Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

"You just got...EL HOARDO'D!" __________________

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Unrelated, bought the portable turntable at 50% off ($36.xx). Might actually listen to my Bioshock vinyl now.
I've been stalking that turntable since it hit clearance and I'm hoping to snag it once it hits 75%. Some stores in the area have a lot of them so my hopes are high.

I saw Clubhouse Games (DS) for $4.98, which is a really good deal, and Brutal Legend (360) for $14.98(?) in the clearance bin at my Target. I did get Super Street Fighter IV (360) for $19.99 and damaged the case by accidentally leaving it on top of my car. Thankfully, the disc seems to be fine. :)

:wii: Red Steel 2 (Game only) - $7.xx
:ps3: Alpha Protocol - $14.xx

I picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition for $29.99. It was in the wrong spot, so they gave it to me for that price.

I've been tracking it for the same reason (Bio vinyl), but I've got a long way to go as it's still holding at 30% discount

Imagine games for DS (too many to bother with)

I ended up buying AP, DV (both PS3) and Avatar. Had enough fun with DV before so I'll give it another go.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma2 has disappeared at the 34.98 price. So much for getting that at 75% off.

EDIT: don't know how I forgot but there was also Jillian Michaels fitness for 4.98

Checked another store when we went out grocery shopping.

:ps3: Buzz! Quiz World with 4 Buzzers - $14.98

Bioshock 2 CE disappeared at the only target near me that had it.

At the other target near me though they are started to recognize me looking at clearance, even telling me what was marked down, although nothing good.
My wife just called to say she scored me a copy of Alpha Protocol :360: for $14.98. w00t!
I would prefer $7.48 but I'm surprised it made it past the 50% off mark around here. I'm guessing it wouldn't last at $15.
14.98 was as low as Alpha Protocol was going. Thats 75% off....good thing you got it now if you wanted it.

Went to pick up a Sony blu-ray home theater system for 50% off today, and found out it dropped this morning to 75% and sold for $125. :(

Probably nothing special, but these were new drops that caught my eye today:
:ps3: Army of Two: 40th Day $9.98
:psp: Army of Two: 40th Day $7.48
:psp: Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands $4.98

Alpha Protocol PC (12.98), PS3 (14.98)
Kane & Lynch 2 PC (12.98)
Burnout: Paradise City 360 (4.98)
Splinter Cell: Conviction PC (12.98)

Finally! Been waiting for drops on AP and K&L2. Curiously, there was little of what had been there for weeks. The word must be out. Only one 7" TV left (still $32.xx). I suspect someone had already come through and gotten the 9.98 or less items, except for two conspicuous copies of Burnout Paradise City for $4.98. Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma was still $34.98. Previously, there had been copies of Wolfenstein PC (9.98), Prototype PC (7.48), and Alien vs Predator PC (9.98), but all were gone. I wonder if they didn't hit 7.48 (or less) and someone got them before I got there. If so, that might explain why the greater than 9.99 PC games remained (AP, K&L2).

Anyways, nice deals. Looks like this'll be the end of the Target awesome clearance for a while as I haven't seen any new games be added since Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma a few weeks ago. I wasn't going to get Burnout Paradise City for a console again, but when it's $4.98, I figure it's a lot like a rental... except you never take it back.

I was able to pick up Alpha Protocol $12.98 PC, The Orange Box Xbox 360 $4.98, and Burnout Paradise Platinum Hits Xbox 360 $4.98. They had two copies of Kane & Lynch 2
and Splinter Cell: Conviction PC for $12.98. Everything else was mostly picked through. In regards to these 7" TVs, I saw my place had like 30 of them at $32.XX.

I don't think so about the Wolfenstein and AVP PC games because my place had at least 4 copies of one and 2 of the other, almost stopping by each day. Not really sure what happened to them because I was going to pick a copy of each up, but wanted to wait for one more price drop.
When does target usually update thier clearence games prices?
C'mon, CAG Vet-- it's in the 1st post, like the 4th real sentence...

Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team.

Only for the PS3 version, since it came out a year after the PC/360 versions.

Picked up Green Day Rock Band (PS3) for 12.48 and I saw Alpha Protocol (PS3) for 14.98, but I already bought it from Gamefly. Would Prototype be a good buy if it hits 7.48?

I think that $7.48 makes most games good buy's so long as you get even a couple hours worth of amusement out of them.

Not with Naughty Bear =(

oh yeah not clearance price but I saw LBP GOTY for 24.99 and 2010 FIFA WC (PS3, 360) for 29.99 as a temporary price cuts

Did you see if Green Day RB was on clearance for 360 as well? I've been chomping at the bit waiting for that game to price drop.
Was there ever DLC for Bioshock 1?
There was a Tonics/potion DLC pack which also had a few more achievements. I think was free. I have it, just never got around to using it though I plan to get to it one of these days

My local stores only had the PS3 version clearanced. I even punched in the DPCI for the 360 version, but still regular price:cry:

From the reviews Prototype looked like a flawed but still fun mix of Crackdown and Infamous... I'd say it's worth $8, if it's that low at my Target it's a pick up. Also if the Borderlands DLC drops to below $10 it's a pick up too. If both have dropped I may be in trouble!

