Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Actually no, since I left plenty for other people to get. Plus since Wii Points are like gift cards and can be used to buy plenty of different games, rather than grabbing multiple copies of the same game how exactly am I hording.

If it weren't for the fact that I want to spread out my actual downloads, I would have easily used 3/4 of the points Sunday. Those 1000 point Wiiware games add up quickly.
Eh, don't let it get to you. I don't see anything wrong with stocking up on points either.

Different matter entirely in comparison to actual games or hardware, IMO.
The big PB eggs (like, the size of a normal Reeses Cup) where I work are 50% off. I bought 2 6-packs, they are $1.74 each right now.
Excellent news, looks like I have to head out tonight after all.

Thanks for the heads up.

Nice to see another Huntsville CAG :) I'm closer to the one on University - didn't make it there today, but I'll check tomorrow. I was there on Friday and there wasn't really much there. Some nice 7" & 9" LCDs were on clearance, but still above $100.

Have you noticed if NGS2 is on clearance at the south target? It was still $60 at Univ. the other day...
Absolutely no reason to not grab it at $10.

It gets repetitive, but if you're into the whole free roam city soaring a la Spiderman games, and over the top destruction a la Hulk games it won't disappoint.

Plus you're essentially Carnage without the trademarked name. Who wouldn't enjoy being Carnage?
ok thanks man...I love sandbox games ...I have all the spiderman games....

since you said I can play as carnage...im sold...

gonna go back and get it...hopefully

it was the last one :p

I think it's still $60. The store in Jones Valley really hasn't marked a lot down in the past few months. The University Drive store has a lot more merchandise but it seems like it takes forever to get to that side of town. Even thought it's like 15 minutes tops. :)

Target at MB is clearancing their display tvs. Nothing worthwhile IMO but saw a few suckers walking out with some.

I was hoping on picking up a 2nd harmony 610 remote; I was really hoping it dropped lower but it was gone along witht the 620.

Culver city target was depleted of wii points from Saturday to today. There were only two left so I picked those up, too. I also bought some Easter candy at 50% off

also idk if anyone is into the ps3 back ups yet or if it's even possible but saw a blu ray-recordable disc on clearance for $9.98

eventually these will become more common...just was shocked they already sold um...im a little late i guess

Harmony 720 remote for ~$37. Holla.

Does anyone have an opinion on this thing? It's supposed to be an IR->RF receiver. The idea is that you can hide your components with it, because it transmits the IR signal from your remote via its RF receivers, thereby allowing you to send signals "through" doors/enclosures/etc. So you can have a cleaner entertainment center, or hide stuff from little kids, etc.

It's on clearance at for about $13 or so, and the reviews I'm seeing appear to be good. Just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience.

Picked up:
Dark Void (360) -14.98
Prototype (ps3)- 9.98
NHL 2k10 (Wii)- 9.98
Call of Duty: WaW (Wii)- 9.98

and of course some Cadbury Eggs! Pretty good haul today

Prototype for PS3 was still $29.99 at my target, I would have easily bought it for $9.99.

I did buy WII Cheer 2 for $9.99, got the last copy.

Not much at my Monroe, LA Target, but I did score a 500gb Western Digital HD for $34.96 and a scosche brand ipod fm modulator for $15.

Nice. I've been looking for something like this since my center channel speaker blocks the TV's ir reciever. If I find it clearanced I'll check it out.

Oh and I've had a 720 for over a year now (got it for $50 at Target) and love it.

The whole clearance section was untouched in College Pt. NY. I think because of the Easter holiday nobody did anything in that area today. Will check later in the week.

Ugh, I can't stand the FM transmitters for music devices. It's always garbled and cutting in and out every three seconds. I actually prefer silence to using one. Heh.
I only saw a couple bags of Easter candy at 30% off. Other Easter stuff was 50%.
Did pick up some AAA batteries at 75% off ($2.50 for 16).

No video game drops that I saw.
At the target in Mays Landing, NJ I saw about 35 of those Duracell battery packs on clearance and most of them had $1 off coupons on them. They let me use the coupon at the register, can't beat 16 batteries for $1.48.
Beatles Rock Band for the 360 was $27.xx

Has anyone else seen Beatles Rock Band (game only) for the 360 on clearance at their local Targets too?
Just saw Lego Indian Jones :360: and Sega Superstars Tennis :360: for 4.98.
Damn, where? I would have picked them up at that price; I have young cousins who love those type of games :)

nothing good at mine! if someone can scoop me up Dark void (360) - $14.98 or prototype, i'll trade for brutal legend! pm me or see me in the trade thread!
Harmony 720 remote for ~$37. Holla.

Yes, it's going to 75% off. Now I just have to wait a bit.

Only drop I saw today was:

:360: Tiger Woods 10 for $14.98

I wonder if my brother is going to catch on that he keeps getting new Tiger Woods games for his B-day since they clearance them out the same time each year.
Kind of hard to call someone out on the "hoarding" of points. I know if I saw MS points at half-off or more, I'd buy a whole slew of them, too, because I'd be set for a long time. It's not like a game where if I buy a dozen copies, I'm obviously, without-a-doubt reselling them.
'zacktly.

