Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in yellow are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

My PS2/value game aisle disappeared along with numerous PS2 stuff that only got to 30% off. The only thing I think I missed out on was PS2 Motorstorm which may well be better on PSP anyways.

No clearance on PS2 systems yet but they only have (I think) two of them so I doubt they'll last past 30%. I'll probably grab one at $70 as a backup.

Target near work is clearancing the hell out of PSP/PS2 accessories, we're talking $5 complete travel kits and $6 official dual shock 2 controllers. Game selection, however, was weak.

On a side note, I talked to the guy working, and he said that according to his Sony rep, they will be phasing out all disc-based PSPs and going strictly with the Go and digital media. It's not totally out of the question I guess (I did get my PSP on clearance), but has anyone else heard this? If true, could mean some great prices over the coming months.

I'd be more inclined to believe that they'll be phasing out all the PSP stuff. Some upcoming PSP games won't have digital versions thanks to a new anti-piracy measure that does some check with the UMD. I know that the upcoming Kingdom Hearts game uses it. I wonder if the inclusion of the PSP 3000 in the two Metal Gear bundles means that it is too.

Well, to be fair, that anti-piracy measure is just software. They could easily modify it, replace it, or remove it to make a digital version. If they feel that a digital version would be profitable enough, they'll do so. On the other hand, from everything I've heard it doesn't sound like the PSP Go has been selling very well -- they might not consider it worth the effort and whatever additional risk of piracy it would create.
I wonder if the inclusion of the PSP 3000 in the two Metal Gear bundles means that it is too.
For that matter, just the existence of the Metal Gear bundles with the PSP 3000 are a pretty clear indication that Sony has no intent of dropping UMD-based PSPs or UMDs anytime soon. They wouldn't put out new bundles if they did. If Sony really wanted to push the PSP Go as their exclusive direction, then it would be a PSP Go bundle.

That being said, yeah, it wouldn't surprise me at all if Target decided to phase out the PSP. At least at the stores around here, their PSP section has always been pretty pathetic, and they've done nothing to push it. It has seemed like their PSP selection, which was never that great to begin with, has been dwindling of late. Therefore, I can't imagine that the PSP does great business for them.

Maybe Sony is going to use Target to attempt to stage one more push for the PSP Go? If Target is planning to get out of the PSP business anyway, they might as well. If nothing else, the Go requires considerably less shelf space, since they don't need to display all of those UMDs. For the same reason, though, it's easily missed -- that big shelf of UMDs is a lot more eye-catching than a few PSP Go boxes down in the corner of the case would be.

Bought a PS2 Dualshock 2 controller for $12.xx. Will probably do a return/rebuy if the price drops later this week. I really want to get at least one when it drops to $6.xx.

The two targets on my way home from work were weak. No ps3 clearance games outside of the RB/GH bundles. I picked up the psyclone touchcharge kit for $12.48 and two lexar 4gig memory sticks (psp/sony cameras) for $7.48 each. i really have no need for the memory sticks, but they seemed to be a good price.
Nothing in the downtown Sacramento Target as far as games. Mostly PS2 crap.

However, I did pick up a 4GB Transcend USB Flash Drive for $5.74 - DCPI was 056060969

There were about 10 of the USB drives in stock, however the one I got was the only one with the properly marked price. The others were marked at $15 something - but all had the same DCPI number.
Where is the downtown Sacramento target? The only one I've gone to is the one by Arden Fair. I have a college buddy I might make pick up some of these drives for me (I went to Sac State, go Hornets!)
Was the RB1 drumst for the 360? If so is it wireless by chance?
No this is the wired one.. the same one that was on sale at Walmart a few months ago for 10 bucks.
Yes it was for xbox and I am not sure. I gave it to my girlfriend right after, I haven't checked.
the RB1 sets are not wireless. they are also loud and unresponsive as hell compared to the RB2 drums. any extra money you might spend is well worth it

