Previous threads:

Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
$4.98
123-45-6789 Random Game Name #12345678

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself.

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks!

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

New link to search for items using Target's online item #:

You can also take the DPCI # and search on Target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there.

(HUGE PROPS TO mitch079 FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL INFO!!!)

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to BigDirty for that^

Regarding items posted in the OP:

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.

I am starting off this new thread going back to October 1st, 2012.
Please refer to the prior thread for any items before then.

THIS IS A WIKIFIED THREAD!!! IF YOU ARE ABLE TO, PLEASE UPDATE THE OP WHEN YOU REPORT DROPS USING THE APPROPRIATE FORMAT!!!

THANK YOU....

Ummm, its called being "Commatose".

Typically from a clinical standpoint it affects people who's toes are all shaped like comma's. I guess its inherited like video gaming.

This thread has gone wack from all of the spelling nazis coming out of the woodwork.

Deals, only. I, don't care, if, you use alot of commas, as long, as I find, the deal I am looking, for. Hell, I can deal with "over their" or "their in stock", or "there stockroom says they have 1 left". What I can't deal with is looking at this thread every other day and seeing a total lack of any exciting target deals.

I live for the target clearance section.

A lot.

In clearance at Target (Rochester NY):

PS/3 - Ace Combat Assault Horizon $20.98
PS/3 - Marvel Super Combat Squad $4.98
PS/3 - Assassins Creed Brotherhood $9.99 , ,, ,,, , ,,, ,

I was looking at some Targets for some Skylanders and found a Mass Effect 3 CE for X360 at $29.99. I thought I was going to have to ask for the last good price on that, but it came up in the system.

The one target I frequent still has duke nukem for 20.xx and thats the only game on clearance last I was there.

While part of me understands that FFA will be $10 or less sooner or later, it still bums me out that all my local Targets are completely out of copies.
[207 20 1111] Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified (PSVita) - $14.98
I would pick this game up at that price. Even tho I hear it terrible, it would be nice to have another FPS on the go.

I'm sorry, but how do I find out if my store has these games for the clearance price? I don't understand.

I've used it with little success. In my experience it's pretty unreliable. But if your Target isn't close, it might be worth a shot.
I would pick this game up at that price. Even tho I hear it terrible, it would be nice to have another FPS on the go.
I wouldn't. I heard it's not even with $5. Unless of course, you HAVE to get your CoD fix on the go.

I sold the 4 I bought from Target on eBay and Glyde for an average of $34.68 so it was worthwhile to me, even at 15 bones each. :D

It's not terrible. It's no worse than any other CoD game. Plays better than Resistance BS IMHO and certainly worth $15.

The store locator is only to find which store has stock, but even if it does have stock the reported clearance price is ymmv.

I came across an Uncharted 3 320GB PS3 Console bundle for $209.xx today. Location, Erie, PA...only one left. I would have grabbed it if I hadn't just bought the PS+ Amazon lightning deal a few weeks ago.

I scored a fucking sweet deal tonight at the East Liberty Target in Pittsburgh. I found a :ps3: Resident Evil 6 Anthology in one of the overflow endcaps marked at full price ($89.99). It didn't have any DCPI, Online item or Repackaged stickers on it. Luckily I decided to give it a scan and it came up at $26.98! 70% off! I'm guessing it hit the clearance cycle but whatever worker was marking games never updated it with the clearance stickers. It might be a wild goose chase for most of you but if you saw one of these in an endcap its worth a trip to give it a scan. Hopefully some other CAG's can find it. Here's a pic for proof.

EDIT: I'm a dope and forgot the DCPI is on the receipt. Its 207 24 0758 for :ps3: RE 6 Anthology.

I also found :psp: GTA Chinatown Wars for $5.99 at 70% off. DCPI is 207 20 0403

Hot damn, good find!

Yeah, I'm mad now that I even bought it on launch for 90 dollars for xbox 360 and still yet to open it. Doubt I can take it back where I got it from.

I.
Hate.
You.

I've always wanted this but won't pay the retail price. And I've never seen this in stores in ages.

I may be wrong, but considering the details page says it's an online only item, it unfortunately will probably be a very rare find.

Bastards.

A new mystery to contend with - the online stock checker tells me that R&C FFA is not sold at most of my local stores, and today I found a copy at every store I went to, all on clearance. Turns out the store dpci is different than the one online (despite starting with what I historically considered an in-store dpci 207-24).

I miss the old stock checker. Stupid online item number.

So, in store dpci = 207-24-1743, online dpci = 207-24-0540, correct online item # for stock checker is a mystery.

Wife scored 2 copies of Lollipop Chainsaw (360 one to keep, other for a friend) at the Cape Girardeau, MO store. Price was $11.98 each, no copies left.

DCPI from memory: 207 22 0704

Usually the first monday after Xmas has some decent stuff because of the online returns.

Found a M-270 Mobility 7" Android Tab for 20$ new. 99.99 list price. Online return. Couple other decent assorted deals.

Amazing Spiderman 3DS 7.98 only game deal I saw.

Found Tekken 6 Greatest Hits PS3 for $5.98 DPCI: 207-24-1706 On target's website Tekken 6 DPCI: 207-24-0305 There is a sticker over the UPC: 814349017236 I wonder if this is a leftover from Black Friday? There was a display of Greatest Hits for $20 if I remember correctly. Might be worth checking in the displays for more Greatest Hits with UPC stickers.

Got Transformers Dark of the Moon Autobots :ds: for $3.04. It's probably terrible but I'd pretty much buy any Target clearance game at that price.

Store by work had a few copies of :360: Singularity for $27 and a copy of :ps3: Rayman Origins for $13.

Didn't buy either.
It is. I got it for $11.98 today.
I mentioned that to the associate that assisted me and he said that clearance is not always the same across all Targets. Is that true? I guess I should just keep on watching it until they slap a sticker on it or move it to the clearance bin.

Yup. All Target clearance is YMMV (Your Merchant May Vary). It can also be very regional as to what you'll find and where, like the lucky SOB who found a Resident Evil 6 Anthology on clearance. :D

YMMV stands for "Your Mileage May Vary," actually - a petty issue to address, granted. :p

edit: Googled it for kicks. I guess some people like to shove whatever they want in for that first M, but Mileage is what I most commonly see or assume.

On topic, I want Lollipop Chainsaw at $11.98 :D But I saw no noteworthy drops at one Target in town this past Monday, so I didn't even bother going to the other. Hope it wasn't a mistake...

It is 100% mileage, since it accounts to both aspect of obtaining this deal.

The first part is finding the price, which could work with either meaning. However, the other part is finding stock, which is where the whole mileage concept comes from. Additionally the concept works in other contexts, like getting a deal that violates a companies policy. Like when Saints Row 3 CE was on sale at TRU, some people were able to get the match without any effort, where as had to deal with BB calling locations to see if they could find stock as per BB policy. The same goes for using a coupon with a price match, return rebuy or several other things that are bound to work if you try enough stores / locations.

Yeah, I actually requested him to look up the DPCI of RE6 Anthology too. No luck.
