Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

ElHoardo1.jpg

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Wow dude way to be a douche.

You're all forgetting the feeling when you find a game stashed behind something that someone else hid or the staff by accident put in the wrong place.

Why not just save yourself another 13 bucks and shove it down your pants and run out the door?

Is everybody gonna piss and moan about someone stashing shit again I mean come on. Yeah it sucks but he's just like you he want's to get games for cheap if he has to put it somewhere so some other guy doesn't come along and buy it who cares the store still sells it. I mean what if the next guy to walk in sees and turns around and sells it for a profit at least a gamer bought a great game. Why do these boards constantly turn into flamewars. People stash shit get over it. Most of the time and employee finds it and returns it to where it belongs.

If people choose to do such things it's their business, but as many here have learned, this isn't the place to brag/talk about doing so. It just won't end well. It never does.

Tomorrow better have some price drops being reported in this thread, otherwise we're going to be derailed by the non-debate on whether the stashers are retards violating the ethics of CAG.

The store takes a bigger loss; what if someone would've bought at the 30% mark?

Part of the clearance hunt at Target is sort of the thrill of the hunt. Stashing is sort of like dropping deer food all over the forest, then walking right up to Bambi, blowing its brains out, and bragging to your friends what an awesome (deal) hunter you are.

While it may not be illegal, it falls deep in the "if you're going to do it, don't expect a big hearty pat on the back for it" category. And if the right Target employee catches you stashing you might have some explaining to do while you're escorted from the store.

My store didn't have any videogame drops today -_-
Well at least from the backroom.

But there were a ton of Haier portable TVs.

I also saw the PS3 move console bundles in the cardboard boxes as I was doing the price changes. Our store has about 9.

I sincerely want to apologize to any CAG's offended in my last post, please know that by posting my intent was not to look for a pat on the back or brag, but only wanted to alert fellow CAG's to good price drops on a good game & a not so good game. I understand the communities frowning upon stashing, which was best described by Justin42 who I think deserves a big congrats for a response which was well worded and concise. However I'm OK with the stash because I don't have a ton of money and have to make due with what I can pick up on the cheap. I also took a look at the profiles of the people who didn't care for my last post and as far as I can tell no one is from the South Jersey area, (I didn't steal your find.)
I want the community to know that I will take the anti stash philosophy under advisement, and I want to thank the CAG'ers who stood up for me including Justsultan, Gboon, & Bartboy. Thank you for responses that were more than I'm a thief and a douche. The CAG community has been one that I've thought as very helpful and mature and I'm looking forward to successful clearance hunts for us all. :)

Here's my opinion on stashing.

If you are stashing a game in hopes that it will drop to a lower price, you are incredibly cheap and selfish. You obviously don't want the game that much... nor do you want anyone else to have it. This sounds like the type of activity 14-year-olds participate in.

If you're stashing the game because you don't have enough cash at the moment, perhaps you shouldn't be buying games... or shopping at all for that matter. Let's face it, if you don't have enough money to buy a $14.xx clearance game, you should try to reevaluate your finances and/or profession.

I live within 10 minutes of THREE Targets. Each of the three Targets have been bone dry on PS3 clearance titles for over four months. They have tons of 360, Wii, DS, and PSP games on clearance, but absolutely zero PS3.

So I must be dealing with a stasher, hoarder, or an insider.

I guess the only thing left to do is visit each of these Targets multiple times each day. However, in doing so, I'll be labeling myself as "that guy."

"Then one of the judges of the city stood forth and said, “Speak to us of Crime and Punishment.”

And he answered saying:

It is when your spirit goes wandering upon the wind,

That you, alone and unguarded, commit a wrong unto others and therefore unto yourself.

And for that wrong committed must you knock and wait a while unheeded at the gate of the blessed.

Like the ocean is your god-self;

It remains for ever undefiled.

And like the ether it lifts but the winged.

Even like the sun is your god-self;

It knows not the ways of the mole nor seeks it the holes of the serpent.

But your god-self does not dwell alone in your being.

Much in you is still man, and much in you is not yet man,

But a shapeless pygmy that walks asleep in the mist searching for its own awakening.

And of the man in you would I now speak.

