Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

From someone who really wanted to like that game I can tell you that you should wait for it to drop to $7.48 or less.

If you are desperate, go for it at 13.98 even though that is a bad deal, and anything over that is throwing your money away.

You'd have more fun throwing money from the second story in a crowded mall and watching people fight for it on the first floor.

Man I really want my local targets punchout bundles to drop one more time.ill snatch em all up.there at 32. Xx for 2 weeks now.the two said that most likely they' ll drop again next week which would be 16. Xx which would be 75% off.hurry up Monday.did see NAughty BEAR for 24. Xx

Hit up some Targets last night. Didn't find much, but I found an endcap full of USB 1GB Flash Drives for $1.24 :hot: at one store. There was like a hundred of them. No BS. Wish could've taken a picture, but my cellphone died on me.

At another store, discovered some worthy PC games:

Alien vs. Predator (2010) - $14.98
BioShock 2 - $14.98
Borderlands - $9.98
Prototype - $14.98
Red Faction: Guerrilla - $9.98

Too bad my computer isn't built for gaming. I would've gotten those games in a heartbeat. PM me if you want locations.

I also want to try this game, and your post did absolutely nothing to tell me why I should think otherwise. You hated it - that much is clear. But why?

it won't any time soon, but if you're desperate to try it at the elusive under 30 price point, gamefly has it for $25 during this month's sale...
or rent it...

Saw these in the Portland, OR area:

:ps3: Ghostbusters $7.48
:ps3: Darkvoid $20.98
:ps3: Lego Rockband $13.98
:ps3: Metal Gear Solid 4 $13.98
:ps3: NFS Undercover $13.98

Plus some oddballs that I can't remember.

went looking for borderlands PC or plants vs zombies PC, found none of borderlands and PvZ was msrp... did find a ton of other PC games on clearance though, Bioshock $9.98, Bioshock/Oblivion $14.98, Bioshock 2 $14.98, a couple of the 3300 games in one type of games for $9.98, and a couple other decent titles I cant remember. I was really hoping for borderlands but ended up picking up the last Red Faction Guerilla for $9.98...

On the console side of things saw alpha protocol 360 $41.98, where the wild things are 360 $14 or $19, and the normal 5th grader and PES stuff... also saw Assassins Creed Bloodlines PSP for $9.98....
You are welcome Garett, I snagged the other copies of Starcraft ce, left one in case a cag came by. Glad one did
when you "copies" do you have any left? or were they sold/given to friends, etc.

Lots of PC games on clearance in SW Ohio:

Borderlands - $10
Bioshock/Oblivion - $10
AvP - $15
Bioshock 2 - $15
Prototype - $15

and many more. Good deals!

So, is it against rules to post a target instore item locator link in here? I swore I posted one for the StarCraft II Collector's Edition last night before I went to bed and the post is gone now.

Or maybe it's because the instore locator tool doesn't work any more.

Just curious.

What I saw today:

Target #1
:ps3: Terminator Salvation - $4.98
:ps3: Ghostbusters - $7.98
:ps3: Bayonetta - $14.98
:ps3: Lego Rock Band - $13.98
:ps2: Call of Duty 2 - $4.98
:360: GH World Tour Band kit - $59.98

They also had the exact same PC markdowns as posted above me.

Target #2
:ps3: inFamous - $20.98
:ps3: Metal Gear Solid 4 - $13.98
:ps3: Need for Speed Undercover - $13.98
:ps3::360: Alpha Protocol - $41.98

Picked up Ghostbusters and MGS4. I've always considered getting MGS4 and kept waiting. Glad I did now. If I didn't already have inFamous I would have got that too. I'm assuming the recent exodus of ps3 titles is to make way for Move titles. That's fine with me:lol:

Target in Williamsville, NY had at least a dozen copies of the :ps3: version of Naughty Bear for $12.98. Had a few copies of :360: Dark Void for $4.98, and :ps3::360: copies of Alpha Protocol for $41.98. Was tempted on Naughty Bear but decided not to.

In case people are unaware, the Bioshock/Oblivion combo DOES NOT contain Oblivion GOTY, as in it doesn't include the expansions. Still a great deal nonetheless!
What I saw today:

Target #2
:ps3: inFamous - $20.98
I've been hoping to find this for less than $20 since I beat it being "good" on my rental. I've been anxious to go back through it again and wipe out most of the city. Hopefully we see some 50% off deals for this one soon.

