Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, DCPI # and online item # in RED!!!​

DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. ​

DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI #'s or Online Item #'s that are not already in the OP-- thanks! ​

This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.​

If you are having trouble with the above search here are more detailed directions:​
Take the DPCI #s and search on target.com for an exact match and then use the store locator there. If there isn't an exact match, try googling Target and the DPCI #. For instance, on the 500 gb Seagate hard drive, it doesn't show up on the site. Google shows the online # as 13730271. Then, you can plug the online # in http://m.target.com/fiats/t- and put the online number after the - so the link would be: http://m.target.com/fiats/t-13730271. Hit enter, plug in your zip and it should work.​

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing in-store as often price tags will not be correct:​

1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts. ​

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store.​

Numbers in purple are DPCI #'s, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.​

Numbers in orange are online item #'s.​

It looks like the PS3 version has one thigh monitor and two arm band monitors, nothing for the ankle. I have the Wii one and it has one arm band and one thigh band and you use the wiimote in your right hand. PS3 looks to be different based on their website.
 
Haven't been following this thread much but I found 2 clearance video games today.

Sports Champions for PS3 $8.98
Little Deviants for Vita $9.98

Also online price matching for Target will end tomorrow.

Went by Target, the only thing they added was Beyblade: Metal Fusion for DS for $13.98. Other than that...nothing else new. NHL 2012 for PS3 and XB360 still haven't gone down yet. No luck on seeing any Marvel vs. Capcom 3 or Halo's in our area.

This is a stupid question but am I correct to assume that no sticker = no clearance? A few Metal Gear 3DS's made it to the clearance rack but price checked they all were $29.99

You can scan it but most likely that's the case.
 
Kind of off-topic, but what is Target's normal day for updating Toy clearance? They recently tagged a TON of toys at 30% (Pokemon toys included, so that's gaming related >.>)

If you really wanted this game I happened to see it at Toys R Us, also on clearance, for $14.98.

Holy shit, $105 off for repackaging? I'd say that's a deal. I don't want one but that does seem like a mighty fine price.
 
I must say you guys have a lot better Targets than I come in contact with I suppose, I never see any of these kind of deals. Most of the clearance ECs consist of nothing but 30 copies of 1 game.

I've already decided that I'm going to build a PC instead of buying a WiiU but if I saw it at that price then I'd pick it up for sure.

Yeah I was joking but I've played it and it's a hard recommendation at that price, I would say $5 or less.
 
I remember ac3 collectors edition having a deep discount. Saw one behind the glass for each system at my local store. Anyone remember how clearenced they were or anything about it. Might take some cash an head over tomorrow.
 
Don't get your hopes up on the AC3. All the targets around me still have them, and many have told me they won't be clearance'd at all.

Just about every game will go clearance at some point at Target, especially ones that are big, bulky, and take up too much shelf space. On another note I saw the PS3 Holiday Bundle as a "Repackaged" for $140.01 and passed. Also found this:

Nothing new at my local store but the lone copy of SFxTekken for PS3 that was gone last week was back and rang up $8.98. :)
Also saw The Amazing Spider-Man for 3DS for $7.98 which I considered, but I didn't really enjoy the demo so I passed (I prefer the 2D Spider-Man games on handhelds).

However, my Target has an ever-growing endcap of games marked $19.99~29.99 with NCF tags (separate from the "value games" section) so I'm hoping they'll drop to clearance prices after the holidays.
 
Man I am so envious of you people finding SFxT for PS3. I have checked litterally every target in my area. For what I have spent in gas, I could have just bought it at gamestop and lost a lot less time and frustration..

From what I keep hearing, $10 is the most I should probably spend on it, considering there will more than likely be a ultimate super street fighter x mega soul blaze titanium iron fist tekken released next year, with all the DLC included, plus some extra characters. Seems to be a thing for Capcom.

I don't know why people keep going to a thousand Targets when all they have to do is find anyone with one of those scanner doo-hickeys and ask them to check all surrounding stores. ...For items that have a DPCI, at least.

The scanners/handhelds are never 100% accurate. If it says anything less than 2 on hand, you're likely SOL.

For their store, yes. However, when a price is reported a lot, it's rarely YMMV.

Price always seems to be a YMMV in the targets around my area. Just because it clearance at one target doesn't mean the same game will be clearanced at another. Sometimes stuff just seems to "pop up" as well.
 
Those scanners are rarely accurate for clearance items when I've tried them, usually just the shovelware they have lots of copies of.
