Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city and state. For example:
Debbie Does Skywalker, Xbox 360, $4.98
Mesa, AZ Power Road at Superstition Springs

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Data ,Milk.com , or UPC Database and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in gold are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell
No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.
There is no WAY target will be having a clearance on reach this soon...you probably saw a display of the game being taken down to make room for a more recent release to go up.
This sounds very likely. Two or three weeks ago I overheard a couple of employees talking about the Reach endcap display facing the main aisle. One was telling the other that he took the initiative to put all of it out (the huge LE, t-shirts, controllers, etc) because it was just sitting in the stockroom being ignored and the endcap had nothing planned at the time.

Stores probably received new planograms for that section and are just moving the Reach stuff to another area.

:hot::hot::hot: You are too lucky! Did you buy a lottery ticket after visiting Target?!

I picked up :ps3: Green Day Rockband for $12.48.

I saw the following:
:ps3: :360: Alpha Protocol $14.xx
:ps3: Lego Rock Band $4.xx
:ps3: Avatar $20.xx
:ps3: Band Hero (sw only) $27.xx
:ps3: GH: Van Halen $34.xx
:360: Borderlands Add on $10.xx
:psp: Army of Two the 40th Day $7.xx
:psp: Star Wars: Battlefront Elite Squadron $7.xx

I stopped by the Short Pump Target in Richmond, VA today. I will try to recite what I can from memory. Overall, it's pretty poor. I swear they do clearances WAY after everyone else, and never mark anything down far. Here's the list:

:ps3: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 $34.98 (only 1 copy)
:ps3: Borderlands $20.98
:ps3: Tekken 6 $20.98 (seriously...)
:ps3: :wii: Guitar Hero 5 w/ Guitar $62.98
:360: Brutal Legend $13.98

I'm sure there were more, but as you can see, it's a total crapfest. Not only are they far behind on markdowns, I promise you that no more than 1 of those titles will see another price drop. Any other Richmond CAGs know what Targets have better clearances? The only one I've seen that had decent clearance is in Chester and that's where I got the limited edition Beatles Rock Band complete set for $33.
was this on clearance or price drop?
Clearance, they had stickers on them and were in their "clearance" section. I noticed that the Xbox version of RE5 gold was still noticeably more..

Finally figured out why there are not many good clearance games at one of the few Target stores I hit. Saw a Craigslist ad for the area that Target is in......and the El Hoardo bastard is selling pretty much every pc, ps3, ds, etc. game that's been clearanced over the past few months.

It appears his pricing is:

$4.98 games he sells for $8
$7.48 games he sells for $10
$9.98 games he sells for $12

He has around 30-40 listed.

El Hoardo is a douche.

What a great mark-up : 2 dollars over cost? Factor in time and gas and he's not making any profit. A clever businessman!

I saw a couple of copies of Prince of Persia last week for $9.98. I wanted one, but now have forgotten what store I saw them at. Pity, since it probably hit 4.98 Monday. Damn my sorry memory... and damn you Target, for putting like 10 stores around me...

One of my local stores has 3 or so Burnout Paradise at 4.98 still, after I picked up one last week. I have yet to open mine (damn you, CAG for my eternal backlog).

I live right outside Pittsburgh and have the same issue... Too many to pick from. I have even hid a copy of a game before waiting for a price drop and then forgot where I put the game/which location I hid it at.

Well, my Target refused to drop the price of the Borderlands DLC, been 10.98 for almost a month now. Bought the Zombie Island DLC on LIVE since it's only 400pts this week, might get the Armory too not sure. Better deal anyway IMO since the disc that Target has contains one good one (Zombie) and one "eh" one (the Riotdome or whatever)...now for less I can get the two better ones.

Yeah, because you know, those that buy games on clearance and resell them are usually on some type of welfare

No, Mr. sensitive, I was just making light of the fact of all the games he was selling were for like a $2 profit. Makes no sense.

Oh that was yours? I took it back to the electronics cashier and told him "some asshole hid this." He thanked me and gave me 10% off my order.

I got Smackdown v Raw 2010 for PSP, $4.98. There were several copies left at Irvine Spectrum Target. Also, Nestle Quik shirt $2.48.
I think Target clearance shirts now make up fully half of my t shirt "collection".

Anyone have any Metro 2033 around them? A store here did but it was never in the clearance area, it was just on the shelf with the tag, but it never dipped below $20 and it's not around anymore.

Where the Wild Things Are on 360 hit $4.98 in Towson MD location with about 3 or 4 copies left, they also have a few Brutal Legends at $13.98 that I'm hoping will drop and can get my hands on one.

Wow. A+! So funny I cant stop laughing. I am so bloody sad that I didnt get me a copy of Brutal Legend for 9.98 with that BIG 10% off.

