Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

My (older) nephew was once being trailed in a store, and so he stopped, turned around and asked the guy, "Can I help with something?" "uhhh. no." "Then, I suggest you turn around and stop following me before you get what's coming to you." The guy promptly disappeared.

One time one of my friends was being followed and he turned around and said, "Since you're going to be following me around the store, can you do me a favor and hold these items while I browse?"
^^^ just do what i do . just ignored them and they are not even there. but shit when you need one to help get something for you they all disappear
Bingo!

The loss prevention guys aren't mind readers. So if they follow you but you aren't a thief, cut them some slack. They are doing their jobs. (Which, incidentally, helps us all since shoplifting only increases prices for the decent folk like us.) ;)
Stopped by the Target in South Brunswick, NJ today. They switched to what's being referred to as the "plastic prison". Didn't see a single clearance game. I was too lazy to check the store in Princeton, but I might swing by this weekend.
I was at the Princeton store today and you can save yourself the trip. The "plastic prison" is in full effect and the only clearance games I saw was 1 copy of Gran Tourismo Prologue for I think $20 and 3 copies of Brutal Legend for the PS3 for $13 and some change. It was the first time I've been to a Target in a while so I was shocked when I saw the clearance area was MIA.

If anyone's store has just switched over (or is in the process), ask them if they have any games on clearance. Because the installation of the prison is such a big undertaking, what little clearance we had here was moved to random, atypical locations, sometimes far away. I totally would have missed it at two stores if I hadn't inquired.

So, I'm in Pasadena for the summer. I'm in Target for some things for my room, and I wander over to electronics. The clearance rack is mostly empty and full of garbage like Spongebob, until I find...

Bioshock 2. Special Edition for the PC. $20.

Cardboard sleeve was beat to hell, but the actual box was still sealed and still in great shape (at least on the outside; haven't opened it yet because I can't run the game on my netbook). I have no idea if this is actually worth bragging about, but it felt like it was ;).

Little Rock, AR 2 copies of the force unleashed for 9.98 (I didn't buy one, my backlog is redonkulous and I can borrow it from my little bro anywho).

Saw GT5P and Transformers Revenge of the Fallen for the PS3. Both were 20.98.

I wasn't interested, but was interested in the Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 instead. Unfortunately it rang up for 49.99 contrary to what the OP says... damn it!

Grabbed a nice :360: Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood for $13.98. Last weekend I got Spyro for the same price, finally some nice clearance trends!

What system was this for?
Does yours have a MIDI out? Mine only had a MIDI IN on the drums... was hoping for MIDI In AND Out. Thanks in advance!
I don't even know what that means. Sorry about that!

Went to my local Target this weekend in Hillside, IL. Full plastic prison, no clearance items to be had. A couple of the rows didn't have price tags on the games and it took forever to get an employee to help check prices. There were no deals.

Granted I never bought a lot of games at Target and it looks like I won't be in the future.

Saw today:

:ps3: Brutal Legend $13.XX
:ps3: MLB 2010 $27.XX
:360: Spongebob $19.XX
:360: Tekken $27.XX
:360: Alone In The Dark $13.XX

And at another store:

:360: Brutal Legend $9.XX
:360: Call of Juarex $9.XX
:360: IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey $14.XX

And on Thursday at yet another store:

:psp: Dissidia Final Fantasy $7.XX
:psp: Ghostbusters $9.XX

Also saw a few Boost Mobile Motoral i296 phones for $12.XX

I found two Philips Bluray Home Theater Systems 75% off at $125. Anybody know the quality on these as there are no reviews on the net. They are:

HTS5100B

I'm on the fence on Philips products, although I already use a PS3 for BRs and was mainly looking for a HTS in another room, but a BR player for that room is a bonus.
First time I saw new drops in a bit.

Every Target I go to has at least 5 copies of MPT on the shelves. It's good to see it finally went on clearance.

Mine too. I've been waiting for that one, and it seems like each store had 2 or 3. Did no one ever buy it, or is that all they ever put on the shelf. It was very strange.

Target may have had a surplus of them because they do seem to have more on the shelves then any other retailer. After they get cleared out at Target it will just be KMart that has them with any quantity.

My store still has a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy, however it scanned at full price.

I've been hoping to find a copy of this game at a good price, has anyone else found it for that price at a Target? There are other stores in town I can check but I don't want to bother if it's only been discounted at one store.

SE Michigan

Can someone give the...whatever number it is for MPT that I type into the in-store scanners to check the price? Like XXX-XX-XXXX or something.

IDK, I wouldn't go crazy over $34.98 when some of us were lucky enough to get it at $20 or Sear's clearance..I don't see this jumping that high up in value anytime soon..

hahah, that stupid store is full of fail.

Satisfaction: Guaranteed. I bet you the dude stayed up all night thinking that up and then patted himself on the back for it.

Then, to top off one genius thought, he added "I should sell a used MPT for $499!!!!"

Real men of genuiiiiiis.

oh wait, he's got turning point fall of liberty pc for $30. I stand corrected.

Saw several new titles on clearance at Target. Off the top of my head:

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii) - $34.98
Halo Wars (360) - $13.98
MK vs. DC Universe (PS3) - $20.98
Tekken 5 (360) - $27.98

Hit three more Targets in the area, Metroid Prime Trilogy rang up at $50 at all of them unfortunately. Going to try one in Rock Hill tomorrow (this was in Charlotte.) Might have something to do with state lines?

Ran to a Target for another matter, checked my MPT - still $49.99. There's another one I'll try tomorrow.

The DCPI should be - off the top of my head - 207-26-0432. That 7 and 6 might need to be switched. I'm trying to recall this from two hours ago.

I think MLB 09 (PS3) was $27.98 at the stores I saw it at today.

Really hope it survives at least one drop (likely), I'd probably get it at 50% off.
I saw Call of Juarez ($9.99), Spongebob (19.99), and some weird plane game called IL Strumsomething..all for 360 at San Bruno, CA Target
Thanks for the heads-up, I've been looking for CoJ for a long time. Hopefully I can find Brutal Legend for under $10 also.

Ended up picking up Bayonetta (PS3) for 14.98. They had one left as of last night at the Medina, Ohio Target.

They also had a ton of Tekken VI 360- $27.98 and some other 360 games that I can't recall at the moment.

I picked up a couple of $15 PS3 Bayonetta's last night for birthday presents. Also saw

PS3

Lego Star Wars complete saga - 13.48 (I think)
GT Prologue - can't remember

Wii

Metroid Prime Trilogy - $34.98
some FIFA game
De Blob - $13.98
Mx Vs ATV - $4.98

360

Spongebob - $19.98
Call of Jaurez:BiB - $9.98
The Darkness - $4.98
The Club - $4.98
Tekken 6 - $27.98

This was in the Springfield, PA Target.

Saw a single copy of Call of Jaurez:BiB for $13.98 at the Target in Bowling Green, KY.

Played for about an hour last night and I must admit...

Wish I had my $13.98 back. :(

hahaha, that's classic. I picked this up for the same price on Saturday with the intent to open and play it. but then three words kept going back and forth in my head: RED-DEAD-REDEMPTION. I haven't played that either, but I don't see how any other western games will live up to RDR..
