Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

They are really not all that rare. I have seen them around. TRU sells them both "in store" and online for MSRP $169.99. You got yours at the lowest it "should" go at Target so good find.

I ended up with 2 of them at the same price. I would never use a lite again for a ds game (stiill good for GBA tho) since I got my burgundy XL. My wife and daughter will be playing the two I bought. This means mine is ALL mine!

Is the LA Noire Complete Edition worth it? Right now, it's at $20 and I'm on the fence. If it dropped to $12, I'd easily pull the trigger. Thoughts?

I'm pretty sure I saw two of them at one of my targets a couple weeks ago for ~$120, on the clearance endcap with security wire around it. Passed because I didn't have a use for them, but seemed like a good price. So maybe they are making their rounds at a lot of targets.

Which Targets are you hitting? I managed to snag 2 of the controller bundles and found a bunch of games and vita stuff at the Westheimer/Lazy Hollow and Westheimer/Wilcrest stores.
 
Saw 6 copies of Dissidia Duodecim (PSP) at $5.98 today. Don't have a PSP though...
The men's clothing dept. had a few different styles of Nintendo t-shirts on clearance, all $2.98.

I found dsi black pokemon.. But it's 127.. Should I buy it and try to return at other store for price arrange.. But the other stores don't know the price when I called them since they have it oos tock

You don't even see them at your Target for $41? I saw bunch of them at the 41 mark last week.
 
Wow, so I couldn't find the clearance section this week. Not because the employees moved it from electronics end-cap to auto parts end-cap, but because the whole store is being remodeled. Literally full isles were moved and removed. To make room for...fresh produce stalls?

The affected Books/DVD/Bluray/Games isles are in the back of the store, also some checkout counters up front were gone now too. The normal video game cases old area is completely blank empty space, with a lone "Coming Soon" sign. They were moved to young kids barbie/transformer toys/games section. No idea where that section ended up now lol
 
I finally found out why i could never find clearanced games at the hadley, ma store after their remodel... the clearanced games are in the row in the cases with the normal
games...

I mainly hit the ones on the north side, like around 249 or Copperfield, but I might try those out, especially if I can find that Lumines or SFxT SE. Not thrilled about Capcom at the moment, but for the SE, I'll bite. Thanks for the tip!

You got a great deal, but the color isn't rare, and is still available everywhere. $170 is the MSRP on the DSi XL alone. You got the bundle with the MvDK game, which was a holiday bundle and is therefore significantly rarer, but it's not "limited edition" or anything since it's just a pink XL with a game you can buy anywhere.

I wouldn't hold onto it in the expectation the price will increase over time.

Anyway, on topic I hit up both my local Targets today and I found jack and squat at my closest one. I did however find some Uncharted/Dual Shock 3 bundles at the next closest one, but they were still at the fuckin' $42 price.

I was tempted to grab em all, even at that price, since it's still a hell of a deal for a controller(normally $54.99) and the Uncharted 1/2 bundle($39.99). It's basically like buying the game pack and getting the controller free.

If I bought em all though, I'd probably offer to break them up on CAG here for those who only wanted the controller or the game(s) from them.:D

They also had almost half a hanging hook of Madden 12(or whatever year is on clearance) for the PS3 for the $7.48 price at the second store.

Hope you price checked em, because I've found plenty of them sitting with that sticker price on them or none at all but ringing up much less. Just had A girl in the electronics section jaw drop when they rang up $21.98.

Yep. I had the guy in electronics check em for me. They were all locked up in the case or on magnetic peghook, so I couldn't take one to a scanner myself.

Best part is that the rest of them in the case were UNmarked, but the one on the peghook was clearly marked with a clearance sticker. It was at the opposite end of the aisle from the rest of them, so hopefully no one realizes those ones are more of the same one and buy em up before next time I hit there.;)

Even if for some reason the guy was lying to me and they were cheaper, I really don't want or need another controller, but if they drop to $30 next week or whenever then I'll grab a few most likely.

I finally found 5 of these in San Jose, but also at $42. Since I already have both games, it's like $45 after tax for the controller. I can get the one Dualshock3 color I don't have (white) on Amazon for that. Maybe I could make $15 on the Uncharted 2-pack after shipping and eBay fees, but that's not enough to turn me hoardo.

I went back to check something in the evening, and they had sold 2, so it doesn't look like they'll last.

Still waiting for Warhammer 40k at sub-$10 but they will probably sell out before they get that low...

no target doesn't watch that stuff, I work there also there is nothing they can do you purchased the item so you can do whatever you want.There is no policy at target for this so he is fine.