WTF.... some old guy bought a display model ( desk) and went to load it in his truck and found bayonetta in the drawer. urgggggggg i been trying to find a copy . he went back inside to return it and i followed but they will not sell it to me because it was out of system.

Last week there was at least 40 of the 7" TV's in the clearance section, This week theres maybe 10... I wonder if they actually sold that many or if they pulled them for space as they took up the whole endcap :p

If your dying to know... Just ask an employee. If you get a decent one they can scan the item and tell you how many they have in stock.

I'm jealous over RB:GD and the Dante Inferno finds. The 3 targets I've been to in the PNW don't even have them on clearance. Target hates the NW.

The did have allot of the Brutal Legends 360.

I bought one of those for $35 last week. They're pretty nifty. Great for testing out older consoles considering my tv is mounted on my wall and is a bitch to hook anything up to it now. Original msrp was $130 so $35 is just about 75% off, which is as low as they go typically, so they most likely pulled them off the shelves and donated them to goodwill. It only picks up 5 channels though and 4 of them are spanish channels.

Typically, if there's something on clearance that you're interested in and it's over 50% off, pick it up because it's most likely not going to go any lower and they'll end up donating it.

Your forgetting to add in tax! :)

Just went to Target in Irvine today: Saw a bunch of clearance DS games, nothing spectacular, like "Petz" and those types of games.

Saw Xbox 360 games like Sega Tennis: 9.98, and a few other greatest hits titles ( I don't recall the names of them)

PS3 Games : Batman Arkham Asylum 20.98, Borderlands 20.98, as well as Rainbow 6 vegas, and a few other PS3 titles I don't recall the names of.

Surprised they had that many, since most Targets I go to don't have much in the clearance section!

Happened to be near a Target I don't visit so went in to see what I could find.

Found the following on clearance:

Super expensive HDMI cable
Budget PC games
Dissapointment:cry:

Glad this isn't one of my local stores

On the plus side, this store had the new Transformer shipment and I picked up a Soundwave and Megatron:bouncy:. By the way, when did it become necessary to have an engineering degree to transform a toy?

not sure it's going to go that low - probably $15 on console and $12 on pc.
waiting for Kane and Lynch 2 at 4.98!
I know I could go onto metacritic or some game site and look at scores, but I thought I would ask the most in-the-know people I know. I'm in for Bioshock 2 if I can get one when it goes down to 25ish, but does anyone think it's worth it to get lego rock band for 4.98 and bayonetta for 14.98? I heard the PS3 version was buggy. Wait for another price drop?

Today I picked up Borderlands Double Game Add-on Pack for 360 for 7.48. I really was waiting for 75% off (3.75) but I was sure it would not last until then. Does anyone know if this add-on disc can be installed onto multiple xboxes?

Now to find a good deal on Borderlands for 360...
:hot::hot::hot: You are too lucky! Did you buy a lottery ticket after visiting Target?!

I picked up :ps3: Green Day Rockband for $12.48.

I saw the following:
:ps3: :360: Alpha Protocol $14.xx
:ps3: Lego Rock Band $4.xx
:ps3: Avatar $20.xx
:ps3: Band Hero (sw only) $27.xx
:ps3: GH: Van Halen $34.xx
:360: Borderlands Add on $10.xx
:psp: Army of Two the 40th Day $7.xx
:psp: Star Wars: Battlefront Elite Squadron $7.xx
Damn. Where do both of you live? In my area I'm lucky if stuff hits 30% off before it's snapped up by the fuckin' idiot soccer moms and other morons. Nothing EVER lasts to 75% off unless I find some El Stasho's cache.

But I guess to some $5-20 off a game is a great deal.

@IATCG, I'm in the SF Bay Area of CA. I'm pretty sure there are El Hoardos and CL flippers here. When I skip a week or two of Target clearance, I can check CL to figure out what clearance games I missed out on because those will be listed there :bomb:

I was curious so I checked another Target and saw the following:
:ps3: Borderlands (GH) $20.xx
:ps3: SF4 (GH and non-GH) $20.xx
:ps3: UFC something (GH) $20.xx
:ps3: Alpha Protocol $14.xx
:ps3: Prototype $20.xx
:ps3: Tekken 6 $20.xx
:ps3: BioShock 2 CE $49.xx
:ps3: MX vs ATV Reflex $13.xx

There were lots of :wii: and :ds: shovelware, too.

I highly doubt that IATCG will fly over here just to buy cheap Target games.
Where are you located? I just bought RE 5 @ GS during b1g1 for 31.xx ,VA never has good clearances
S Denver, CO area. Haven't seen this anywhere else even on clearance. Blew my mind as it's still 40 bucks on Amazon new.

The elusive El Hoardo and his sidekick, El Stasho, raiding your clearance and deals to rob the CAGs and give to themselves! Retailers, lock up your merch, the boys are on the prowl.
I picked up Bayonetta at 14.98. They've sufficiently patched the PS3 version
