Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
hahaha, that's classic. I picked this up for the same price on Saturday with the intent to open and play it. but then three words kept going back and forth in my head: RED-DEAD-REDEMPTION. I haven't played that either, but I don't see how any other western games will live up to RDR..
very true, but COJ came out way before RDR, and at the time of release, it was a decent game, u cant compare it to RDR

I'm currently knee deep in RDR and it has me so enjoying Western's that I'm considering picking up CoJ. (But I'm thinking I might end up dissatisfied)

at the time i was into COJ but then with all my cag addictions i ended up playing other games

plus i picked it up for $5 so it wasnt like i lost money on that deal

The new setup has caused my target to be a bust since they now sticker the face out title in the video game area i.e. not on a clearance end cap anymore.

I played COJ a while back and have to agree that it sucked. The graphics were fuzzy (PS3) and it was just slow and boring. After playing RDR, no reason to ever play another western until they make a good one to compete with RDR.

BTW, Targets around here suck ass compared to all of the people I see on here reporting finds. We only have Red Faction and thats so old no one is buying it.

My apologies if these have all been mentioned - there was a cavalcade of new clearance today:

Mario Power Tennis :wii: 20.98
Super Paper Mario :wii: 34.98
Guitar Hero Van Halen :wii: 34.98
Madagascar Kartz w/ Wheel 20.98 (might be good to get cheap wheels, have no idea what they're like)

You're In The Movies :360: 14.98 (I think)

Transformers ROTF :ps3: 20.98

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (Explorers of Darkness/Time) :ds: 24.98

Also, for any baby havers in the audience, there was an absurd baby clearance at one of the stores I was at. Only at 15%, but pretty much everything bigger than a breadbox was 15% off.

I hope you passed on that Van Halen handsompete! otherwise, seems pretty nice..only a $5 diff for Y-I-T-M's and the wheel that comes with M-Kartz is almost identical to the official one, just green..I also think that Mario Power Tennis will be MSRP $19.99 one day very soon..
What system was this for?
West LR, AR target, Force Unleashed - both 360 and PS3 I think (sorry it's been a few days/sorry, I didn't post the deal correctly in the first place).
I'm a straight laced, if not professional/nerdy looking white dude. I still get trailed.
Me too, but my shifty eyes/heavy breathing make people nervous.
Saw a single copy of Call of Jaurez:BiB for $13.98 at the Target in Bowling Green, KY.

Played for about an hour last night and I must admit...

Wish I had my $13.98 back. :(
There was a demo .

Saw Metroid Prime Trilogy for $34.xx today. Might get it if it makes it to 50% off. I already have a copy, but it has always bugged me that the corner of my steelbook was dented.

I got the PS2 Guitar Hero 5 Guitar Bundle for $19.xx in North Olmsted, OH; they had to enter the price to complete the transaction. The game by itself was still marked at $39.99.

I'm sorry for the dumb question, are these the Collector Edition?
Parma OH Target clearance section still sucks, if anyone is interested.
Was considering heading out there today, so yes, I am interested. Thanks for the update. W117th also sucks, FYI.

Bunch of Lego Star Wars for PC at Mays Landing, NJ. I believe they were $2.48. Saw two copies of spongebob for Xbox. Didn't catch the price.
Is Halo Wars on clearance any where else? I can't remember coming across any in my area.
I recall others mentioning it before, so it should be. But Target clearance is YMMV.
what targets in san diego? cause most still have it at 9.99
Grossmont center. And they had like 20 of them.

Not the greatest game but for $5 its a great $5 game

I checked a Target in South Carolina and their Metroid Prime Trilogy was also $50. I'm getting to the point now where I'm spending more in gas than if I had just bought it for $50 lol

Hopefully it will drop here next week.

Only clearance game my Target had left was Brutal Legend for XBOX 360 *$9.98*, however because our state changed the driver license, my license would not scan, thus they needed to get a manager override, so I just left.

When did it become acceptable for target to scan DLs? They did that to me 2 times now without my permission. They should just check the birthdate.

My target had about 6 copies of the Metroid Prime Trilogy for 35 bucks. I was tempted to get it even though I don't have a wii. My friend wants me to go back and pick one up for him.

Ummm they've been doing this for at least a year.
Picked up:

Bayonetta (PS3) - $14.98
Left 4 Dead (360) - $4.98
LFD!!!!!!! :bomb:

this game has been avoiding me since the dawn of time
Ummm they've been doing this for at least a year.
I don't mean literally. I was referring to the fact they scan your id without asking your permission. They ask me to "see it", not scan it.

They had six copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy at one of my local Target stores today, all clearly marked $34.98, as well as the same copy of GTA: Episodes From LC for PC from last week, which was marked the same price as last week($20.98).

Other than that they had a bunch of Element brand LCD HDtv's on clearance, with the highest priced one being only about $30 off of MSRP. They also had some other HDtv's on the one clearance endcap, but I didn't take note of the brand they were.

No videogame deals at my store but I did find some Halo Minifigs for 3.74...it was weird. The receipt said it was part of some prerelease game or something and the DPCI started as a 207 (should be an electronic item).

Oh well my nephew will enjoy it and makes up for the terrible day I had today (I was by myself in the backroom for 6 and a half hours).
Saw a left 4 dead at my target, $4.98 but left it.
Unless you already own it, you're nuts! Excellent game at an excellent price.

Balboa one has it at 13.xx still. Like 20 copies of that Blob game for $9.99... Just went last night and I already forgot what was there. I picked nothing up, which just means it's not good =P
Mine had Bayonneta at full price.

Is it me or does the west coast seem to be 1-2 cycles behind the east coast.
at the moment yes, but that just means we know ahead of time of drops, and we just need to wait for a monday and jump on a drop

In the midwest its either they go on clearance or never do and when they do they are always behind so dont feel so bad..
Mine had Bayonneta at full price.

I've seen Bayonetta @ 14.98 in California, so I'd say it's pretty luck of the draw.
I don't mean literally. I was referring to the fact they scan your id without asking your permission. They ask me to "see it", not scan it.
Um, most big chain stores scan your ID these days rather just look at it, that's why they have magnetic strips on them. It's a more reliable way to make sure it's valid rather than just looking at it with the naked eye. If you're that paranoid about it, buy all your shit online.

Target is the only store that has done it to me. Other stores, just enter your birthdate from the ID. It is a little big brother especially if you are not "opting in" to be tracked (like a store rewards card).

I'm sorry, but if you're that worried about stores tracking your identity, start giving cash to people as they go into the store and say, "Hey man... Can you go and score an adult video game for me? I like to stay... 'Off the grid....'"

Back on topic... deBlob is the Blob game that is on clearance at the Target's that I've seen. For $10, I would totally grab that. It's a hell of a good game.

You must not buy many age restricted items because most chain stores do it these days. They're checking the validity of your ID and birthdate, not taking your first born and tracking you through the Matrix.

If you're going to be that paranoid about it, stop doing business with Target and other retailers who check ID's that way and may I suggest never going to a club with a bouncer at the door as they often have the same types of machines.

BTW- do you have a cell phone? Most of them have a GPS in them, so you'd best ditch it today...

Are you guys finding Metroid Prime Trilogy marked at $35 in the plastic prisons? Or have they been moved to the clearance?

The MPT in my local Target got moved from one spot in the prison to another, but the price is still $50. Everywhere in Charlotte NC and Rock Hill SC still has it for $50 :(