For it is he and not your god-self nor the pygmy in the mist, that knows crime and the punishment of crime.

Oftentimes have I heard you speak of one who commits a wrong as though he were not one of you, but a stranger unto you and an intruder upon your world.

But I say that even as the holy and the righteous cannot rise beyond the highest which is in each one of you,

So the wicked and the weak cannot fall lower than the lowest which is in you also.

And as a single leaf turns not yellow but with the silent knowledge of the whole tree,

So the wrong-doer cannot do wrong without the hidden will of you all.

Like a procession you walk together towards your god-self.

You are the way and the wayfarers.

And when one of you falls down he falls for those behind him, a caution against the stumbling stone.

Ay, and he falls for those ahead of him, who though faster and surer of foot, yet removed not the stumbling stone.

And this also, though the word lie heavy upon your hearts:

The murdered is not unaccountable for his own murder,

And the robbed is not blameless in being robbed.

The righteous is not innocent of the deeds of the wicked,

And the white-handed is not clean in the doings of the felon.

Yea, the guilty is oftentimes the victim of the injured,

And still more often the condemned is the burden-bearer for the guiltless and unblamed.

You cannot separate the just from the unjust and the good from the wicked;

For they stand together before the face of the sun even as the black thread and the white are woven together.

And when the black thread breaks, the weaver shall look into the whole cloth, and he shall examine the loom also.

If any of you would bring judgment the unfaithful wife,

Let him also weight the heart of her husband in scales, and measure his soul with measurements.

And let him who would lash the offender look unto the spirit of the offended.

And if any of you would punish in the name of righteousness and lay the axe unto the evil tree, let him see to its roots;

And verily he will find the roots of the good and the bad, the fruitful and the fruitless, all entwined together in the silent heart of the earth.

And you judges who would be just,

What judgment pronounce you upon him who though honest in the flesh yet is a thief in spirit?

What penalty lay you upon him who slays in the flesh yet is himself slain in the spirit?

And how prosecute you him who in action is a deceiver and an oppressor,

Yet who also is aggrieved and outraged?

And how shall you punish those whose remorse is already greater than their misdeeds?

Is not remorse the justice which is administered by that very law which you would fain serve?

Yet you cannot lay remorse upon the innocent nor lift it from the heart of the guilty.

Unbidden shall it call in the night, that men may wake and gaze upon themselves.

And you who would understand justice, how shall you unless you look upon all deeds in the fullness of light?

Only then shall you know that the erect and the fallen are but one man standing in twilight between the night of his pygmy-self and the day of his god-self,

And that the corner-stone of the temple is not higher than the lowest stone in its foundation.

Come on man, spoilers.

Nothing good at the target here. Went after class and only saw Dark Void for 360 for $20.
Naughty Bear still ringing up at $49.99, Still waiting on this one to go to about $10 or less and I'll grab a copy.

Parma OH (yesterday) had:
1 x Dark Void PS3 for $20.xx
2 x Burnout Paradise PH 360 for $13.xx or $14.xx
Something else I can't remember right now.

They had some Wii and PSP titles, but I don't pay attention to those.

I fixed that for you.

Just returned from Target... and let me announce that I have lost all faith.

Other than Dark Void (PS3) for an unfathomable $24.xx, I witnessed quite possibly the worst clearance item EVER.

Sony CASSETTE Walkman - $29.xx

Of course YMMV... but I suggest taking a left at Hell.

Create your own mix tapes!

my stores clearance has exploded. tons of games. i picked up fairytale fights for 10. there are about 30 princess dating sims for 5 bucks but imo thats still too much.

I can understand why somone would want to stash, lets say hoarder comes along 5 minutes later and buys all the clearanced items to flip, then a real gamer misses out on a game they wanted but maybe couldn't afford at that moment. There are many factors you have to put into the scenario before you flame somone for stashing. This is my opinion anyway.

^^This^^ and please do not post about this stupid "habit" ever again.. of course you were bragging... but I would venture a bit immature also ... just keep controversial details to yourself and avoid trying to justify an action that cannot be justified.

