Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Went to 2 Targets today, both had almost nothing. The only clearance games they had were Transformers and Ghostbusters for the PC, both 75% off. ONLY things on video game clearance at either.
State College, PA has Brutal Legend (360) for $41.98. Terrible deal considering it's down to $19.99 at Gamestop.
Even worse deal considering you can grab it for $10 used at Blockbuster.;)

Stopped by an out of the way Target today and found 3 copies of Gears of War 2... Scanned at the checker as "not found". I already have the limited version and don't plan on trading it in. But if you have any local Targets, make sure you check the value games section. That's where these were sitting.

The State College store has had terrible clearance deals for the better part of a year. The last deal I got there was a PS3 EndWar bundle for $22 back in June or July. It only got worse when they removed their original clearance endcap and put the stuff on that tiny display island.

Man, I'd been checking my Target every week waiting for RE5 to go down from $19.9x to $9.9x. At first there were 10 copies, then 8, then 5, then last week 2...this week they're all gone, and no idea if they even dropped or if there were just two last people who thought $19 was a good price.

That's the way it goes unfortunately. Around here you're lucky if the games even make it to 30% off before some shlep comes in and buys them up.

Every time I've ever looked for games on half.com, they're usually overpriced. Then again, I go on there looking for newer stuff usually.

I may try GoHastings again, if they have their 30% off sale again sometime.

Any new drops for this week?, I don't see new drops... I want to save some gas..... around my area, almost everything is clean....

Most targets have not opened yet and they usually drop on mondays or so i'm told I'll be checking the SE Mass area in about 2 hours. It would help to know where you are to see if anyone around you has scoured the targets.

man, I always get excited when I see this at the top on Monday morning! thanks all east coasters for getting out and checking so early! Its been 3 weeks w/ no new content drop, last week we saw the final lowest prices in 90% of areas on the assortment that was at hand (definitely all gone now :D )

So today will either bring new titles to the drop, or nothing at all, while all the remaining My Quit Smoking Coach get grabbed for $7.48 by CAGs just so they don't go home empty handed

There are still Targets around me that have :ps3:Bakugan, :ps3: Singstar Queen, :ps3: GH: Metallica sitting in the case at 75% off... And then the 3 :360: GOW2 that came up as "Out of System" at the out of the way Target yesterday that I left there... I do pretty well with Targets around here. The only thing I missed recently was :360: Lips: #1 hits... I would have loved to have had an extra mic... Oh well.

Hit two Targets this morning, nothing of interest for me. All the :360: Wired Controllers were gone, which were what I was looking for.

Mostly just the same :pc: games from last week (Batman, Transformers, Ghost Busters, etc.). Only new things I saw were:

:360: Dark Void $41.xx
:360: Brutal Legend $41.xx

Didn't feel like tacking on another hour to my trip just to check two more stores a little farther out. I should have just stayed in bed.

someone needs to tell Target that BL's new MSRP is $19.99. Freaking amazing!! that is truly one I hope the soccer moms go apesh*t over and hoard, would serve them right

With Mondays being the day for drops, I usually wait a few hours after they open to check the situation out. My three nearby Targets usually have their price drops finished by noon.

I checked the DCPI of those controllers at the one store locally where they were clearanced. They all of a sudden disappeared. I figured they had dropped (finally)... Manually entered the DCPI... Wrong. Still $27.98 on the scanner, yet someone grabbed them shitz. Weird.

don't let this hold you back, it is my understanding that even if the peons haven't got around to manually changing they prices, you can scan them in, and if they changed, it will be reflected.

One of my local Targets has a pile of them for 19.98. If they manage to drop to 9.98 I would probably pick one up for a backup.

Really rooting for some new stuff this week but I don't have high hopes - there'll likely be more Dark Void / Brutal Legend / Tiger Woods drops but I don't expect them to vanish quickly since they've all dropped substantially in price lately. Still haven't seen a Punch-Out :wii: drop on either the standalone or big box version.

I always thought the price didn't change until whatever pricing team actually came around, scanned the item and updated the price (or if it can't be found but they show stock just updates the price manually). But I really have no idea.

They did the same thing with a few other titles as well. Bionic Commando had It's clearance d start way above the $19.99 MSRP. Sadly someone that isn't educated of It's MSRP will buy it above the MSRP.

I am about to check out mine here in pensacola fl.

Nothing will ever be as legendary as the great 1600 MS point card with purchase of xbox hardware debacle. That was so awesome.

at my target in garner nc they had borderlands pc for 34.98 its not a great deal but its ok since borderlands price wont seem to budge
don't let this hold you back, it is my understanding that even if the peons haven't got around to manually changing they prices, you can scan them in, and if they changed, it will be reflected.
Hey token, which Targets do you usually go to?

