Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Some advice on these really cheap ones... If you can find them for $5 or under it may be worth buying just to trade in at Gamestop since they have the 3 games = $10 extra and 5 games = $20. Just call GS first to make sure it's worth $2.00 and above. If you only have 4 to trade in, you can spend $5 and essentially turn it into $20.

I completely forgot to mention that the Target I stopped at yesterday didn't have ANY of the games you guys are mentioning on clearance as of yet. It's really quite pathetic that clearance is so fuckin' YMMV between stores.

But then again I guess most of the shleps in my area buy stuff at MSRP all the time and that's why there's rarely a need for putting stuff on clearance.
I know this is veering off topic, but which minifigs did they have in the Halloween section? Are they the blind packaged single figures:
http://www.thinkgeek.com/geek-kids/3-7-years/d587/

I picked a couple up at comic con this year, but didn't get the ones I really wanted (zombie or luchadore)
Yeah they were volume 2. I was stupid for not getting the volume 1 figs at the con.
I scored a copy of Punch Out w/ Nunchuk for Wii for $16.xx at my local Target. Box was a bit beat up but the contents were still sealed and new.
ditto... still marked $32.xx ... hurray for price checking scanners!

Put this with my Radio Shack $19.97 wimote bundle...
and found both on the same day...

Yeah, I finally found a :wii: Punch Out! with nunchuk bundle for $16.xx. For awhile, I was thinking this doesn't exist at SF Bay Area Targets. It was just thrown into the clearance toy aisle. The box is beat up, but it is okay :D

I saw, but didn't pick up

:ps3: Bayonetta $14.xx (just 1 copy left at Redwood City, CA Target)
:360: Burnout Paradise (PH) $13.xx

this is the problem i'm having, i swear there are people here that buy stuff as soon as it has a clearance sticker even if the price is still garbage. There were like 5 naughty bears at my target for 39.99, I went back and there was only one left...still 39.99.

Naughty Bear seems like the new Fairytale Fights, since it seems to be price dropping pretty quickly. I'm glad I didn't go through with buying it when it came out like I originally intended to.

Ran a quick errand to Target (same one where I found all of those copies of Plants vs Zombies for $4.98). Did a pass thru Electronics to see if there was any change.

EVERY single copy of PvZ was gone:shock:. I have never seen a clearance game, with that many available copies no less, sell out so quickly. It'll usually take a couple of weeks for them to sell out instead of a few days.

Either the store pulled them, for whatever reason, or there was some ole' fashion hoarding taking place.

I still have yet to see a PvZ on clearance.
What location??
Its the Rockwall, Texas store. There were only 2 left so I would call before to see if they are still there.

Saw Orange Box for the 360 for $13.98 tonight ... Should of grabbed it for that price but hopefully by the time my new 360s comes from Dell the game will hit another drop ;)
I still have yet to see a PvZ on clearance.
Did you try scanning it? I picked up :pc: Plants vs. Zombies GOTY with the Zombie figure for $9.xx, but it wasn't even marked as being on clearance.

I did and they still came up at $19.99, at least as i recall.

Target on 378 on the outskirts of Columbia, SC had a couple clearance games today. First time I've stopped in there in over a year, since they never had any good games at good prices, but today picked up:

Guitar Hero 5 Wii (for my supervisor who wanted to jump on Amazon DotD and it sold out last week or so): 9.99
Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader 360: 4.9something (5 bucks)
Burnout Paradise Platinum Hits 360 (since my HDD is full so I can't dl patches for my original copy and this has patch 1.8 on it with motorcycles) 13.9something (14 bucks)

They had Alien vs Predator for PC for 15 bucks and Dark Void for PS3 for 20. Family Feud for Wii was 19.99 (too much I thought, I want it for the wife though). Had some cooking/Diner Dash type games for Wii and DS, along with MySims Racing for Wii, but didn't check the prices on those.

Well I went this week and they had cut Bayonetta :ps3: down to $14.98 and Naughty bear :ps3: to $24.98. I chose Bayonetta. They had some PSP games including Assasins Creed and Army of Two for $13.98 each. This was in Lynchburg, VA.
Is $14.xx the lowest Bayonetta will drop? Or will it drop one more?
I believe thats the 75% mark, so most likely thats the lowest. People have reported dropping into 85% or more before, but thats pretty rare, its usually gone at 75%
hmm.. i never find any of these deals at my local target, lol
look at the end of the isle that faces the back wall.

Okay, that's what I figure. They still have several copies at the 75% markdown and haven't sold any this week.

Saw some non-GH copies of MGS4 on clearance at a store near me. The bad news is they were only at 15% off of the original price ($41.98 I believe):cold::cold::cold:

I thought that might be a good find for people like me that would prefer to have a normal black label copy of the game in their collection until I saw the price...

I haven't seen any in the red cases. All I ever see at Walmarts, Targets, Best Buys is the clear cases or the clear cases with a red sticker on it (which peels right off). I am like you though, I prefer the black label. I've managed to avoid most of the red cases.

It just cracks me up that the Target clearance price is double that of MSRP on this game now...

I haven't found anything worth picking up at Target in almost a year. I see some games that I'd like to get but as of late they always start at 15% off and disappear before they get down in to CAG territory.

Oh I know. Ghostbusters retails for $20 now and when it hit clearance it was 15% off $30. Target doesn't make a lot of sense. And one of my stores still has a copy of Folklore on clearance for $30.

Saw Kane and Lynch 2 PC for $24.98. They probably just messed up and meant to clearance the first game. Yes, I am absolutely sure I saw this.

I am so damn glad my wife found that last copy of Borderlands for PC for $9.98!

After some minor troubleshooting to get it working w/ out crashing (my vid card literally had a dust bunny barrier blocking the heatsink!) it is incredibly fun & addicting!

Trust me, if I had the spare cash I would have bought at least one. I just can't justify even one $50 game purchase right now...

Saw lots today.
Alpha Protocol:$41 XBOX 360
The Orange Box:$14 XBOX And PS3

Assassin's Creed Bloodlines. $10 PSP
Burnout Paradise $14 XBOX 360
