Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Local Target here in Winston-Salem no longer has a clearance section in electronics. The whole department seems to have been wiped out over Xmas.

This morning, I did find a pack of 16 AAA batteries marked down from 7.99 to 2.39. Attached was a 1.00 off coupon. So, I got 16 batteries for a buck fifty.
 
My local target's clearance section for electronics seems to have disappeared as well. I walked over to the books/movies area and found a new clearance endcap that hadn't been there before with some non electronic junk but also saw a couple of Wii shovelware games as well. Wonder if it just relocated.

This post gave me pause; my girlfriend bought me "Fortune Street" for Christmas, and she said that she got it at Target for $35 because it had a clearance tag which priced it as such... even though when scanned, it came up as $49.99 (the cashier honored the sticker's listed price). I'd say this was an extreme YMMV, but apparently there are a few cases of it.

Yeah, clearance has been wiped out in most of the Dallas area as well. The upshot is that Mt. Dew Code Red 12 packs are on sale pretty cheap.

you can buy the dlc version with fruit ninja for 10-15 bucks of ebay, theres usually a bunch up b/c it comes with that kinect bundle.

Alright was able to get transformers wfc :ps3: for 70% off $11.98.:D Had a red sticker with $19.98 but scanned item not found. Thanks to the knowledge obtained thru my fellow CAGers I asked an employee with a handgun scanner if he could check the last price of the game and it said $11.98. I asked him if I would be able to buy it for that price and he said it shouldn't be a problem. He took me to the front and after he explained to the manager that the last price was $11.98 he rang it up for me. Too bad target started to faze out 75% off or I could have saved a little more but glad to get it at this price vs $19.98. Love CAG.;)
 
I saw a copy of the epic mickey special edition for 30 bucks at the montgomeryville (PA) target. I wasn't really interested and I have to assume that this is extremely ymmv, but I forgot the DCPI. Figured someone might want to know though.

That and BBY has give them away at times. I got one just for walking into a Midnight Sale.

but I found one of the Genesis controllers with 12 built in games (including Sonic 1 and 2) that hooks directly to the tv for $10

It was 50% off in the toy isle, there is a lot of good toy clearance right now to check out. I'm most excited to check out Sonic Spindash as I've never owned that game.

At the FM 518 @ Hwy 288 location in Pearland TX I saw

I just bought Shrek from elsewhere after Christmas to play with my son. It's actually kind of fun for a platformer w/ a few rpg touches.
 
The best clearance item I could find in 3 Targets today in Tucson was Kane and Lynch 2 for $4.98. There was a Tony Hawk: Shred for $40.XX and I nearly laughed out loud at the price.

Yeah that's it. I knew spindash didn't sound quite right. Columns, Altered Beast and a handful of other games are also on the stick.

edit: the controller is shaped like an original fat genesis controller with six face buttons, too bad they didn't use the actual 6 button form factor.

My local Walmart had a clearance section with similar deals. DJ Hero(1), originally 120 now 90! Woo!
 
I picked up Pacman Party 3D at my local for $12.xx.

Also at a different Target, I saw Duke Nukem for $14.xx, as well as Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland for $34.xx and Fortune Street for $34.xx. I passed on those since I already had them, but I'm surprised Kirby and Street are already on clearance since they came out in October and December.

Targets in San Diego (well just the 3 of them that I've been to) don't seem to have electronic clearance sections anymore (college ave, convoy and MV).

I noticed that the few Targets in the Northern RI/Southern MA area (and one in Central PA) did not have any clearance areas...wonder if they got wiped out during the holidays?
 
More likely the stuff is in the back somewhere waiting for a huge return in a few weeks.

Went looking for those sega things and didn't find any. They had a bunch of toys at 30% off, but nothing interesting to me.
 
Dropped by Target today on my way home, games are still non-existent but some kindle covers have popped up in the clearance section.

If those airbeds are normally ~$20-$30, don't expect them to last too long without springing a leak. But at that price, I guess they can be disposable.

Also saw a few reader covers, but they were for kobo and nooks, not the more popular kindles.
 
VG clearance is still a no-show. But did find some clearance stuff others might want in on.

First up, bought a My3d viewer for the iphone/ipod touch @ $5.98
I've only downloaded a couple of freebie apps for it. But I'm surprised that it does a decent job of creating a 3d image. The other app is based around AR views. It basically takes you on a flying tour over L.A. while you spin around looking at the scenery. Pretty much gimmicky and fun at the same time

I don't know if buying an expensive ones worth it. I have had two die. 1st one leaked. Second, way more expensive model, had one of the internal compartments seams pop. there was a huge bulge running across the thing. Kinda like a built in pillow but 1/3 the way down the matress - we tossed it.

I got one of the sport aerobeds a while back for $20 from Sears Clearance and it started leaking about a year or so later but I called Aerobed and it was still under warranty so I had to cut out the instructions on the side of the mattress and send it in to them (prolly to insure I wasn't lying and show that I no longer had the original mattress in working condition) and they sent me a replacement. Its been fine for 2 yrs now.

Don't know about these at TGT though, nor what the warranty is.

Any Christmas/Holiday/Channukah stuff has now reached the 90% off clearance in stores. Of course, the pickings are very slim at this point (if there are any pickings left at all), but I did manage to find a few of the Lego Harry Potter Holiday polybags for $.39. They had been mixed in with the regular $3.99 Lego polybags in the Lego aisle and at the front checkout lines.

I will get the DPCI later, left the receipt in the car...
