Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
Also, I know this doesn't necessarily belong in this thread, but I picked up a brand new copy of Bioshock 2 LE for PC at Best Buy for $20 clearanced! :D I'm not sure if this is something that all the Best Buy's are doing? as I only was at the one. Just a heads up though to anyone to keep their eyes open.
That Special Edition has been on clearance for awhile now.
Picked up naughty bear for 12.48... I had to walk around for a bit because I dont think its worth 12.48.
I saw one too, still seemed way to much to pay for that game, I don't think I could bring myself to buy it even at $4.98 if it lasts until then.

Wish I could find Naughty Bear for $12.XX on the 360 version. All I've seen worth noting in San Francisco, CA Targets have been Borderlands and Bioshock 2 PC for $9.XX.

On a family vacation in Va and had to stop by a couple Targets to see how clearance is working out here.the only thing I saw worthwhile was a Orange Box for 13.98 .This was a couple of days ago so I'm hopeing something new will be there.

There are some pretty good prices on some of those titles, would love to pick up inFAMOUS for $14.98, it was still $20.98 when I checked yesterday, maybe I'll go back tomorrow and have another look see.

Stopped at several targets south of the twin cities today:
All 360 unless otherwise stated.

saw the following at all 3 stores:
Prince of Persia: 13.98
Dead Rising 13.98
Burnout Paradise 13.98
Rainbow Six 2 13.98
Alpha Protocol 41.98 (this just went on clearance here so hopefully drops soon)

And at the various stores I saw:
Ghost Busters (ps3) 7.48
Infamous (ps3) 20.xx
Green Day RockBand (ps3) 34.xx
Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 4.98
Star Wars Clone Wars 13.98
Where the Wild Things Are 13.98

I also saw TONS of the WD 320 gig portable HDs today, ranging from 40-48. I'm hoping I can cop one of these for super cheap sooner or later.

Last bit, every target I went to today had stuff marked as clearance both in the normal end-caps and in the aisles themselves. One store actually didn't even have the end caps having only the normal display stuff with red stickers.

Saw tons of Phantom Hourglass copies at my local store for $8.74. There were 3 rows of the game, stacked all the way to the back of the case, plus copies stacked on top of the rows. Crazy.
phanton_hourglass.jpg

Saw today

Bioshock PC $4.98
Bioshock 2 PC $9.98
Borderlands PC $9.98

If I didn't already have these I would have gotten them. I did pick up;
Family Feud 2010 Wii $19.98

My girl has been asking or this one for a bit so I bit as it was the last one. After playing it though I wish I had got it for $10. Fun for a little while but gets old quick.

Ok I must be missing something. What exactly are end-caps?Anyhow I'm going thru withdraws.I'm on vacation and the target out here has nada so far. Before I left I was able to grab Punchout -16.48,and 2 Your in the movies @ 4.98 each(where Oss but electronics guy was cool )and a couple of naughty bears out of 20 copies for 12.48(ps3). There's a damn ps3 BIoshock Se that continues to haunt me back home in CO and I come to Va and it continues to @ 69.99.Will the damn thing every drop?both copies I see are beat to hell so why doesn't Target drop them?anyone shed some light?
Ok I must be missing something. What exactly are end-caps?
End-caps are the shelves/displays at then ends or beginings of the rows. Random image I found online, but here's an example.

Wow, you are lucky! All my local Targets only seem to have 2-3 copies on clearance at each store. I was hoping to get a copy for that price, but I doubt that will happen

That might be the stash of Zeldas that sounds like its making its rounds thru the Target chain. Someone had a similar pic a few weeks ago sayin the same thing :)

I just wish that stack would head here so i could grab one at that price. Still 24.98 here as of yesterday, and ive only seen 1 copy out of 4 stores :(

^ I already got a copy for the little sister, but damn, I'd love to have one for myself at that price. Just about every store around here has 5 copies max and at four times the price.

Phantom Hourglass is still $24 here, too. Heh.

Was hoping to find Metro 2033 for $12, but is still $24 (and only one copy left).

No other price drops to speak off. All the usual games are there (Bioshock 2, Borderlands, etc) for the same prices they were the last few weeks.

What state is this in if you don't mind me asking? Would like to pick up Resident Evil 5 Gold :ps3:for around that price.

Bayonetta :ps3: $7.57...picked up last 2 copies. There is no way I could pass up this deal even though I don't own a PS3. I played the demo back in Jan/Feb & loved it.

Hit me up on PM if you wanna trade for my 2nd copy.

Nice! How did it drop further than $14.98 tho? Thats 75%. Unfortunetely my Target sold out at $29.98, but i was lucky enough to grab one for $7.50 from the last BBV B1G1. Played through it, definitely a decent game, and i had no technical issues whatsoever. (PS3)

I'm not really sure TBH. It was still stickered @ 29.98, so that might be why it was still sticking around.

Some NCF items I noticed today were the Mario & Luigi Bowsers Inside Story bundle for $149.99. For it being a DSi, that's a nice deal.

Also the Toy Story DSi bundle was the same price marked as NCF.

If either of them stick around to even 30% off, I might have to pick one up. They had 3 or 4 of each.

No more large purchases for me until I work some more overtime!

Balls, went to my Target and no price drops. And there's only ONE copy of Metro 2033 (PC) left at $24.98. REALLY hoping it'll still be there when it drops to $10ish.

My Target tonight:

:ps3: NFS Underground $13.XX
:ps3: Assassin's Creed (Greatest Hits version) $13.XX
:ps3: Lego Rock Band $9.XX
:ps3: Alpha Protocol $20.XX
:ps3: Green Day Rock Band $34.XX
:wii: Band Hero (full kit) $125.XX

There were a bunch of other games, but those are the only prices I can remember. I almost picked up Assassin's Creed, but I decided to pass and buy Sonic Adventure when I got home instead.

I picked up the last two clearanced copies at my local Target (Hudson, WI) for $12.48 each. Surprised they have not discounted them further at that store. Did you scan them or have a clerk scan them to confirm final price?
Went to Target today and spotted a SC2 CE. I thought I hit the jackpot, but I checked the price and it was $99.99 :(.
Hmm, weird. I thought they had clearanced all of those down to $49.99..

I got the Fallout Trilogy for $3.98. Last one, I couldn't not buy it even with my backlog. Borrowed it to a buddy.

Saw Mirror's Edge (PS3) at Walmart for $5. (no WM clearance thread?)

There's a Walmart clearance thread but it gets pushed down to page 3 or further as it isn't used much.

I scanned all the ones I was interested in and they were still at the marked price. I'll check back on Tuesday morning and see if it drops.
