The Official Square/Enix Members Info Thread (Year 2012-13)

I guess it makes sense to ask about it, but I'm sure you get it all. Seeing as somewhere in the faqs I think it stated that you get all the lower tier prizes too as well. But I could be wrong though. Only thing that is stupid, is that there is no bronze member prize. Or if there is one, they forgot to mention what it is at least. They should just ship out a small little callender for bronze, that would make me happy at least.

EDIT: Something I'd like to see, is how the silver (I think) says its some sort of promo item, I'd hope to get the gamestop preorder bonus(es) to some of the stuff. I would love to get one of the ogre battle tarot decks. Never have been into physic readings or any of that junk, but I would be willing to learn it knowing that it was from a game, lol. For anyone that did get that deck, does it come with instructions for tarot card readings? Or more have to learn that elsewhere?

yes i meant ultimate. I had a bunch of codes but sold them. but it would be nice to have it for next year. Im already Rlite for Club Nintendo.

Can you use UK codes for an american account. I like to buy UK LE. Will I be able to use them on my account?

i was thinking the same thing. I have no interest in the game but would love to try my tarot reading skills with them
 
It's not the full tarot deck so its useless in getting started. I'd suggest just buying a full deck at a bookstore if you wanted to get into it.

from what I have learned is "No, you cannot use out of country codes" I bought the last remnant from amazon brand new, it said it was the M rated, but the 16+ came in the mail, so I sent it back and got refunded. So you can have an account over in the UK, but all the codes will only work over there..

If it's not the full deck then no thanks. I am into game junk and stuff like that, so I would be willing to waste a little bit of time to try it if it was from the game, but if its not the full deck then no. Don't believe in that junk anyways so no point going out and wasting money on it. Thanks for letting me know that much on it, not that anyone would be willing to part with a deck for codes anyways

You do realize that the Tarot cards are not from a game or anything. Each card represents a part of a story. They're not intended for fortune telling but some people do it. If anything, you should be trying to get that deck for the artwork. I don't believe in that fortune telling, but I still got a deck.
 
If those cards were part of the Silver promo items, that'd be pretty cool. I'd probably get something so I could display them. I know I'll probably hang my Lightning picture on the wall (unless it's made to be displayed on a table).

I wonder if the promo items will be for upcoming games or from past games released within the past few years.

Never heard of it that way, being part of a story I mean. Seeing as people do them as fortunes more than anything, seeing as I haven't seen anything to do with a story. Me and my wife went to a tarot card reader before, who (obviously) read our fortune and said a load of bs that wasn't that close to it at all.

On a side note, the funny thing about this tarot reader, everything she said was kinda said half assed. But what was veeery funny with it is this. About a year or two ago (shortly after giving our readings) there was a huge news story about the tarot card reader. It dealt with causing loads of people to buy her tons of things. One of the things I can remember was that she got someone to buy her a brand new car. The car was supposed to be something she could use to drive away the evils amongst the person she did the reading on.

I have no clue how someone could of fallen for that crap that heavily, but regardless it did, and she was found to be a fraud (when is any fortune telling not be be fraud if you have to buy way into it) and not too sure what happened from that point. Maybe had to return loads of cash to people, or jail, or maybe just stop reading.

I agree, I really hope that the cards will be a promo item. I would love to get them as part of something like that. I was given a fling smash stuffed animal by a manager at a gamestop just to help make my kid stop crying. If you don't know, fling smash was some nintendo game. Still have the stuffed animal thing, its kinda dumb but not bad for getting something for free really

Also, I kinda agree with the artwork, I hope it comes with its own packaging. I know there is the pic of the artwork already, but I couldn't see no frame with it if it did have one. Just gotta hope for the best I guess.

probably not. I think I've read posts before where people have friends over there that collect the prizes for them. So you can either make a friend over there, or just try and set up your address over here and see what happens
 
I didn't even know that EU members were eligible to receive prizes...

Last year and didn't, and there has been no mention this year either. Has there?
 
For "other" benefits on the website. It gives you a higher member standing on your profile, it allows you to use some avatar items that are exclusive to certain ranked members (there's a bunch more in foreign versions, ours just has a couple of bronze junk; least the non-limited ones), and supposedly a discount from the square enix store in the JPN version.
 
I would love to get a discount, that would be good to me, make all this cheaper in the long run.

