Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Today's find: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness for a whopping $4.34.

Getting a game for less than $5 is great, especially when it's one that I'd been wanting to play. :)

My Target had all the same games as last week still at the same price. Maybe they are late with the scanning who knows? Hopefully Punch out and Madden 10 will drop this week. I might check back later on during the week.

My frigg'n Target still has Tekken 3 and GH: Van Halen both PS3 at full price! I want to get them but not till they clearance them!

Stopped by my Target in Colorado and they had
Wii: Punchout w/ nunchuk:32.xx
PS3: Bayonetta :41.xx (WTF!)
psp: Madden 10: 9.xx
360: Darkvoid: 14.xx
Are you Smarter than a 5th grader: 14.xx
Ive been watching the Punchouts and they finally dropped to 32. Last time i scored a couple of the Madagascar Karts for 7.48. Half tempted to stash some!

Allen, TX. (mcdermott & 75) Target, picked up Bioshock 2 Special Edition box for the 360 today for $17.48. Pleasantly shocked to find this set so cheap! Only one set tho.

Came across TH Ride
iconwii.gif
for $19.99 and Backbreaker
iconps3.gif
for $9.99

Only one copy of each, though. The store's going thru the remodel to accomodate fresh groceries, so it wouldn't surprise me if they found them in some hoarder's nest. The other stores I went to still had Ride priced around $70 or so.

The Ride box is pretty beat up so I'm going to test it out and make sure it's fine. As long as everything checks out fine, I'll be giving it to my cousin. Otherwise, it goes back to the store.

Those boards are almost bullet proof...it should be ok.

Picked up :ps3: Bioshock 2 Special Edition @ 75% off. Only one. Really would rather have the :360: edition.

I see now that there is no listing on the first post, so the DCPI is 207-24-0336 @ $17.48.

i also picked up Bioshock 2 Special Edition, but mine is for the 360.

Are the BioShock 2 SEs marked as clearance? My store has a couple of them but they aren't marked clearance (there is no price on them at all actually).

yeah it has the red sticker on them with the updated price.

depending on the store they'll either be in the video game section with the rest of the games, or they'll be in the clearance section in the electronics.

scan them to be sure. the only copies i have found were not marked or on clearance.

The Bioshock 2 SE's for both PS3 and 360 were marked with the NCF tag at the one store by me tonight, as was the Little Big Planet/Dual Shock 3 bundle. The bundle was MIA, but they had at least 3 copies of the SE of Bioshock 2 between 360 and PS3.

They also had seasons 3 and 4 of 21 Jump Street in the wider PC type CD/DVD packaging for $6 and change a season, each of them were marked 'as-is'.

I only checked 1 Target tonight in the hopes of maybe finding :360: Bioshock 2 SE and :wii: Punch Out! bundle for cheap, but nope I didn't see any around that store. Instead I saw:
:wii: Tiger Woods PGA Golf 2010 $20.xx
:wii: Barbie Horse Adventures $3.74
:wii: Daisy Fuentes Pilates $3.74
some DS shovelware

Tekken 3?! Damn, that game is old. Still my favorite though.

went to the target in buena park, ca. saw a buncha of xbox 360 live vision webcams for $19.99.

i don't own a a 360 myself so i'm not sure if that's a good price or if there's a better alternative but figured i'd post here anyways.

It was weird kiddie DS shovelware day; I ended up at 3 Targets today and they all had creepily the same weird DS games out on clearance (that seemed to come out of nowhere). Can't even remember what they were called, it was like "I love Babies" or something strange. Most of the decent 360/PS3/Wii games all disappeared, not sure if they were salvaged or bought at 30%. Also saw Tiger Woods 2010 Wii for $20something at all 3.

Some poor sucker bought the horribly beat up Bioshock 2 SE at one of the stores, I wonder if it dropped or they seriously paid like $50-$60 (can't remember what price it was last week) for one, given all the deals in the last few months for it.

Saw Ghostbusters (PS3) for 20.xx. Not worth it at the price obviously, but may consider picking it up for 7.xx if it lasts that long...

While my wife was shopping around in clothing, I decided to check out the clearance section at our local Rockwall, TX Target (newly renovated!). Picked up the only copy of :ps3: Bioshock 2 CE for $17.48. Which was quite funny, since two aisles over they had the regular edition on sale for $29.99. :applause:

It would be cheaper to find a copy of Your in the Movies for $5, since it includes the webcam.

It is the actual sony branded ones. They are pretty nice.

Crazy when the SE drops lower than regular.

Tekken 3 :whistle2:s, nice! I don't think my target carries PS1 games.

Target West Covina South (CA) has:

:wii: Tiger Woods 10 20.98
:ps3: Ghostbusters the game 20.98 (???? Retail Price is $19.xx)
:wii: Madden NFL 10 20.98
:wii: Family Feud 2010 Edition 20.98
:wii: My Syms Racing 20.98

another Xbox 360 that I don't remember the name, but it was $13.98

I guess Target Clearance is going back, not as much as we had in the past but more decent that it was in the last few months.

I checked my local Targets. All the CE versions of Bioshock 2 were ringing up $69.99. Punch-out plus nunchuck were ringing up between $32 and $48 :bomb:
Anybody have any luck locating a copy of Punch-out w/ nunchuk in SoCal?
Yeah, it was stickered at $43 or some shit. Didn't bother to scan it. Box was beat up. The Target is undergoing a complete renovation and it looked like a hoarder jammed this under something and they magically uncovered it.

It'd be ironic if no one buys it now, and after enough drops, the "hoarder" is able to get it anyway.

The hoarder was probably Target's employees. All the boxes I've seen are pretty messed up too. The excitetrucks boxes are pretty mint so they must have something against boxing titles.

Nothing much of interest, except that the local Target has like 5 dozen copies of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for $23.xx.

That's how it was at the Anaheim CA Target store about a month ago... except that it was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.

When they get to $5, I would totally love it if you could help a brother out and get me one! I'll pay you double the price, it's a steal! ;)

I remember when my local Target had about 5 dozen copies of :ps3: NFS: Undercover. They were all marked $3.74 and wouldn't sell for shit.

One of my Target's has the same quantity of "High School the Musical 3 for DS," and has had them for 3 months.
For those who found and bought Bioshock 2 CE - when you look up the DCPI does it show as on clearance for $17.xx?
I did not look up the DCPI, but it rang up that price, so the scanner would show the same. If it did not at your store, it just has not dropped that low there yet.

Target NEED to drop StarCraft 2 CE by 50% :bouncy:

Or is it gonna stay in the backroom for rest of the year?

What's Target's plan with SC2 CE? Any insider know?

Speaking of SC2 CE, I was at Fry's last week and they literally had 32 copies on shelves; no telling how many stocked in the back. I wasn't terribly interested in getting the game but if that puppy drops I might change my tune :]
