Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

You really don't get it? A while back someone reposted onto sd from cag that cursed mountain limited edition was 5.66. Some douche on sd posted he bought it and didn't even have a wii. This site is for gamers. Sd has way more people there that will buy stuff, reducing our ability to get it.

and buy stuff in mass quantity that they don't need those forcing items to sell out 100x faster and exposing glitches/sell prices early which allows stores to cancel all orders. Everyone loses out when SD is involved.

I've been waiting for some stuff to drop some more. Obviously those games will never make those prices now.
I had no idea CAGs hoarded deals like this. I thought this place was all about sharing the deals :)
Grabbed Dawn of War II for $7.48 after seeing it last night and trying the demo on Steam.

Saw NG: Sigma 2 for $34.98, hoping it drops in a couple of weeks. Also saw the :360: Borderlands add-on disc for $10.98.

You STILL don't get it, do you?

Please re-read all of the responses to you. Target clearance deals are VERY hard to find, and you basically just made it 10x-100x harder.

The only good part is whenever the Target thread gets posted over there, it dies fast as the SD short attention span catches up with them-- when the majority of people can't find all the awesome deals listed, they lose interest. We can only hope it happens again.

Not a video games deal, but I found a 40" APEX LCD 1080P TV for 250 bucks today, 50% off. The guy said it was a black friday one they found a few of and were trying to get rid of. There were 3 and all disappeared while I was there. I of course bought one for the parents-in-law.

I think Ninja Dog is just being a douche bag, that's why he keeps posting the smiley faces. Why he did it, is most likely just to piss all of you off, which he succeeded at.

That said, if you are angry in real life about this, perhaps it is time to re-examine your life.

You guys, this isn't the first time I've seen Target clearance video games posted on SD. It happens from time to time but most of the time the threads lose interest super fast because eventually people realize YMMV so it gets ignored.

This guy isn't destroying Target video game clearance, but sharing with Slickdeals isn't a great idea. Once it gains traction on SD, its as good as dead, which Target video games clearance could be if SD created their own thread like this that people actually contributed to.

Keep it on CAG when it comes to video games.

this is the second thread i saw today with ninja dog causing a problems with other members. i think he's just a troll and you guys are feeding him.

Wolfenstein for the PC, $9.99.

There were 2 copies. I bought one, there's 1 left. They've been there for a couple weeks that I've seen, but this is the first time I've seen them for $9.99.

Location: Gilbert, Arizona
Cross Streets: Loop 202 & Gilbert Road

I don't think he cares about whether it's on SD or not. He's just being a douche for the sake of being a douche.

Which is why he is now on my ignore list.

Saw a lot of PS3 & PC games at one Target today. Most PS3 games were still 30% off, the PC prices were all over the place as far as the % cycle.

i think i once saw some sd guy on youtube who bought every single copy of metroid trilogy at like 2 different targets when it went on clearance, back in the day, to sell it for 3-4 times more than what he paid.....n e ways

I went to north hollywood, northridge, granada hills, los angeles, and santa clarita (i have family, friends and business there so no I am not crazy) targets and all had the some games on clearance:

tekken 6(ps3) : 20.xx
borderlands(ps3): 20.xx
borderlands dlc(xbox 360): 10.xx
sh1t load of some dirt bike game(ps3): forgot price
street fighter 4 greatest hit(ps3): 20.xx
wwe (not sure which one,ps3): forgot price
ninja gaiden 2(ps3): 34.xx
lego rockband(ps3): forgot price
hawx(xbox 360): forgot price

and bunch of other 360 titles i forgot lol
I think i will give up looking for bayonetta......

commerce,ca had a few metro 2033 pc (12.xx) and bioshock2 pc (7.xx) and halo reach stuff on clearance
pico rivera,ca had wolfenstein pc (9.xx) and dawn of war2 pc (7.xx)
That's not funny man, talk like that can start nightmares.
True. True. I apologize. I just started having visions of finding hordes of guys around the Target clearance sections with shirts that read "I'm a slickdealer!"

I don't know... FatWallet has had a running Target Clearance deal thread FOREVER... and I have little problem getting anything I want form Target clearance...

Waiting for the Halo shirts to drop to 50% to buy a couple... If they hit 75% after that, it'll just be gravy. I want a couple of those shirts to put away. I have a stack of old concert/game/sports tees that have never been worn. One day, my son is going to have a cool selection of retro shirts to wear :)

I'm not taking sides, but this is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. Granted SD is WAY, WAY worse, but CAG has it's fair share of 'flippers' that aren't shy about it. Hell I bet there are a dozen in this thread alone, let alone the rest of CAG.
Where did all the Legendary editions go? The endcap with tons of shirts and Legenday copies went poof.
Alot of them just went into the back. DCPI = 207-22-0399 (or 0499 as I'm starting to second guess my memory) Use this to check the price and/or if they have any in the stockroom.

