Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Then they'll be put back on the shelf to be rebought, and the same applies. That will give both the resellers and players a chance to get the games again. In effect, just a reset if there's returns.
 
I hit a Target that had one UN3 CE at the 48 price point but it wasnt in the clearance section and it wasnt marked for clearance. It was sitting on the bottom shelf of where the ps3 game section was.

Hope the member I alerted to it was able to go get it.

I am not sure about the PS3 version for EA Sports Active 2. I have the Wii version of Sports Active 2 and you only need the wii mote and it comes with two strap on monitors for heart rate etc. I like it.

I know there's a thread here for the EA Sports NFL active system for Wii that is similar to EA SA2 in that it has the two wireless monitors and you don't need the nunchuck. It was going for $10 at Walmart.com
 
hah found a SS bundle for $40. Showed limited stock in my local store even though earlier in the week it showed none.

Went out at opening this morning and it wasn't put out so searched all over for a hidden stash. Finally got the bright idea to ask CS. She looked through her return bins and said nope. I then described what the box looked like with the gold leafing look.

She perked up and said she knows what I am talking about and walks over to a corner and pulls it out from under the CS shelving saying "Like This?".

Someone had written a note on it saying it was his and he would be back later to get it. I asked about the holding policy for clearance items and she said " You know... you are right." and rings it up.

Man I wanted this bundle as I have owned every Zelda game that I know has been released (yes even the crappy one that was made by an outside company). I am not sure why though because I enjoy Zelda games, but I would rather play other RPGs more. Just think it was because I grew up with my family fighting over Zelda on NES and the times we had playing it.

Besides 2 of my wiimotes broke so I needed one anyway.

Back when I worked at Best Buy, several corporate managers came in and bought cartloads of Wiis, iPads, small HDTVs, etc. to give out to their employees.

Clearance seems to have dried up in my area for the time being.
The only thing of interest I've seen/picked up is "You Don't Know Jack" for DS for $8.98.
 
Scored the Uncharted 3 Collector's Edition for $49.99 at Minneapolis Target on Stinson (aka The Quarry). 1 more left hidden at back of bottom shelf.

I was half-mindedly following this thread this week and went out to check if my store had a copy of U3 CE, but I wasn't expecting anything since they usually never have any good stuff. But, lo and behold, I found not one, but three copies siting under the clearance section. Bought only one, so if people are close to the Northglenn target in CO, here's your chance.

Wouldn't have checked target today if not for the original poster, so whoever you are, mighty thanks are headed your way
 
all my target stores have 10%-40% off all clearance items... all the xbox 360 and ps3 games are cleaned out... all thats left are random wii and ds games. and cassette players
 
the only thing I found worth while at my target was L.A. Noir for $11.xx

was hoping for a random collectors edition like U3 but no such luck.

Arrived 5 min too late, saw a guy holding and eyeing Uncharted 3 LE, and eventually taking it away. Not sure how much it dropped, but now I know its unavailable here =(
 
I just got the uncharted 3 LE for $49.99, I'm also on the fence if I should keep it or return it. I have the regular Uncharted 3 copy sealed, if I can sell that off on Craigslist for $50, I'll keep it. Got 90 days lol.
 
I was able to return-and-rebuy my PS3 copy of Naruto Shippuden: UNS2 at a nearby Target today with my mom's help. Unfortunately they had fixed the "false" $7.48 price I saw the last time I entered its DPCI to the widely-reported $11.98 price. Saving an additional $8 is still pretty sweet. :D

Might go try to see if I can snag one. If so I'll trade in my other version

When the clerk scanned the item, I believe it displayed $12x.xx. I'm not 100% sure. I didn't even have to fight for the override. The lady came over, looked at it and changed the price.

Did the price sticker say Clearance or Repackage? I have found some decent electronics lately including a Kindle 3G, but they have all been labeled as Repackage.

Wife found Okamiden for $8.98. Woot woot! We drove to Texas this week, stopping in 3-4 targets, then she found it 3 miles from our house. Was stoked :)

To semi-confirm this, I saw some sort of Bose headphones starting the clearance cycle at my local Target the day before last. Didn't catch the model, but I'll double check next time I'm in. What you're describing sounds the same as I what I saw, and mine were definitely clearance, not repackage.

I show up yesterday, and can't find a single one. After a bit of looking I ask someone if they can look it up for me, to see if they actually have any in stock. The little scanner tells us that there are 6. This guy and I actually peered around the electronics section, but to no avail. Anyone have any experience with something like this happening?

I don't have experience with this, but from reading on here this usually happens when employees hide them in the back so they can purchase them.

I just walked in on Tuesday to see the new releases and always check clearance. Three were out, all spiderwrapped and banged up.

This has happened to me a few times, and then once I even asked an employee like you. In fact I asked two, the CS at the front and a person stocking in the back. And yes, more than likely it's when an employee is hiding one to buy later. It could also be another customer hiding one too, but if it's saying 6 in stock it's probably employees.

So basically there's no hope of me getting one lol? I'm dying to get the game + I don't have wii motion plus. Getting it at a discount would only be a huge plus to me lol.
