Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Well my Target was a bust, no clearance games period, hell they didn't even have any copies of Alan Wake stocked  (not talking about sold out, I didn't even see a spot reserved for it), had non GOTY Batman AA for $50 too boot

Went to a target tonight and I saw something really odd in Electronics.

A bunch aof different products had, what I could only describe as little red flags stuck on. The flags looked like mini post-its sliced into strips. It was on a bunch of random stuff like wireless keyboard, wireless mice, ink, and certain video games.

The flag was only placed on the outward facing product. Any stock behind the front item didn't have the flag. I've never seen this before.

I was in a hurry so I couldn't make a note off all the items.

Does anyone know if this means those items are going on clearance?
Pleasantly surprised this morning when I went to the busy Target around me... Picked up 2 inductive Psyclone PS3 controller chargers for $12.48 each (75% off).

They include the base and 2 PS3 charging adapters... Seem pretty nice. I just figured I'd grab both and try to find some 360 adapters for cheap somewhere. Anyone have any experience with these?
I bought one of them a few weeks ago at the same price. I think they're one of the best things I've picked up at Target in the past few months. Don't have to use the power save option for the controllers any more, which is especially annoying when it cuts off your microphone in the middle of a Rock Band set list.

I'm going to be driving south today from Vancouver, WA down to the Woodburn outlet mall in Oregon. Will be passing by a few targets along I-5. Can anyone recommend any for PS2 or DS clearence? What an odd and specific request.

I am sad to say that the current Target clearance has been pretty stale, I haven't purchased a game at Target for almost 2 months. But where Target has been lacking in prices and selection; GS has been reaping from my business, lately.

Scored one of the 21.5-inch Acer monitors today and I LOVE it! :D

It was a store-display model so I got 10% off of the already-amazing 39.98 price, PLUS the woman gave me an additional 10% off b/c she couldn't find the instruction manual!

It was only $35.18 including tax. :D

Means they just had inventory. The company I work for most have been in the night before to do it. If you notice they were probably always at a shelf break. They shouldn't have been placing them on the product though, only on the shelf.

They were either red or green, about an inch long, half an inch wide.. right?

Nah I'm pretty sure Shrek would have a bigger dong than that... Wouldn't ya think?

That's right!

But whoever did it placed them on the actual product.

Pick up Guitar Hero Rock the 80s and Lego Star Wars the Original Trilogy, both for PS2 for $5 a piece. For that price, figured why not. But there really wasn't anything other than random PS2 things.

However noticed that the Target had switched to the new casings. The things that really annoys me now is that since clearance is in the main aisles, they list the prices and now it makes me wish I had seen a ton of those games when they had reached 75% off, lol!

If today's price change was an indicator of things to come, it's going to continue to suck. All I had electronics wise were some Kodak camera cases.

Recently, the stores around my area changed to the new game sections. Clearance deals seem to have dried up. They actually marked the prices higher on several items I saw a couple weeks ago (pre-switch) and the items that are showing are just the ones they already had.

Perhaps they realized the clearance policy was a money leak and plugged it. So much for that golden goose...

Still a clearance section even after the revamp for me, hidden from view. Got Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection for $10.

My Target is a bunch of crap electronics + accessories then a small stack of PS2 games. I'm sure that PS3/360/Wii games will make their way to clearance again but how long will that take? Six months? A year? I'm only going to be checking Target clearance when I'm there for something else. I won't be making a special trip out there for a while just to check out the electronics.

Electronics section in my store was recently revamped. There is still a clearance section but i hadnt seen any games in it til yesterday when i came across Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core for PSP. It was only $4.98 and had gone straight to 75% off. So i'm assuming they found it hidden somewhere while renovating the old game cases.

A little nugget from a manager.

Clearance prices are a result of needing to make room for new products. The new Target games section increases their inventory space. More space = less markdowns, because there is more space to hold more products.

Some clearance games were even marked back up when the new section came in (see: Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, $9.99 back up to $29.99).

They will still run out of room eventually. At worse it means the games won't start being clearanced out so soon after they come out. Heck, may even work out better for us, more time for normal price drops to happen before clearance :D

the question is why would they jump back up in price????
Because they gained a shitload of space.
i agree with the all free space they've gained but, i still find it hard to believe 007 QoS is worth $29.99, if it didnt sell at $7.xx.....what makes them think it will sell at 29.99...u know???