:360:The Saboteur - 13.XX
:360:Tom Clancy's HAWX - forgot price
:360:Where the Wild Things Are - didn't care to look
:360:Borderlands expansion pack - 10.XX
:360:Brutal Legend - 13.XX

:ps3:Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood - 9.XX

:pc:Borderlands - 4.98
:pc:Wolfenstein - 9.XX
Where did all the Legendary editions go? The endcap with tons of shirts and Legenday copies went poof.
In one Target I couldn't find the stuff at all. I know nobody bought the last Legendary Halo, no all the shirts and stuff. I checked all over the store and couldn't find them.

At another Target (that has less clearance no less), I found it on an endcap near the pharmaceuticals with a few other electronic stuff. There was no legendary's, but tons of the shirts and things...they were still priced too high though.

I'm not shy about it at all lol I'm a flipper but not a hoarder. If I want to buy the same game to profit (actually haven't made any yet) I'll make sure there are mass amount of copies and I'd buy a couple, 2 to 3 depending on how much there is. If there's not a lot I'll just go to another store and take 1 only.

real quick, can anyone tell me the contents of that Borderlands DLC 2-Pack? is there a disc or just redeemable cards in there? the shake test doesn't help me out. I bought it this morning, but already have the DLC thru XBL and am debating keeping it, just figured it'd look nice on the shelf..

I saw a bunch of the Halo Reach shirts on Clearance at the Target in Hoffman Estates, IL on 59/72. They were closer to 50% off but not full price either. Wasn't interested so I didn't look too closely. They were with the random cell phone cases, and not with the other game clearance stuff.

Found DJ Hero for $29! As somebody posted before it was the price for all platforms but it DID say it was a temporary price cut. YMMV, at my local Target it was still 69.99, but at the one a little ways away (Dover, DE) they had it at that price.

INo one visits the clearance in our town. I'm not afraid to flip at all. I've done it a few times. Anyway, I saw Zoo Tycoon 2 for $4.xx and a bunch of 360 and PS3 games but nothing good enough to warrant a purchase.

If it's a disc, keep it.

If it's a code, sell the code and keep the case.

Anyways, I spotted Kane and Lynch 2 for $25 and Alpha Protocol for $25 tonight. Hopefully they will drop tomorrow!

It's on disc. Installs to hard drive and you'll never need the disc again unless you need to reinstall.

I just went through my target electronics clearance endcaps...

Borderlands PC 4.98
Bioshock 2 PC 7.50
Dawn of war 2 7.50
Bioshock PC GOTY Holo box 4.98
Bioshock/oblivion double pack 4.98
Aliens Vs Predator PC 7.98

Call of juarez PS3 9.50

Zelda Phantom hourglass 8.74

And many others but I couldnt remember them all. Halo reach tshirts were 6.78 or so.

Cherry Hill, NJ:

Red Faction: Guerrilla (PC): $4.98
Dawn of War II (PC): $7.48
Prototype (PC): $7.48
Wolfenstein (PC): $9.98
Burnout Paradise (Xbox 360): $9.98
Metro 2033 (PC): $12.48
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (PS3): $34.98 (one left)

Haier 7" portable TV: $32.48
4-pack of stoneware plates: $4.98

The Targus Defcon CL notebook locks are also on clearance for $7.48, however most online reviews suggest that, at best, they're garbage.
Found Dawn of War II (PC): $7.48, and Bioshock/Oblivion (PC) $4.98.

Debating if I wanna keep Dawn of War 2 though.
If you already own and enjoy SC2, then there's no real need for DoW2. Return it and save that $7.48. :)
I saw Buzz Quiz World (the bundle with buzzers) on clearance for 30. If it drops to 15 tomorrow, I'll probably buy it.
If you can get it for 15 that would be awesome. I bought it for 30 at Fry's.

In other words, clearance was ok today. Avatar (PS3) and Band Hero (PS3, game only) are gonna hit the cycle , and so will Silent Hill Shattered Memories, Super Monkey Ball (both Wii) and a lot more PC shovelware. Electronic wise there were a healthy amount Jensen/Memorex iPod radio docks that will go out tomorrow.

Over the past week, I've picked up...

Bayonetta (ps3) 14.98
Dark Void (xbox) 4.98
Dante's Inferno (xbox) 19.98
Left 4 Dead (xbox) 9.98

lego rock band for the ps3 was $13.94 at a target in fullerton, ca.

i picked up two, both for friends. they're big rock band nuts so i figure i'd add to their massive song lists (and one's a fan of blink-182 so he'd like "aliens exist" alongside the other blink-182 songs).
Found Dawn of War II (PC): $7.48, and Bioshock/Oblivion (PC) $4.98.

Yeah, I got Dawn of War 2 as well, but then I found out about the gold edition (which includes the expansion), so I'm thinking about returning the original and waiting for a good deal on the gold version.

Just keep the regular version and wait for Chaos Rising to hit clearance. It won't take that long, and it's already down to $19.99 as it is.
