Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Last minute gift ideas. Knew someone with a Kindle and my Target was sold out too. They never went on clearance, it's just Christmas.
 
Not a single game in sight in my clearance area. It's been overtaken by all those damn t-shirts. The worst thing is, they got rid of the boxes so it's now just a whole bunch of unfolded shirts. I don't understand why they just don't put these in the clothing clearance section.

I actually try to get mine @ speedway. 1000 bonus points for every three purchased (I don't purchase any now that game sharing is dead) and 20, 000 points can be redeemed for a $20 card. So in simpler words, bout once a year I get a free $20 card from speedway

I've seen those, but these are music ones. Mainly Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, Wiz Khalifa, and a few others.

I saw the $19 sign for the PSN cards, but got charged $20. Didn't notice it till I was in the parking lot, and by that time it wasn't a big enough deal to go back.
 
I haven't seen much good lately, but Disney's Bolt is regular price down to $10. It's a good, simple game for the kids (or cheap/easy achievements, ha!).

Ouch, that's even worse that they'd advertise it but not bother to change it in the system.
 
I'm really surprised that nobody has posted anything today. I went in today and it was a clearance restock miracle. Tons of stuff went on clearance, most at 30% some straight to 50% and others even higher. Crazy thing was most stuff was newer titles. Here's what I remember of note, but there were many others.

Skyrim and probably even Halo CE would have to be a mistake there's no way that should be on clearance. Kinda like the whole Dragon Age GOTY version that hit clearance immediately.

They were marked correctly as I thought the same thing, but their barcodes indeed showed the correct game at the clearance price when I tried them at the self scanners.

I just meant a mistake that they were put on clearance in the first place...not mistakenly priced. Hard to explain unless you experienced the Dragon Age debacle.

None of the stuff I found was actually in the typical clearance section, that was pretty bare, all the games were in the plastic prisons.

All clearance games is GONE. Almost Everything is SOLD OUT at my local tagret stores! I don't think i will see any clearance games after 2nd weeks of next year!
 
It seems like Target took down the video games clearance to make room for bigger and better selling electronics items over the Christmas rush. Makes sense. No need to freak out. Video game clearance will be back in no time. This always happens every year and CAGs always freak out.
 
No electronics to be found at my local Target, its been filled with various Christmas items. Did pick up some random candy and Christmas related goods like giftwrap though

Just opened the UC3 Collector's edition I picked up for $49.98...real nice stuff however THERE WAS NO DISC in the steelbook! WTF! Everything was all sealed up, the steelbook was sealed and the stickers to seal the outisde box were not broken...now what the fuck do I do??????

Same thing happened to me with the Deus Ex Augmented Edition for the :360: . The game disc was not included. Luckily, I purchased it from Amazon. I did not have any problems getting a new copy.
 
Take it back and tell them what happened. You'll at least get your money back, but I doubt they will have a replacement for you.

I bought a clearance 5 speaker surround receiver last year. Waited about a month to open it, and when I did it was a broken dvd/vcr recorder spraypainted black.

Had to wait for Loss Prevention to investigate but we got our money back. I bet with a game you'll get an instant return, my item was $150 on clearance so they were a little more skeptical.
 
It seems the CEs are the items that are always missing contents. I also purchased the AC Brotherhood CE from BB and it did not have a JIB key or DLC. I was able to get the DLC from Ubisoft. I just had to send them a copy of my receipt and a picture of the BB Officer DLC sheet. However, I was unable to get a key. So, I just picked the lock open and that is the way it will remain.

It's got to be hard for the people doing returns to check for everything (they could just pull up the item on Amazon and see what it's supposed to come with but I digress.) A lot of times these sets are returned and it doesn't look like they've been opened, so they don't even check to make sure all of it is there.

Like I said earlier, the seals on the outer box and the wrapping on the steelbook were not compromised, they just forgot to include the freaking disc.

This happens at my stores all the time. I get excited when I see a CE, but then it has been opened and I know the dlc has been poached. Black ops was the last one I saw like that.

Perhaps. The seals on my stereo looked uncompromised too but it was opened somehow.

I guess it does happen that things get shipped without the discs, but it's much more likely imo that someone removed the disc without you being able to tell. They usually weigh that stuff in the processing plant and would be able to tell if a case was packaged w/o a disc.

I don't trust seals, if they can counterfeit money they can counterfeit or bypass any seal anyone can come up with.

Tried these, and they all came up higher. Especially the Reach LE. That thing was 49.99 at mine.

Also found a Halo 3 ODST in the plastic prison, but it rang up as 19.99. Cruel day. Cruel day.

Why don't you try contacting Naughty Dog directly and tell them? If your copy was missing the disc, chances are others were missing it as well. It might be a known problem.
 
Man, 3 of the 4 stores here were absolutely cleaned out of clearance. Just a few random ipod cases and some other random non gaming stuff.
 
I, unlike others, seem to have booming clearance section. Has anyone noticed how the clearance stickers changed? They used to be a red with an amount but now then are white with a black typed price.
 
The clearance section at the Target I went to had almost nothing. They had simply stuck the clearance stickers on the games and kept them in the prisons.

Did notice Halo Anniversary had already gone on clearance. I grabbed a copy now, since I'm sure as soon as it gets taken to the endcaps, it'll be swiped.

When I went to Target, all that was left was Guitar Hero PS3 (game only), one more of that shooter for 3DS and many Pokemon DS cases.

^This. +1 I think they pull a lot of the clearance games and store them in the back room until after the holidays. I did pick up another set of the Bose Heaphones tonight. I found a Target that had 4 pair last week for $125.96. There was only 1 pair left tonight, but it was $53.98. This is the 2nd set I was able to pick up at that price. My girlfriend was with me when I got the 1st set, and she immediately claimed them as her Christmas present. The original set I picked up was marked repackage. This set is marked clearance.
 
Well, no electronics clearance at the few stores I hit.

Did get a couple random finds in other clearance sections. Picked up a couple of BPA free water bottles for $3.58 each, two different 500 piece puzzles at $2 and a Beaver golf club cover for $4.98

Now if they would put those golf club sets on clearance. They have sold squat in the past year that I've checked
 
Mine had 2 de blob 2's for xbox $6 and 1 trackmania for wii $9. There was also a de blob 2 for ds but the sticker was half torn off. Rest was crap. Even the grey's anatomy season 3 for $6 seemed like crap.
 
Saw about 20 copies of Hunted: Demon's Forge for PS3 clearanced for $9.88 (or $9.98 - not sure) at my Target. I forgot to get the DPCI # (or whatever it is). Sorry and good luck!
 
Massive amount of games in the clearance rack - still none of them on clearance. They are all regular price games that have been moved off of their normal shelves.
 
I went to Target and noticed the vanilla version of L.A. Noire being advertised as the complete edition. I knew the game had been on clearance a few weeks ago, so I asked for a price check. Picked it up for $11.98 and bought the season pass for 50% off on XBL. Awesome.
