Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

You lucky bastard. :)
They're not always accurate, so don't go if it'll ruin your day if they don't really have it. and if you call and it's a great deal keep in mind you could very well get a clerk happy to say "Nope, all out" while they stash it for themselves to buy.
That's the good thing about the price checkers they have inside the store. It tells you how many are on the floor, what aisle they're in, and if there are any in the stockroom.

yeah i seen that forum didnt find one though as my walmart still had them marked as 350

I know Target is pretty quick to fire the clearance gun well before official announcements, but I would have thought they'd wait more than a month before starting to clearance the old boxes.

Might make me regret buy the S. I wanted the larger hard drive and built in wireless. However, to get a new N wireless controller, plus the console, it wouldn't be until the $349 bundles hit 50% off, and I don't think they'll make it that low.

PS3:
Brutal Legend $10
Bayonetta $15
MLB the Show 09 $20
GT Prologue $15

360:
Tekken 6 $20
something else, don't remember, don't have a 360.

I was very tempted to get Brutal Legend or Bayonetta, but I was able to resist because by backlog is already over a dozen games either not started or barely started.

I did however pickup a Flid HD mino 60 min for $100 for the GF. We almost bought it last night, but I told her to wait as it may drop today. They probably had a dozen or so left so I will check back next week to see if it dropped to attempt to purchase again and return with the old receipt.

Damn, another person found Bayonetta for $15. So jealous. No targets around here even have the game, let alone for $15.

Has anybody checked out TRU clearance for MPT? One in my area has the collector's edition on clearance for $32.xx after tax, and still has 4-5 left. Thought I'd put it here first since there's been so many people looking for it at Target :D

P.S. This is my first post to any forum/thread, ever!

Been on the watch for Metroid Prime. It finally materialized at a Target near me. So now I finally have it. Be good to start these before Metroid Other M comes out.

Quick question, are all Metroid Prime Trilogy the collector's edition?

So you didn't pick up Bayonetta for $15? Please tell me you are located in SoCal somewhere!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they are all CE. That might be why it went OOP. the case probably costs a bit more than your average case.

They might re-release it as a Greatest Hits but it will likely be without the case/inserts.

There is no line of Greatest Hits on the Wii. Nintendo is the stingiest 1st Party publisher this generation.

You should know what you buy in the future.

Picked up a $10 Tekken 6 (360) at the Springfield Mall,PA Target, not much else had moved.

They have a few AT&T pay as you go phones for $7.48 with $15 phone credit which seemed an ok deal.
You should know what you buy in the future.
:applause:
I have no ideal what I'll buy in the future.

And I know exactly what I bought today. Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I went back to the Target by me that had 4-6 copies of MPT about 2 weeks ago. Of course they were long gone.

But I did notice some Wii games on clearance(namely Planet 51).

However, the trip was not for naught, as I picked up the GTA Episodes From Liberty City:pc: for $7.48.

But since I don't have a PC good enough to play it it's up on my TL for $11 shipped if anyone wants it.

Delran, NJ:

Tekken 6 (Xbox 360): $19.98
SingStar Queen (PS3): $19.98
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (PC): $13.98

Potentially YMMV glitch regarding the "buy two $39.99 or higher games, get a $20 gift card" sale: The $39.99 cutoff applies to the original retail price, not its current clearance price.

Any one in CA been able to find tekken 6 for :ps3: for lower then $40 cause I have checked a few and they are all priced at $40. I keep seeing posts for prices of $20-$10 for targets out of state.

there were two at my local target about a hour ago. but i'm in idaho. i could pick one up for you. just cover shipping and cost.

Bought the last copy of Bayonetta for $15 that was in the plastic prison case. Noticed the huge dent in the back of the game before I left the store and went to return the game. Who's the moron who came up with this plastic prison design at Target?

Found out something interesting today. I decided to pull the trigger and buy the last two copies of MPT at my local Target for 34.xx to flip. There is a glitch in the system and it gave me the $20 gift card that you would receive for buying 2 select games and accessories priced 39.99 or more. Gotta love that!

On a side note, if anyone wants a copy of MPT, PM me.

Open game, buy same game used but with complete/minty case at Gamestop(good luck on that:roll:), return 'zomg dented case' to Gamestop within 7 days.

Problem solved.:D;):booty:

Mind you, I think the Bayonetta case on the 360 version is one of those bullshit 'eco' cases with the big holes in the front and back parts of the case.

I asked them to scan the last copy of a game in the prison and the attaching cable blocks the UPC code. He had to take the game out of the case to scan it for price. Very poor design.

The Target in Irving, TX on MacArthur has Tekken 6 on Xbox for $9.98, Braid PC for $10 (dunno if that's a good deal or not, but it's MSRP was $20) and a few other games in the clearance section [the section is located on the end of the far aisle behind the computer sections)

Hmmmm, you mean to say that if I picked up 2 copies of Tekken 6 at $9.98 each instead of the one I picked up I could've gotten a $20 giftcard? :bomb:

Oddly enough I bought Gears 2 GOTY edition on clearance @ another Target near me for $7.48 about 6 months ago, however the one nearest me has several copies that aren't yet clearanced out. If they are, then they weren't priced as such...although the shelf tag says NCF.