I saw HAWX today for 30% off (i think $20.98)

This is 6 months after I bought it at Target for 75% off (7.48).

I guess everything old (old) is new (old) again!

As long as they don't sell the copies they have it'll hit $14.98 soon. I think my Target had 6 copies in the case, doubt they'll sell those very quickly. But, it is a very high-volume store, so maybe they will.

Kmart had it for $20 on sale a few weeks ago, I just bought it new there. Still haven't played it yet. Backlog is getting way too big...

Picked up :360: Dark Void for $4.98 today. Based on what I've heard that's probably all it's really worth, but for that, what the hell. There was a bunch of new stuff as well, but it was mostly Wii/DS shovelware, so I didn't take time to note it down.

Skokie IL today had a bunch of new stuff. Lots of Wii and DS crap, as usual, but some gems as well. Alot you guys have mentioned already. 360 had Orange Box 13.98, Burnout Paradise PH 13.98, Where the Wild Things Are 13.98, Karaokee Revolution didn't check the price, I think it was 20.98, and not a clearence, but a drop on Iron Man 2 to 19.99. I'll get that last one when it inevitably drops to 7.48 or 4.98. PC had Bioshock/Oblivion 13.98, Borderlands 12.98, AVP 12.98, Red Faction Guerilla 12.98, Bioshock 9.98. There was a Bakugan DS game there in a weird box, probably with a toy or something, but I didn't check it, because I have no idea what Bakugan is, but someone might want to watch for it. All in all, there's alot of gaming per dollar value in alot of those games.
I also want to try this game, and your post did absolutely nothing to tell me why I should think otherwise. You hated it - that much is clear. But why?
Look it up brother, there are plenty of reviews out there. By all means go crazy and buy the game at 20+ if you want to, but you've been forewarned. This is comming from someone that pretty much likes anything. I'll give anything a second chance, even THIS game and I will buy it for 7.48, despite its faults but no way anymore than that, because like I said, its throwing away good money. I hate it because I like Obsidian but I cant really see WTH happened to them here other than they needed more time...yes, even more than they had.

The Game Informer review article is close to what I feel is wrong with it mostly.

Here are a few of my quick hits:

*Controls are not what they should be when they need to be fluid in a game that you are trying to NOT be caught, and when your going all out guns blazing the combat is lackluster at best. It just feels cheapo. Thats as detailed as I can get right now.

*Game really isnt as in depth as lead on to believe (more like Rpg lite with a lot of dialogue) - problably stems from Obsidian being asked to make the game easier during the development so I sort of expected it to be dumbed down.

*AI is just BAD...like brain dead bad...just awful (and this is what finally got me in the end and I just said F' it, either I get it super cheap or forget it and I dont get it at all)

*Graphics are terrible (this can be forgiven if the rest of the game is great, but it isnt, so this is just another fault)

What I DID like:

*Game looked like it was on the right track, had many of the elements you expected it to have but they were not fleshed out right. Its like ordering a big mac burger and you get served just a cheese burger...its also burger...but its not what you ordered in the end.

*The story seemed interesting enough...liked the dialogue options and how they made people change their attitude somewhat towards you.

EDIT: Problem with the dialogue though was that it wasn't very complicated, so although I liked the fact that depending on what you choose you get different reactions and + or - bonuses, that too in the end seemed like it was a little too watered down. Its just something you have to experience to get the full effect of what I am talking about.

Ran by 3 stores today, didn't buy anything. Can confirm pretty much everything people have mentioned - :ps3: Infamous, Alpha Protocol, :360: HAWX, Burnout Paradise, :pc: Borderlands, Bioshock 1 & 2, Metro 2033, etc. Also saw:

:pc:
Dawn of War II 14.98
CoH: ToV 14.98 - not great considering last weekend's Steam deal

:psp:
Army of Two 40th Day 20.98

In addition, STALKER CoP Collector's Edition is on sale for 14.99 through October. I was hoping for clearance on that, but it probably wouldn't get much cheaper anyway.