I have a question for anyone who might be able to answer this. I want to get the Final Fantasy 7 on my psp. I had to download some program to do it, so I did. Whenever on I'm on the playstation network site I click the "download to psp" button. Then when I do that it opens the store on that program I had to download. But then it says somthing like, couldn't find or can't load the store..

I might be wrong on the wording exactly but close enough. Does anyone know why this is? Should i do it at a friends house instead, or is it just that the playstation network is so messed up right now? Thanks for any advice on it guys
 
thats what a friend was telling me. So once it is bac up and running that downloaded thing called "Media Go" should be up and running then I take it?
 
Yeah. You can take a few more games too. I hear Sony is giving away a few games in apology for the downtime, among other reasons.

what is bs about it though, is how the PSN is still down, and from what my friend said, that the games are only available for a month, how do we get them if its gonna be down? Or are they gonna extend it even longer once its finally open?

Does anyone go to the trading forum? I haven't been asked for any codes before, not that they are in high demand after seeing year 2 rewards. But I do have some for trade.
 
Once the PS Store is back up, then the games will be free for a month. The month the games are free won't start until PS Store is up & running again.

Also, if I don't get a response from S-E this week (seriously, they said 2 days & it's been a week), I'm gonna contact them again.
 
ahh I see. I'm sure we do seeing as it stated it last year. I just need to look at the FAQ's page and try to find where it said it, I'll then post the link on here. Not sure when I'll have the time to do it, but will try though..

thanks for clearing that up, so its once its up and running we can get the games.. I want to order the Final Fantasy 7 for my PSP but it doesn't load the store correctly. Not sure if thats with it being messed up, or just I need to do it at someone else's house

Alright, FINALLY got a response from S-E about the Ultimate & Gold members getting lower tier prizes.

YES. It'll be just like last year. Ultimate Members will be getting the Silver, Gold, & Ultimate prize while Gold members will get the Silver and Gold prizes.

At least its like I thought. I know from the first year they did say you did get all the lower prizes, I just couldn't find the FAQ of it. At least you finally got the answer to clear it up though. I just hope that the promo item thing is gonna be alright, but seeing as it is for silver, most likely not. Would be cool if it was excess gamestop preorder bonuses. That way I would get that tactics ogre deck but I'd assume otherwise though.
 
Yeah they all do now. Only ones that won't (From what I think) is the steam games or others like that. I don't think buying the downloadable copy of dissidia will get you a code
 
on the members page, they now have a line up of upcoming games. Here is a quick look at it, who knows if more will be added (hopefully).

Dead Island sometime this year and it comes out on ps3, 360, pc
Deus EX: Human Revolution is August 23rd and its on ps3, 360, pc
Dungeon Siege 3 maybe on June 21st (but could be delayed) for ps3, 360, pc
Final Fantasy 13-2 is this winter and for ps3, 360

so those are the ones for this year, there were more mentioned but they were for 2012.
 
I have a code for Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection (PSP) that I'm not going to use. If anyone has any Club Nintendo codes they don't need, shoot me a PM and let's swap!

if anyone owns the guide to pokemon black/white and doesn't want it anymore. I'd gladly give them several codes for it. Just got the game today, don't know evolution junk for any of these new ones. So pretty much, not gonna let me grass guy evolve for awhile.. But anyways, got the guide, I want, got codes for it =D

I more like actually owning the guides though, so I will continue trying to get it. If the games are two different guides, I need the black version then

The guides aren't Black and White versions. There's Volume 1, that covers the game up to the E4, more or less. Then there's Volume 2 that's an extensive pokedex (which is still lacking compared to Serebii.net) and post-game guide that covers things available after the E4.

go figure, just a way they can make more money. Just like what they did with Heartgold and Soulsilver. Made a volume 1 and 2. Well if anyone bought either one of them then, and end up getting done with them, or once they penny out and have luck getting them. I'd be glad to trade several codes each for them. Possibly less depending on if you have most already. Unless you want to make more accounts or have codes for other accounts. Junk like that
 
This should interest a few folks around here. Gamestop's PowerUp Rewards is allowing you to pick up the Tactic Ogre Decks as a reward soon. They'll be up for 3300points.

Granted, that was the price of the "Other M Art Portfolio" but now it's 4750, or some junk like that.