South Huntsville, AL Target had:

PSP - Rock Band Unplugged $7.48
PC - Transformers $7.48
PS2 - Siphone Filter $6.XX
PS3 - Sony USB & HDMI cord pack $24.98

The Transformers and most of the Rock Band Unplugged games were on an end cap near the DVDs. They were just mixed in with other stuff.

RE5 for PS3 went from $19.99 to $29.99. Thought that was odd. The SW clone wars game was down to $19.99 as was Brutal Legend.

Just checked 2 targets around Southeastern Mass , Seekonk had 4-5 Copies of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for 15$ PSP Rock Band Unplugged, and Bioshock 1 for PC for 5$ which if ya never played it's a great price for a great game. Other than that they both had the usual suspects Singstar Queen, Batman: AA, A few shovelware Wii games and even more shovelware DS titles if anyone finds Gears 2 and would like to ship it to me PM with the price and as long as shipping isn't too bad I'll scoop it up

At my Target you have to wait for the clearance crew to come around and scan the prices. I've learned this a few times when they've been running late; I'll have a few games, scan them, come back to see the clearance people at the shelf, and then ask them to check if there are any drops on the games I had with me -- after a few rolled eyes (They really dislike me getting in the way of their flow) they scan them and I've had games drop after they do the scan.

I guess it could be YMMV but it's worth trying to figure out-- nothing worse than a wasted trip just because you were there before the drops got made. (When you know El Hoardo was lurking around the corner, waiting....)

Same stuff as last week. Why do the Wii games, that are not shovelware, take so long to drop? SW:TFU has dropped for every other system and is sold out at my Target, but not for the Wii!

This is the case for my Target.
OK, absolutely nothing. Seriously. What a fail-train.
Seriously. Although at Largo Target it looks like they found some old 3rd party composite cables. Quite a few for PS3, and a handful for PS2/Xbox. $15.04 at 30% off I think.
Any new drops for this week?, I don't see new drops... I want to save some gas..... around my area, almost everything is clean....

Went to two Targets in Louisiana today, Baton Rouge and Metairie. Nothing at either except Singstar Queen in Baton Rouge.

Went to 2 Targets today, both had almost nothing. The only clearance games they had were Transformers and Ghostbusters for the PC, both 75% off. ONLY things on video game clearance at either.

Man, I'd been checking my Target every week waiting for RE5 to go down from $19.9x to $9.9x. At first there were 10 copies, then 8, then 5, then last week 2...this week they're all gone, and no idea if they even dropped or if there were just two last people who thought $19 was a good price.

Might swing by today if I have time.

im gonna run down to target at around noon see if i see anything good

Not shit today, Dark Void & Brutal Legend for $42 (x360)

Saw a dozen Brutal Legends :360: for 29.98, other than that (well, including that) sleepy time in Targetland. Maybe next week.
What did I tell you???
Not shit today, Dark Void & Brutal Legend for $42 (x360)
Hope you didn't buy it.... Dark Void MSRP is now $39.99, and Amazon has the :360: version for $25. Brutal Legend MSRP is $19.99 now.
What did I tell you???
I don't know, but I suspect it would've taken you less time to just tell us again than it did to make that post.

Went to the Jersey City Target another member posted and I found the Lego Rock Band priced at $25 but scanned at $12.$$? I also picked up Smash Hits. I didn't need it cause I have the songs imported after someone gave me the import code but for $5 (after coupon) I couldn't resist. More achievements for muah :D
One of my local Targets has a pile of them (Wired X360 controllers) for 19.98. If they manage to drop to 9.98 I would probably pick one up for a backup.
Ditto, one of my targets easily has 30+ of these things... I'm not even joking. Been sitting at 19.98 for ~2 months.
Good to know bigdaddybruce. I don't know about you, but the Targets here suck at deals lol. The one in Edgewater has the $20 wired Xbox 360 controllers though. I am going to try the North Bergen one as it is closer, if I don't have any luck I'll head on over to JC thanks!
Glad you found a copy of LEGO Rock Band. I was tempted to buy them all at that price, but was able to control myself. Glad a CAG found one. And yes, the Targets in this area of Jersey are all awful when it comes to clearance. I never, ever find anything decent. Once, I got a copy of an NHL game for like $5 at the Linden store. The Jersey City store usually has some decent stuff in their clearance section, but it's never at the really low prices. I'm going to have make a habit of scanning them now, though, considering what happened with LRB.

Thanks for pointing out the $20 controllers at the Bridgewater store. If they ever drop further, I'll be there.

I found some okay stuff today. I picked Batman Arkam Asylum PC for $12.48, Street Fighter 4 PC for $2.54, and Chaotic 360 for $3.74. Not sure if I will keep SF4 and Chaotic or not but at those prices I had to buy them.

Yea I was sitting on them too, then last week I went to check on them and they rang out of the system. I brought it to the clerk to try and get it for last listed price...it was $24.98 so I past. Went to target 3 days later and the 10 or so that were there were gone. I doubt they dropped lower at my store in NJ.