I think Prototype is a good buy at 12.48. I paid $20 and definitely enjoyed it. Though i would love to find Green Day RB for 360 for that cheap too just to import it into my massive RB library.

Items sometimes make it past 75% off but it's up to the Price Change Team Leader. Items can either go to Salvage or if they think it will sell, they'll drop the price lower. How do I know this? I was on the Price Change Team some years ago.

How many years ago? ;)

Because I thought they changed this policy a while back. I used to find items at 90% off all the time (not games, mostly holiday stuff) 6-7 years ago. But lately the lowest anything goes is 75% off. After that, it's pulled. Every time.

Grabbed :pc: Alpha Protocol for $12.48, I can live with an average but interesting game for that price. They also had 2 more copies of that, 1 each of K&L2 and Conviction, and 1 Wolfenstein (9.98).

And OT, I got my copy of Kirby's Epic Yarn while I was out! Cuteness overload time!

Prototype is a solid game. I just finished it. Solid gameplay. Decent but predictable storyline. It was a bit repetitive, and it had alot of cool powers that I dont think I ever ended up needing or using. There were a few decent boss battles.

The one issue I had with it is it seemed the difficulty would fluctuate. I'd breeze through a few missions then find myself dying over and over. Then I'd breeeze through more missions and then hit another rough patch. It was odd and at some points frustrating.

Overall, Id definitely pay 12.48 or 7.48 for it.

Bought Lego Rock Band (PS3) for $4.98 in SE Michigan.

I read there is a "super easy non-fail" type mode. Figured it could be a fun one to play with my 4 year old.

was this on clearance or price drop?

I was able to snag a copy of Alpha Protocol at the Urbandale, IA Target for 14.98

Also saw the following

Dark Void PS3 - 7.48
Green Day Rock Band PS3 - 12.48
Tekken 5 PS3 - 20.98
NBA Live 10 PS3 - 20.98

Picked up Army of Two: 40th Day(PSP)$7.48, a couple of Orange Box copies(360)$4.98, an Avatar spongy staff for $3.74, and an add ton of Converse tees at $3.24 each.

also Picked up Army of Two: 40th Day(PSP)$7.48, and dark void ps3 7.48, had the Bioshock2 LE still at 48, want that to drop next week hopefully.

Got Alpha protocol and Dark void. Didn't see much else worth getting. They sadly didn't have a ps3 copy of saboteur but had like 6 for the 360. My store also had 2 Bioshock 2 LE fpr $44. I'm torn between waiting for next week to see if it drops further or grabbing it now to make sure I get one. :/ Any thoughts on if it would be worth it to snag it now or should I chance waiting?

Still tons on clearance here at my Target. Picked up a few PC games at $13.

I noticed a few weeks ago that a TON of Reach regular and limited editions were pulled off the shelves and put into a shopping cart by an employee. I wonder where they went...

Anyone else see this at their local Target? Clearance soon, maybe?

I checked another Target close to where I live and they have around 8 copies each of Bioshock 2 and Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II PC for $3.48.

Man, that is a steal for two great games! Hope you picked them up.

There is no WAY target will be having a clearance on reach this soon...you probably saw a display of the game being taken down to make room for a more recent release to go up.

Anyway, today I was able to pick up:
The Orange Box (360) 4.98
Where the Wild Things Are (360) 4.98
Tom Clancy's Hawx (360) 7.48

I went to two different stores and each had a ton of MX vs ATV Reflex for the PS3 on clearance for 13.98. I would love to pick this game up at the 5 or 10 dollar range if the 360 version is on clearance too. Anyone seen it for the 360?

Hmm, not sure. there were three or four stacks of games in the cart - maybe 30-40 or so. Strange.

Picked up Bioshock 2 (PC) for $7.50 and Red Faction: Guerilla (PC) for $4.50.
Also saw Avatar:the movie:the game(360) for $7.50 and Alpha Protocol(ps3/360) for $14.50. Decided to pass on those though since I dont really want either of them and it would just go in my ever growing backlog anyway.

Went to two other stores today.

One had the usual stuff already reported and I was able to get Burnout Paradise for 4.98
iconxbox360.gif
. This store also got Tony Hawk Shred, only one copy. Completely forgot it was coming out and there it was all by its lonesome.

The other store provided a nice surprise. Found Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles for 9.98

Funny thing was that it was in the game case instead of being in the clearance aisle. There was NO clearance tag on the box or shelf and the shelf tag didn't have the NCF tag. I pretty much did a double-take thinking I misread the tag. It got me to recheck all the aisles to see if I missed any other hidden deals that were in plain sight:)