Do you have to purchase the batteries at the same time as the charger? If these are considered hybrid, maybe this is a better deal:

http://dealnews.com/Rayovac-AAA-15-...tery-12-pk-for-11-1-cent-shipping/358810.html

Deal runs out 9pm tonite
I saw one of these and picked it up. The rebate is good until 6/??/10 but if you read the fine print, you have to buy both the recharger and a set of Hybrid batteries so the rebate will not work with just the charger and the 2 batteries. You still have to fork over cash for a pack of batteries. They did have some hybrid battery 4 packs on clearance a few weeks ago for $7.48 but I was holding out until they got down to $5.24. They did get to that price but there were none left in any of the stores I frequent so I was SOL.

Debating whether to keep the charger and 2 batteries for $5.24 or just return it.....
Was able to get the last Harmony 620 for $25 and a copy of Lego Indy for PS2 for my daughters for $10 at the 28th Street Target in Grand Rapids.
Thanks for the heads up!
Now if I could just find a $20 Rock Band: Beatles...

Oh, forgot to mention:

A bunch of $5 wireless PS2 controllers at my local Target. They're the shitty ones that take 3 AAA batteries, but could be well worth it for those looking for a cheap option.

Also, GH3 guitar for the PS3 at 75% off along with a stack of some real Fender acoustic guitars for ~$3X.XX.

This was in Orange County.
Do you have to purchase the batteries at the same time as the charger? If these are considered hybrid, maybe this is a better deal:

http://dealnews.com/Rayovac-AAA-15-...tery-12-pk-for-11-1-cent-shipping/358810.html

Deal runs out 9pm tonite
The 15 minute batteries aren't hybrid but that's a VERY good deal for that many of them. You need a rayovac 15 minute charger, though. I'm tempted although I don't really need AAAs...

I've been using the Rayovac 15 minutes for years and have been very happy with their overall performance. It sort of negates the need for hybrid batteries when you can recharge them so fast.

I hit up Target on Saturday and there wasn't much to be found. I might snag Saints Row for $13.xx next time I go or hope for a drop as they had quite a few copies.

I did find my dad a 19" Acer monitor, though for $54.xx. Before anyone runs out, I'm almost positive it was a one-shot thing as the case was ripped like it was a return or attempted theft.

I think there was a 19.5" Acer that hit clearance but was hard to find. If you got it at the Selinsgrove Target, that place is a gold mine for most clearance items.

Only clearance at the target by me is 360 rock band beatles for $27 and the wired rock band controller/mic for $8

saw a bunch of brutal legend and beatles RB 360, i did find a cheap HP printer 12.xx (hp deskjet d2600), and a belkin HDMI kit 20.xx(2 6ft hdmi cables, and a mini display cleaner)

ps - im having trouble installing this HP printer, the reviews arent that great, might take it back
the RB1 sets are not wireless. they are also loud and unresponsive as hell compared to the RB2 drums. any extra money you might spend is well worth it
Might want to check your local Gamestop stores if you get the Wired drums. I was able to get a set of pad covers to quiet the drums for $3 at Gamestop. They fit right over the drums without using glue or anything, and each pad is color coded.

Saw a bunch of :ps2: games on clearance like Lego Batman, God of War II, etc. for $14.xx. Passed because I have a big enough backlog for this generation to be adding to the ridiculous one from last generation. Also saw :psp: MX vs ATV for $3.xx, but I rarely play the four psp games I already have.

Picked up a Sony 1GB Digital Voice recorder for use at the office for $19.98.

Found some Monster Component Cables for PS3 (But they work for the Ps2). Also Component Cables for the PSP. Each were $5.37. Saw the Beatles 360 for $27 didnt bite.