No new drops this morning but some decent deals on "college" dorm type furniture (desks, lamps , tv stands, bedding...)
If you can't afford a game at that moment.... wait for it... wait for it... YOU DON'T BUY IT.

Why would the chances of keeping a game from El Hoardo be any different from keeping a game from a "real gamer"?

I'm pretty sure the people who can't find clearance games at Target are really happy that they can't find em but hey, at least it's going to a "Real gamer."

Stashers are losers. There's no two ways about it. Like someone else said, if you can't afford a game and must stash it, it's time to reevaluate your priorities or your finances.
Picked up a copy of PC Bioshock 2 for $14.98. Couldn't wait for another drop since it was the last one.
I saw that today and I was like :bomb:...but then again I did get a smashed up box(only the slip cover was damaged) of the CE/LE of the game with the bonuses so I guess all that for 19.99 wasn't so bad after all. STill wondering what the hell to do with the record!!!:bomb:

Think about it from the workers point of view who has to straighten up this shit. As someone who use to work for them 8 years ago, I would have to see this all the time when closing...not fun to find someone's empty starbucks drink or bag from BK next to a nicely folded towel. Some people are just too damn lazy to find a trash can.:bomb:

I sold it on ebay for $25

Oh wow my local target had 15 copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy for $13.98. I hid 14 copies for myself through out the store for price drops and left 1 copy out so someone could buy one, didn't want to be greedy.;) BTW I was just kidding don't want to get hanged up in here.

I did find two copies of bayonetta for :ps3: for $14.98. picked one up after trying the demo.
Nothing else but shovelware besides those two.

All I wanted was PES 2010 for $4.98, which apparently my new competition at my main Target wanted too. Checked at 9, and they didn't get there yet, and by 11 they still didn't get to it, but it was gone. Weird because it sat for 2 weeks at $9.98. I did manage a mega blox Halo Wars figure for $2.48 that was out of the system. My kid loves the red one I got a month earlier for the same price.

Are you sure MPT for $14?? How much was the discount? 75%??

Although it pales in comparison to the regular clearance events from a year or two ago, I'm seeing a decent clearance selection at my local Targets as well. Other than a few DS titles, most everything else is appearing in ones or twos (no stacks of one title). Prices are in line with what others are reporting, with no amazing deals here (such as MPT). Borderlands :pc: for $10 is at nearly every store. Dawn of War II for $15 was also tempting.

Fingers crossed that we continue to get a few nice clearance titles from time to time.

My target had a bunch of DS games, and a Brutal Legend (360). Not much else was interesting...

I read a few pages back that Oblivion (360) was put on clearance. Anyone else find this?

I missed a couple of games the last time I went. Saw:

:pc: Borderlands - $9.98
:pc: Prototype - $19.98
:pc: Bioshock 1 - $13.98

What a fantastic price on Borderlands. Although if you wanted to get the DLC, it's $10 a pop and you have to buy it from Gearbox's site directly, and it never goes on sale there whereas it's been on sale on Steam before. If you're looking into getting the DLC, you might want to wait for a good sale or clearance price on the upcoming Borderlands Ultimate/GotY edition. That way, you're getting everything.

Will go back tomorrow morning after work and report any changes.

I'm not sure if the STEAM DLC would work or not as there is no way to add a retail copy of Borderlands to STEAM seeing that it has no serial # tied to it. I could be wrong though.

Borderlands is like crack to me right now! LMAO...how did I not play this game until now? The art style, game play, & humor are all amazing. I think about it while I'm @ work wondering what lies beyond that next quest...wondering what kick ass weapon I'm gonna find next...what kind of bad ass baddies I'm gonna come across next.

I'm playing through it was a soldier right now, but on my next play through will probably play as Lilith.

That's what I was saying. It won't. If you have a retail copy and you want the DLC, you have to buy from Gearbox directly at $10 each. If you have a Steam copy, you can basically wait for the DLC to go on sale since it has before.

Picked up the giant pool for $50 down from $200. Saw PoP Forgotten Sands for $14, I passed. Tons of PC games for $10-15 (Borderlands, K&L, Princess Frog, Vampire something, etc.). Saw TW 2010 for $15 as well.

Did walk out with Marvel Superhero Squad figures though at regular price, I love those things.