I found Wii points cards a couple weeks ago at $13.xx and bought all five of them. Within a couple hours, all five were safely redeemed in my Wii, waiting for the spending. I could probably blow through them all now if I wanted to as there is still tons of stuff on the Virtual Console that I'd like to get.

EDIT - Found Fable 2, Platinum hits for $10 today along with PSP Final Fantasy for $7.xx. Two decent scores. I just wish I didn't already have a sealed vanilla copy of Fable 2 sitting here. Off to trading heaven it will go I suppose.

Saw the following today at various Targets:

:360:Beatles RB software only - $27.xx
:360:Dark Void - $14.xx
:ps3:Resident Evil 5 - $20.98

Man, wish I could find a Fable II Platinum Hits in my area. My store only has the regular version -- they never stocked the PH.

If anyone finds an extra one, CML or shoot me a PM and we can work something out.
Anybody seen Brutal Legend :360: for less than $14.xx? I was about to pick it up but then I thought maybe it'd last past it's current 75% off.
They dropped it to its new MSRP ($19.99) at my local Target. Maybe it will enter a clearance cycle at that price.

I got it at the EA store for $13.28 but I also purchased Dead Space and The Orange Box to use the $20 off $40 Code (thread in deal graveyard here). I believe the promo code expires on April 9th. Promo Code: PAXEAST842

But I have not seen it at retail stores for this price.

I picked up a Wii Speak for 20.98 since there was only 3 of them left. Didnt feel like waiting for another week for it to drop and that target store is a bit of a drive from my house as well as not seeing it on clearance at the other 4 targets here

Doesn't Endless Ocean 2 come with wii speak for only $30?

If you find a copy that's the bundle, yeah. Best Buy and Gamestop should carry 'em.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was $15 at my nearest Target... Also saw Prototype for PS3 at $10. Picked up Ninja Gaiden myself and almost bit on prototype, but I'd rather have it for the 360. Also saw some Rockband: Beatles.

These things are awesome, sometimes you get a VERY small delay, but I use to change the channel from my bedroom where I had a second TV output from my livingroom thru a hole in the wall into the bedroom. Mine is a RCA and both units plug in, this philips uses batteries, interesting :)

I'm so jealous right now :p Hopefully mine will get there soon.

I stopped by 2 SF Bay Area stores to try to find :360: Fable II for cheap, but I guess I missed that drop because I didn't see any around. Also, Easter candy was only 30% off:cry:

I did pick up:

207240269 :ps3: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 $14.98

:)

Wow; I haven't even seen Dark Void on clearance at any of the Targets that I frequent, but I went to a random one today and found a copy for $14.98! I had to bite
I saw 2 Westinghouse 20" LCD monitors for 75% off - I think they were $50...
Nice; I probably would've got one, even though it's a Westinghouse. I've been trying to find a nice LCD monitor for under $80.

Gonna stop by tomorrow to check for some new drops.

Would love some cheap RE5, NGSigma2, and Prototype for PS3.
will report back tomorrow morning.

I found and bought de Blob and The darkness(360). They were priced at $4.98 each. I had bought de Blob a long time ago and when I saw it at such a low price, I just had to give it a good home. The Darkness was a cheap pick up. I played the demo and never really dug it but I figure it was cheap enough to give it another try.

Now for the weird part of my trip. I went to two different locations today. Both stores had tags for a bunch of clearanced games, like IL 2-Sturmovik and Prototype at 7.48 and 9.98. There was also a tag for COD MW2: CE for 19.98. However, the games weren't in stock, had not been in stock for at least the last few months I've been searching for them and there were never any tags for those games. I talked with the workers and asked them to check if they were in their stock. Neither store had the games.

In talking with the workers, they told me the tags on those games had just been put out today.

Has anyone else seen situations where NCF tags are put out on games that are not in stock? Does this mean those games may show up at these stores?

I've never seen this before and I'm wondering if I'll have a chance to get those games.

This happened to me last week. They were completely redoing the shelves and pasted a bunch of price tags in empty slots. A couple of them were NCF. I had the employee scan the tags and showed zero inventory. I believed him because I hadn't seen those NCF titles at that location for a long time.

When I went back after two days, the shelves were full and the price tags were changed to other in stock titles.

That sounds just like my scenario. Both stores were just converted to the new display format, probably during yesterday's closure.

does anybody know if video game accessories mark downs take place on different days then Mondays....I believe someone reported they happen on Thursdays but im not sure

Not all stores follow the Monday rule I have found that all the stores in my area do there markdowns on Tuesday, I'll be making the rounds in a few hours I'll post anything new only thing I found last week was the Xbox Memory cards marked down further to 14.xx Maybe if they goto 5$ ill pick one up just for worms hope this helps happy hunting

Ugh, while on vacation in Atlanta, visited 4 Targets. Video Game clearance was terrible. Still can't believe how many stores have the "Clearance" tag up where the wired controllers were located.

At my closest stores, they kept up the NCF $9.98 placard for the original Uncharted for PS3 for about 6 months after they sold out. It taunted me every time I went in there till I bought a used copy for $20 from a local shop.