I'm curious now much more inventory space. The Targets near me with the new layouts no longer have a Platinum/Greatest Hits/Under $20 aisle, so it always seemed like it was a similar number of games, just arranged differently. I'll have to do a count next time to compare old vs. new.

Clearance section still exists at the Layton Ut store though it was much smaller today than last week. I would say there were probablly 40-50 games on clearance last week and this week there were less than 10 and I can pretty much guarantee nobody bought those crappy games that were there last week. The only thing I found worthwhile today was a copy of Mad dog McCree for Wii for $4.98 that was still marked $10.

Saw a GH:Van Halen today that dropped to $7.48... The only game since Tony hawk Proving Ground that I've seen drop below 75%... I did not buy it. I'm done with music games and it only gets $10 at Best Buy...

Go back and find the electronics person in duty. Ask him/her to look up the last known price. Then offer to buy it at that price if it's good enough for you.

Went to a target by my work and they had a lot of clearance.

Picked up:
mx vs atv reflex psp for 3.xx
Mlb the show 10 ps2 for 7.xx
Ncaa football 10 psp for 7.xx
And my favorite: bayonetta ps3 for 14.xx

Saw some ds stuff too but had to make it back before my lunch break ended

Roughly 140 copies of Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass dropped to $7.48 at my local Target... we'll see how long they last.. (That's a serious count, one entire clearance shelf is FULL of them.. like 6 rows of 24)

Lots of random stuff seems to keep popping out at my local Targets since the Electronics revamp, sadly nothing particularly exciting. I did find a 40-pack of white security envelopes for 24 cents...
^^ Did those LoZ:pH suddenly show up? I don't remember seeing these at my Targets for awhile.
There were a few copies that appeared about a month ago after this store changed to the plastic prison layout, and then last week the floodgates opened and they all appeared (must have gotten a shipment from another store, OR they WAY over-ordered and found a massive stock in the back). I swear even more appeared this week but I know they had a ton last week at $14...

find someone with a hand held scanner and they will tell u that last known price in there system

I picked up a PS3 Band Hero set today for $44.98. Nothing else though except a bunch of PS2 crap. The electronics section at both stores around here got the new reset or whatever you want to call it.

Where is your target located if you don't mind me asking...

My store only has the display for the 21.5in Acer monitor as well. I asked the ETL who works in that hard-lines 2 they said that we do not own them and they can't sell it to me. There is a price cut from September of last year on it.
Are those samsung bluray players?
Check amazon reviews first, they suck real bad.
Wen't back today. It's a Sony BDP-S360. Looks like it has some decent reviews on Amazon. It's currently almost the exact same price as Amazon, but if it gets to 50% it might be worth it for me. Although, I probably should just put the money towards a PS3 instead.

Also, they still haven't dropped the price of the iPhone battery. Been at 50% since they put them on clearance two months ago, and they still have a ton left. Everything around them has been dropping in price but them. Strange.

Woohoo THANK YOU everyone about the monitor! I got the acer 21.5 monitor for $39.99 + tax (didn't feel like haggling for a 10% floor display discount). The store rep didn't want to sell it to me but I asked for the manager who had no problem when I asked to buy it at the last price of $39.99 (thanks for all the tips here). Computer + 360 + PS3 all in one now (vga/dvi/hdmi hookups on back. Saaawheet for $40). THANKS!

It would be awesome to get that Acer screen for $40 but they ring up $159 at two Targets bear me, oh well. I did pick up today

Resistance Retribution psp for $9.98

And saw

GranTurismo psp $9.98 but passed.
FF dissidia still $20.98

One of my target has the Acer monitor on display, rings up 159.99 though. Last one, has been around there for the longest time with none of the new acer or anything for sale. I'd really like to score this but don't think the price is going to change especially when they don't have any of them in stock at all.

damn no games ... but i did picked up
usb hub w/ multi memory slot for my laptop 4.97
cheap verizon prepaid phone LG 5.72 ( wonder if i can you this phone with my current phone)

they did have barbie for ds 9.98

i picked up the Sony MDR-NC22 headphones at my local target for 25 bucks, it finally dropped, but im conflicted on whether to keep them or not. I dont think I need the noise cancelling function very much, Im trying to find out online if they are decent headphones worth having or not, anybody here have an experience with them? Im keeping them still sealed for now...