The PS3 cables work great. I hooked them up to the PS2 had to fiddle with the settings to get them to work but once I did I played a little FREQUENCY and it looked good. I think I might finally finish Shadow of the Colossus now.

i went to check for a hard drive and any games at the Springfield Il store, was with my roommate and we where doing the Steve Irwin, aw crickey where hot on the trail of the elusive el hodo, this is its natural habitat let's look for signs shall we? whats this mate...look its the rare and endangered female el hordo often not found far from her young and mini van...

they had all the flash drives and even 12 500 GIG hard drives all where ringing at regular price, also no games....well one copy of Dark Void for 14.XX for the 360
Has anyone found the Canon 780IS on clearance lower than $199.98? I have been keeping my eye on one at my local Target for 3 weeks and it still hasn't dropped.
Has anyone seen a price on this camera lately? I haven't been to my Target in a while and was just curious how low people are seeing it go.

I saw: Beatles Rock Band, Guitar Hero 5, and Guitar Hero Van Halen all for 360. They were all still too high, around $4x.xx. I would definitely consider getting Van Halen when it drops below $20. I would sell my promotion copy to make up some of the cost..I cant STAND not having a case and no Im not gonna make my own assy one LOL

Northgate Seattle Target had like 5 copies of Fable II (with DLC) for $20.98. We had recently just gotten those in, and it was like a week before it hit clearance.

Also had GH5 game for $35

Which one had the guitars?

I want one of those Fender acoustic too. But they're still $1xx.xx at my target. I hope it will still be around when it hits $3x.xx >.< From what I read it has a Spruce top ( I wonder if it's solid, probably not). Heck I will even buy this around $50-$70 without hesitation.

Went to one of my local stores yesterday (Matteson, IL). They were in the middle of updating the game section with the new cases which totally blow. Do. Not. Want.

The only thing that caught my eye were Rockband 2 microphones for $7.48. Looked like they put all their PS2 games at the endcaps, but I couldn't tell you what they had.
Just got my Logitech Harmony 720 set up and its nice. Way worth the ~$41 after tax. Thanks for the heads up on that deal folks.
I found the 610 as did someone else for about $18. So, I must have missed that someone found the 720 on clearance.

The Target clearance Rack isn't what it use to be. I have noticed ever since Mid December of 09 its been nothing but crap for my local Target here in Whittier. I did pick up Tetris Evolution for $13.00. The only other things that where there was an overpriced (despite being marked off) HP Printer and Resident Evil 5.
Wii speak at my store for $14.xx, I really hope to see it at $7 next week, then I'll probably buy one.
There's a few around here for $7, so if you miss out, let me know.

Didn't really see much in the way of games but they did have several GPS units on clearance. Some were marked down as much as 50%. Also it looks like the stores near me received the electronics dept "reboot" where the glass cases were removed and now they're all in plastic security cases tethered to the racks.

Saw a pair of psyclone touchchargers - one for the Wii and one PS3. Was gonna get both and then I saw that you can mix and match controllers on the pads so I got the PS3 one for 12.50 as opposed to the Wii one for 15. Now I just need batteries to use with it for the Wii and 360.

Wonder if that would be as much as just getting the Wii kit?
Also anyone have these and are they any good or are there any issues with them?

yea i miss the good ol days of Target clearance....great games and trade fodder for under 10 dollars at points...now it literally is all overpriced shit

I highly, highly recommend never buying an instrument at a department store, even if it says "Fender" on it.

I guess I am not the only CAG who frequents this store.

Seconded. I don't know what specific guitar this is but it was probably made in China/Korea/Mexico - where ever Fender makes their Squier and other cheap ass models. Its worth the money to just get a basic guitar model if you're serious about playing.

saw a bunch of ps2 games mostly star trek, bigs 2, and can't remember the rest. Saw one copy of :360: the club 9.98, Tetris 12.98 and ps2 and ps3 monster component cables 10.98 and ps2/xbox composite cable 10.98. I picked up the ps2/xbox composite.

oh yes ps2 dual shock 9.98 and the wireless one for 12.98.
