Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

how do they do that? i also noticed that when i tried to get 2 clearance games with the $20 gift card, but they rang them up at full price instead to "add" the gift card added.

Yeah, like when I found Chronicles of Riddick there without a price sticker on it, the employee scanned it and said it didn't show up in the computer and that he couldn't sell it to me, then placed it under the electronics counter.

that's a whole different issue.

Visited target and found:
10x Pokemon Mystery Dungeon something (DS) - $19.xx
Passed on GT:p for 7.48 for PS3

Picked up Bound in Blood for Xbox for 4.98
Ghostbusters for PSP for 4.98
Kingdom hearts: Chain of memories for PS2 for 4.98

Nothing else to note.
I might pick up OFP Dragon Rising if it sticks around until it hits the $5 price range. Then again I've heard people having isses w/ the game. Is it any good? I know since BFBC2 came out, it probably got deserted even moreso.
It was worth the $9.99 when I bought it at Gamefly last May.

Saw some decent deals:

:ps3: Brutal Legend - $4.98
:ps3: Mortal Kombat vs. DC United - $7.48
:wii: Madagascar Kartz bundle w/ wheel - $7.48 (saw this at 3 different Targets, each one unmarked and placed on the regular shelf with the other Wii big box items. I only scanned it because I knew it had been on clearance from previous weeks. Almost seems like a restock)

My Target's clearance section has been pretty cleaned out for a while now. There used to be an abundance of video game titles (granted, many of them were Wii shovelware), but not so much. Saw a damaged box Bayonetta, Tekken 6 and Red Faction Guerrilla all for the PS3. But that was about it.

First Target video game find in ages. Singstar Queen - $10...been waiting forever for that drop...got the last one.

Waiting for toys to hit 75% off her. They're 30-50% off right now. Found an outdoor coffee table for the deck on clearance for $38 that was out of the system (but they sold it to me anyway).
You'll be waiting for awhile. I can't picture Bourne Trilogy BD going on sale until maybe Holiday season.

I just imported the UK Bourne Trilogy BD last year. $28 USD total including shipping and taxes. Not sure if it's still that cheap but unless you're attached to the US packaging it's a great option (and Region A compatible).

Edit: Still $28.18 shipped to US. If you get tired of waiting, that option is always there.
Link please?
Picked up a 4gb smartpen for 87+ tax at the manhattan beach target.
I saw these as well... What exactly do they do? I read the packaging and I still cant figure out what these things are for.
I saw these as well... What exactly do they do? I read the packaging and I still cant figure out what these things are for.
The only priactical application I have ever seen them used for is to capture notes and a signature when you don't have a second copy of a document. You can basically hand the original document to the customer and then print a second copy back at the office inserting the signature and notes. I know a construction contractor came to our home and gave us an estimate using that method. It also captured his notes that he took when he measured our property. Basically, unless you make a lot of handwritten notes that need to be saved for some reason digitally, it's a fairly useless device.

Finally came across a good VG deal in a while. Found a single copy of GT5p (GH version) marked at 20.98 but rang up at $7.48. Had to buy it just to justify all the wasted trips.

Almost bit on a copy of Tekken for 360 so as to pair it up with a $50 psn card, more for the card than the game as cheap PSN cards are almost impossible to find. Passed since I only have an x-arcade stick that I use between my Wii and PS3 (nothing for 360), making Tekken pretty much worthless to me.

Oh, while not a clearance deal, I did see the LE version of Starcraft 2 at every store I visited yesterday and today(all in so-cal). If you're having a hard time finding it, check out your local Target. Or don't and I might be able to get it on clearance sometime in 2012;).
Hmm is gran turismo 5 part of the free gift card deal? i bought MPT and will do another returrn/rebuy if that happens :D
Nope. I scanned it and it didn't show as eligible. Original MSRP was showing as 29.99.

However, Tekken was still scanning as eligible.
Is the free gift card deal still good?
Good until this Saturday, as advertised in this week's ad.

SE Michigan:
Brutal Legend PS3 - $4.98

BTW, all the clearance toys (except A-Team stuff) went to 75% off today.
They were marking down as I got there at lunch.
It was a madhouse. Got some great stuff though.

