xbox version comes with an official Microsoft wireless headset? That's really cool.

Yeah. I managed to find ONE of the PS3 ones about a month ago. It was still marked $89.99 too. The game is worth nothing anywhere already, but the headsets more than make up for that.;)
Hey guys, keep a look out for GOW2: GOTY and Prototype for cheap for me. My targets suck!!!!!

Oh, and I mean CHEAP-cheap, like 75%-90% off. So, whatever that is for each game. Would like your price to be no more than $10 if possible. THanks in advance, and I hope someone can help!!!!!
I will try to find prototype for you it was $27 last week .... I am going this monday

I'm going to Best Buy on Monday to return this POS Toshiba laptop I got and buy the Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral DualDisc.. I'll keep my eyes peeled for these bundles.

Yep, planning to check again tommorow to see if anything dropped, or anything else showed up. (Like the Wired Controllers mysteriously showing up), gonna check the one on Millitary on monday, hoping Fight Night and Guitar Hero:SH finally dropped there. Havent gone since last Tuesday

And yeah, whoever put those books there made me laugh, someone else tried to be clever and hide a couple of copy of RE5, and Batman AA (PC), behind one of the Rock Band Beatles sets.

Thanks, man!!!!

I love Target for this reason...I've bought so many clearance games. It's wonderful. All so cheap, too.

In my area, there are a few sports games on clearance for the 360; I don't remember their names. RE5 (360) might still be around, and if it has, its price should have dropped to $15. There's also Lego RB (360) at another location. I haven't checked the price, but it should probably be around $21. There's also GH:Smash Hits (PS3) that's on clearance right now.

So bump I bought Ps3 buzz tv for $14.98 on 1-6-10. Went to play it with the family last night and one on the buzzers doesn't work. Gonna have to return it and I know there are none left in this area for that price.
Steve, you're an idiot. Not everyone is a hoarder.

Although I agree on one point -- never call on a deal. Always go and scan it yourself/put it in the scanner yourself.
LOL, I never said everyone was. I said you MAY be alerting the employee to a deal, not will. Odds are they won't give a crap.

You should try to find some at Gamestop. They do sell the wireless and wired buzzers used. Last time I checked, the wireless ones were $9.99 and the wired ones were $2.99.

I picked up prototype (on xbox 360) for just $20 this weekend at a Target store on the far north side of Phoenix az.

Thanks I was kinda thinking that. I have some games I want to trade in so I'll inquire about the price before I return it to target.

No he is not an idiot, the target employee's do this all the time in my area

That sucks, man. I'd love to get it at that price tho. Have to keep my eye out.

Yeah, most don't. I didn't realize you were on here til I saw your gamertag. Small world.

To keep this on-topic... My Target hasn't done ANY electronics markdowns whatsoever. I was watching some 46 inch Sony Bravia's at $899.98 but they all sold between Friday/Saturday. I was hoping to watch the 2 in the backroom sell, then grab the floor model for $899 - 30% off (plus the extra 10% being an employee) .. $566 for a 46 inch floor model Bravia isn't a bad deal at all in my books, and I'd usually gripe about buying a floor model.
has anyone found any gta episodes from liberty city for 360? my store still has em ringing up regular price....
Well, Monday is coming. The markdown may reach a few more stores across the country this coming week.

Saw a stack of Quantum of Solace for PS3 marked down to $14.98 behind glass case today. These have been there for the longest time at $20.
Anyone that found Demon's Souls on the cheap willing to sell/trade? PM me
Picked it up for $42. Went to see if it dropped and all 5 copies were gone. The one I picked up is going back.
