Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

went to the one at Scottsdale Pavillions(AZ):
Only checked PS3 and Wii Sections:
Wii mostly shovelware (as far as I could tell). Also was a Mario Tennis for 20.xx
PS3: Brutal Legend for 13.xx and GT5: Prologue for 20.xx
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 was in stock, but not marked as clearance - would probably need to price check it, but wasn't going to get it anyway, so *shrug*..

Went to 3 different Targets. Saw MPT at all 3 of them, I have it already so I passed. I found 1 LBP w/DS3 and it rang up full price, that was the only item I was looking for.
I saw nothing that wasn't listed already.

Picked up last copy of GH5 for the 360 at Atlantic Station Target. Shelf tag said $12.48, but it rang up at $39.99. I went back to the shelf with the associate, and we confirmed it was GH5 listed on the tag. He did an override to get me the $12.48 price. I'm a pretty easy going guy, so if it was a different shelf tag, I wouldn't have argued and just let it go.

I have a drive back to home from Atlanta to Northern Virginia, so now I just have to decide how many Targets to stop at on the way back. :D

do you really have to ask?????

ALL OF THEM :whee:

Nothing was in the Reston, VA target, but the Chantilly, VA target had the SpongeBob game for $9.98. They were still marked at the $27 price point.

Within a span of two weeks, I pretty much covered all the major retail stores within a ten to twenty mile radius. Damn. I won't be going back to the majority of them. Out of all those stores, I only had luck at two Toys R Us stores and one Target. I actually did it in hopes of finding rare games, not to hoard.

Alas, I'm going to focus most of my attention back online.

Haha, the only way it would ring up much lower than what it is marked is if you hid it in the store. Good job though.

or they just didnt change the clearance tag on it

CAG rule #5983 - always scan a clearanced/any item, for it may be lower than the sticker price

edit - theres a glitch in the CAG matrix
I saw GTA Episodes for :pc: for $20.98 today.
I saw that like 2-3 weeks ago for that at one of my local Target stores. Aside from that they had an endcap with some clearance LCD HDtv's and 4-6 copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy for $34.98 and not much else unless you like PC games or junk accessories for your cell phone.

I haven't been checking Target recently, until just today. What day are they updating clearance prices now? There was a copy of Metroid Prime trilogy for $35 that I'd like to get when it's under $20.

Went to Target yesterday and saw GTA: Episodes From Liberty City for PC for about 20 bucks. Also saw Tekken 6 for PS3 for $30. However, I got The Beatles Rock Band for 10 bucks. This wasn't in the clearance section, but they had a mix up with the price label. Not sure if this only happened in my store or not.

Parma, OH this morning had:
1 Bayonetta PS3 for $30
1 Transformers Revenge... 360 for $15
They also had a smattering of DS games, but I don't have any details.

So basically nothing good.
Im finding tons of the Little big planet dual shock bundle at full price. Scanned just to make sure. Anyone actually finding it clearanced need 2 of them for the dual shocks?
i am as well. maybe certain stores havent hit that clearance price yet? or was the original found an open box?

Only thing of note that I saw recently is Fallout Trilogy PC Collection for $10.98. I'm waiting for it to drop to about $5 before I pick it up.

Oh yeah I also saw 2 different Pokemon DS games on clearance. I think one was Pokemon Ranger...the other was Almia? Sorry as you can tell I don't keep up or know much about Pokemon. LOL

I think its the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games for $24.98.

Saw Beatles Rock Band for $9.98 in the plastic prison yesterday in Nashville, TN.

I saw these 2 and copies of Tekken 6 for 360 for around $30-40 at my Target this morning.

If it hasn't been said already, the Target Seasonal Department changes tomorrow, so all those summer grills, chairs, and patio sets will be going clearance as of 8am Monday morning.
If it hasn't been said already, the Target Seasonal Department changes tomorrow, so all those summer grills, chairs, and patio sets will be going clearance as of 8am Monday morning.
Some of them already are-- I spotted a fullsize Weber Q portable gas grill for 50% off ($120) last week. I'm sure it's gone by now, those grills are AWESOME. So keep your eyes peeled for drops on Weber-Q and Baby-Q grills, because there's still 6+ weeks of summer left! Plus, I've had my Baby-Q for almost 5 years, those things last a long time if you take good care of them!

To keep things on target (ha!): I grabbed Transformers; Revenge for Wii for $7.48. Noticed that Interplay's PC Fallout collection (Fallout I and II and Tactics) was half off ($7.48). If you can deal with old games, these are crucial (wellllll tactics not so much) and that's a good price!
I think its the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games for $24.98.
I saw these in Socal for the same price. They were PMD: Explorers of Time and PMD: Explorers of Darkness.

PMD: Explorers of Sky is NOT on clearance.

I never really understood the hate for Fallout Tactics. I didn't like the Continuous Turn-Based Mode so I just turned it off and played with the Individual Turn-Based mode. The missions lasted longer and you got to control every character in your squad. The lack of exploration and NPC interaction sucked but they shouldn't keep anybody from trying out the game. I'm not saying it compares to FO and FO2 but it's not that bad either. If I didn't own all three, I would pick this up in a heartbeat.

Sweet - I want something simple for my deck.

I forgot to post the clearance stuff I pulled yesterday, but it's pretty bad. I was asked for some blackberry screen protectors, Psyclone Wii chargers, and a couple Wii shovelware titles I can't remember.
Beatles RB (360) for $9.98 at Manassas Mall Target, several copies.
Ever since the switch to glass cages for games, my closest Target switched from a few weeks behind the average to way ahead. If you want Beatles RB at that price, get it soon because at this store it got restocked at 29.99 in the value area. Also . . .

Hope I can now find a hammock at another store that isn't as far along in the clearance cycle.

In the plastic prison today:

Left 4 Dead: $4.98 (marked $19.99, bought 2)
Oblivion GotY: $29.99
Burnout Paradise: $29.99

This store is pretty far behind on clearance titles, I guess.

saw nothing of interest except GTA4: LCC (PC) for $29.98. Not much of a deal...

As I was walking by the plastic prison, I saw the red flaps of the shelf tags and my heart almost skipped a beat b/c I thought they were red clearance tabs..alas, they were just the "As Advertised" or "Lower Price" tags. I guess this was the first store I've been out where they used the flappy tags on the plastic prison

No luck in Southern California... around LA and Orange Country.. no sings of Metroid Prime Trilogy around here... but I found a few clearance games, most of them are:

Tekken Xbox 360 $27.xx
Call of Juarez Xbox 360 $9.xx
There are some PC game on clearance 30% off....

No outdoor stuff on clearance yet here (damn, I could have used some deck chairs), but I did find a copy of :360: IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey for $7.48.

All PS3 in SE Michigan.:

Bayonetta - $15 (bought last copy)

Lego Star Wars II: The Complete Saga - $13.98

Brutal Legend (PS3) - $13.98

Found some Playmobil toy sets for my son on clearance. They had a fire truck, killer whale watcher w/ boat, and a hunter dude with a big-ass rifle, canoe and a moose.

For any photographers out there: Arlington Rd. Target in Akron, OH had the Canon EF-S 55-250mm IS lens on clearance for $150 on Saturday. They had 2 left and a display model. May have dropped to $75 today but I dunno.

I would have bought one but I'm going to upgrade to a 1d and 1ds soon, so it wouldn't work with those. :(