I was at the Poway store and Alone in the Dark and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader (360) are both 13.98.

But there were a bunch of toys for 75% off. I helped myself to an Iron Man 2 bobblehead and some other toy for my nephew. Prince of Persia toys were also 75% off.

Yesterday I found some Lego Racers 75% off at my store for 3.74. The set in question is Chopper Jump 8196. Guess I got lucky since our store just finished inventory and sometimes clearance like that shows up.

Picked up the Batmobile, Iron Man Mr. Potatohead, and Iron Man bobble head for cheap. Saw a lot of toys marked down to 75% off. My kids went crazy with the whole "I want this and this and this." It was toy overload for them and Daddy was a sucker and bought them a ton of stuff. Why anyone needs an iCarly doll is beyond me.

Also, picked up some Metroid Prime Trilogys for $25. Got the $20 gift card as well.
Why anyone needs an iCarly doll is beyond me.
Your store had an iCarly doll? I got fucked. Dammit. I bought my kid some GeoTrax Cars stuff and a bunch of Hot Wheels and Matchbox stuff. There was a shit ton of Transformers stuff. I also bought (for myself) an SCX Slot Racing NASCAR Slot Car track. I am really jazzed that I found that...

Called a couple stores around my area for Bayonetta PS3 and had them check their stock using the DPCI number. 2 stores had the games in the back, but not on display (which I think may be due to those new plastic prisons so maybe there are many games hiding back there that will one day be brought out to clearance again).

Anyway when I asked the customer rep the price over the phone, they told me 59.99. That doesn't seem right as the price on Target's website right now is 39.99. It seemed to me that they were taking the prices off the computer, but could the prices be different than what a price scanner would show? If so, I'm going to print out the UPC and go there and scan it myself.

1) never call
2) they probably just rattled off $59.99 to get you off the phone.

You've been a CAG for over 4 years and you thought you'd get a straight answer when you called?

I just got home from a target that had it in the case for $59.99 too. I really wish I would have picked it up a couple of weeks ago when I first saw it for $15. Of course it didn't last.

Went there to look for Bayonetta and Resident Evil 5 Gold and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, all for PS3, and only saw Tekken 6 for PS3 or 360, I forget which system it was for. I am sorry for that but I know the Tekken 6 copy was in their little clearance section that is in the corner of their Electronics department on the bottom floor. same case at a store near me for the first 2 parts (although they had different toys, some jenga thing and a few other games/toys). i also picked up fallout trilogy PC for $3.74, lower than the original post's price.
i would love to find some lego sets on clearance. :D

there were a bunch of copies of pokemon mystery dungeon for $17.48 still. those won't be moving for a while. two targets had a bunch of copies of explorers of sky, and one had a bunch of explorers of darkness.

The toy section was a gold mine. iCarly, Wizards of Waverly Place, Dora, Toy Story, Iron Man, Lego,CHixos, Tonka. I saw more then a few soccer moms stuffing multiple carts of toys.

The only thing in the games area was Braid PC. I wanted Fallout. Hopefully, when the west coast starts the clearance cycle of the game of what the east coast gets months before, I can find something.

No game deals for me but man did I make out on the 75% toy clearance! Picked up a bunch of stuff I probably didn't need:

Iron Man 2 Mr. Potato Head ($3.74)
Iron Man 2 LE Holographic bobblehead ($2.48 only at Target)
2 Skelanimals ($3.74 each)
Collector's Edition Nurse Barbie ($9.98 from $39.99)
Hello Kitty Fortune Cookie Kit ($3.74)

My finds of the day:
2 Halo Collector's Edition Mega Bloks 9 inch figures ($4.98 each)

I'm all set with some early Xmas gifts! Except the Iron Man and Halo stuff is mine...
I felt weird picking up that Hello Kitty Fortune Cookie set, but glad to see I'm not alone.
Bwahahahahah...me too...but good thing it's not for me
Iron Man 2 Mr. Potato Head ($3.74)
Oh snap. Holy horrible merchandising ideas, Batman... yet for $3.74, I don't think I'd be able to pass it up. Haha.

:360: Tekken 6 is $19.98 here, waiting til it hits $9.98 and I'll bite.