I happened to call my wife on break while she was still in Target & got her to see if she could scope out the clearance section for me. Nothing much to make note of, however I figured I'd have her check out the PC section for any clearance titles. More specifically Borderlands.

She found one copy but it was stickered as clearance. She told me the shelf tag was labeled $19.99 but I figured it may or may not be clearanced. She scanned it on the scanner & said it was $9.98. That made my day...man my wife's awesome!

Stopped by the two Targets in my area, both sucked. One had zero clearance games, everything still at full retail (come on Naughty Bear for 59.99 - who's gonna buy that?)
The other, had Ghostbusters for 24.98 and nothing else was clearanced.
I was really hoping to find Bayonetta :(
Borderlands should be dropping a lot as the GOTY edition comes out in October.
Price drops that happen because of a new edition make the drops a Catch-22. Unless the GOTY offers barely anything new, I rarely pick up the standard editions.

Bioshock $9.98
Bioshock 2 $14.98
Prototype $14.98
Bioshock/Oblivion $14.98
Metro 2033 $14.98
Company of Heroes Tales of Valor $14.98
Dawn of War II $14.98

And bunch of hidden object games for $9.98

I stopped by 2 SF Bay Area Targets tonight. I saw the following;

:360: Fairy Tale Fights $13.xx
:ps3: Call of Juarez:BiB $13.xx
:ps3: Lego Rock Band $13.xx
:ds: Bakugan Battle Brawlers $13.xx
lots of wii and DS shovelware

tons of PC games on sale (sorry, I can only remember the following ones)
Borderlands $9.xx
Bioshock $9.xx
Vampire Saga $9.xx
Prototype $14.xx
Bioshock/Oblivion $9.xx
Drawn $9.xx
Disney games (UP, Alice in Wonderland, Princess and the Frog) $9.xx each

I was hoping to find the Plants vs Zombies PC game with that Zombie figure on sale, but I did input the DCPI and it is still $19.99  Also, Starcraft 2 CE seems nonexistent at my local Targets.
Also, Starcraft 2 CE seems nonexistent at my local Targets.
Same thing at my local Bay Area Targets. Does anyone know if the employees see the current price when they look up DPCI numbers? Maybe they're stealing all the deals when we ask them to look for DPCI numbers!

Why would you ask an employee to look up a DCPI number?

When you don't feel like driving 30+ minutes to a Target to look for something that might not be there? But I just reread the OP and found the nifty inventory checker, so there actually is no need to do so.

Best Buy has Bayonetta for 19.99. A solid deal for an amazing game.

Went looking for a Starcraft II CE but couldn't find one at any of my Targets (they were all still at $99.99 in inventory too so they probably sold out quickly around here.)

I did find a Punch Out WII with nunchuck marked at $35 but rang up at $16.88 or whatever, pretty sweet deal considering the nunchuck is still $20. Also found a Metroid Prime Trilogy that was so old it wasn't in the system anymore. I left it since I've already got my copy but I think I'm going to go back and try and get it.

I just recently got a copy of MPT although kmart. Ive been waiting on the punchout bundles to drop.theyve been 32.48 for 2 weeks now. They would make awesome Holidy presents. Yeah i def suggest you pick up that copy of MPT. Its Amazon price gone up 12 or so bucks from 63.xx a couple of weeks ago.

Checked at a local Target and SC2 CE wasnt in their system anymore but the guy said it was still $99. They had 1 copy left. This was in SoCal.

:pc:
Wolfenstein - $19.98
Metro 2033 - $24.98
Red Faction: Guerrilla - $9.98
Bioshock 2 - $20.98
Dawn of War 2 - $14.98
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - $14.98
Aliens vs. Predator - $20.98

:ps3:
Dark Void - $20.98
Bayonetta - $29.98
Madden 10 - $14.98

Going to be keeping an eye on those PC games. Hoping I'll be able to snag Metro 2033, Bioshock2 and Wolfenstein for under $10 each.

Picked up the MPT and the guy rang it up at $12.48. I was not complaining! This was at the store that hassled me for using bar codes a few weeks back so this definitely makes up for it.

At $35 I was happy to find it but at $12.48 I can't believe it.

Wow, I was already looking at targets for a copy of MPT, now if only the website lookup was working right now I'd track down a copy and drive there now.
