Previous threads:
Target clearance is YMMV
Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction. Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 70% or 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price and DCPI # in RED!!!

For example:

:ps3:
Random Game $4.98 [123-45-6789]

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The website for locating clearance titles by their DPCI # is here: Find In Store

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

New link to search for items using Targets online item #: Find In Store

(HUGE PROPS TO aj slick FOR GETTING US THIS USEFUL TOOL!!!)

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

The Legend of EL HOARDO as told by Strell:

No cankle too big and no score too small,
The one and only EL HOARDO.

He'll steal your stash - gonna take it all,
That's the one - EL HOARDO.

He's gonna run down all the aisles
and snatch up all the loot,
And he's feeling really confident
in his nipple protection suit!

Awesome sideburns and a dapper mask
He's at your local store,
Gonna clean out everything
And then go back for more!

Who's the guy in the Star Trek shades?
He's the man they call EL HOARDO.

His boots are secretly roller blades,
There he goes! EL HOARDO!

He's got a cape and it's totally sweet,
A flash in red and white,
Calls his fanny pack his utility belt,
He's ready for a discount fight!

You'd never think he could run so fast,
With a gut of giant size,
Asks all the ladies if they'd like a ride
On his Starship Enterprise!

What's that sound comin' down the lane?
It can only be EL HOARDO.

His stubby legs are gonna bring the pain,
Brace yourselves - EL HOARDO!

He packs a sword, it's a replica,
Like Zorro in disguise,
Gonna leave an H scratched on the wall,
Then he'll move those ten ton thighs!

Knows all the price drops all the time,
Has inhalers to survive,
Lives in a basement at his parents house,
At the age of thirty five!

That's the one who got your penny guide,
The stallion called EL HOARDO.

He's got his Rascal parked outside,
That Man-of-Men EL HOARDO.

EL HOOOOOOOARDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

]

You just got...EL HOARDO'D!

Well fuck me, I went back for the $42.xx GoW/DS3 bundle. I had to stop back by while out with family anyway, and went to look at clearance one more time since I was there. Saw that last bundle sitting on the rack - and a $55 Dualshock 3 to the left of it, and a $40 copy of GoW Origins to the right of it. Figured it was a great deal, even if it won't hit ~$30, and took the plunge. $45 or so after tax. Not amazing; but still cheaper than an MSRP DS3, and I get a free copy of a still mildly-priced game out of the deal.
Probably already been posted, but picked up Portal 2 (360) for $8.98. :)
nice! hope i can find one.

No good clearance games in my local Target but a decent score in electronics and toys:

087-10-2041 Operation the Game: Star Wars Edition $9.98 (from $19.99)
087-06-2312 Transformers DOTM Leadfood w/ Sgt. Detour & Steeljaw Target Exclusive $8.98 (from $29.99)
080-00-1111 Logitech c510 HD Webcam $14.98 (from $49.99)
057-01-0655 Skullcandy HESH headphones $15.58 (from $51.99)

I picked up Alice madness returns for 8.98. There was one more uncharted bundle at 30 dollars but decided I really didn't need it
I'm so bad at remembering prices. Anyway scored it for $74.98! Electronics lady was very surprised!
What store did you get it at?
No game drops here, but I did pick up a 25 pack Dual Layer DVD+Rs for $10.48 [056-06-0801]Great for getting all that pron off your hard drive.

Also grabbed a Logitech Z305 laptop sound bar. $11.98 [080-00-1115] The sound is not bad, much better than the factory speakers on my HP.
Watch out for those DVD+Rs, I bought some too but they are NOT particularly great quality. I have a feeling if you don't try to burn them at full speed they'll be ok.

I'll use them mostly for backups of stuff I don't care about, quick burns of stuff needing more than a single layer, etc... it's a great deal for dual layer but I sort of doubt they're great for long term.

I did buy a bunch of the Sony BD-REs, finally hit 70% off ($5.60? I think).. not a spectacular price, but I couldn't pass it up for made in Japan Sony discs, those tend to be very, VERY good quality.

Also found a lot of other clearance got pushed down to 70% off across the 2 Targets I went to-- the HP printer (which got HORRIBLE reviews in general on Amazon) was $44.98 (still almost bought it but decided to save my money, I hate HP as a brand, horrible luck with their stuff) , various Memorex DVD products (lightscribe discs, the aforementioned DVD+R DLs, etc), etc.

Picked up a :ps3: NCAA Football for $11.98, :psp: Harry Potter Years 1-4 for $4.98, :wii: Trackmania for $8.98...

Spent way too much today on "cheap" deals but almost all of it was stuff I had been watching and waiting to hit the 70%. Forgot to look for DSis, though. :(

I might head to the target with the limited availability before they open although I'm trying to decide if I really need it. I have a 3DS but its such a great deal.

Guess I'm not the only one to have gotten a Sony 8 GB Memory Stick for $14.98. I was surprised to find one for that price. The packaging is different than a 2 GB one so I was wondering if it was authentic, but I got it anyway.

Also picked up a Hesh Skullcandy headphones for $15.58. The design is damn ugly, but if it works I don't really care. Does anybody know if they're noise-cancelling? I don't really want them if they can't cancel noise.
Watch out for those DVD+Rs, I bought some too but they are NOT particularly great quality. I have a feeling if you don't try to burn them at full speed they'll be ok.
I've always used nothing but Sony and Memorex CD and DVD media and never had an issue with either, even burning at full speed.
yes, it's on clearance for $84.98 plus taxes. I have target red card that's why i paid $87.xx after taxes ;)
DPCI for that 3DS bundle?!!
Thanks! Dang. None around me.
It was posted up on SD around 5 in the afternoon yesterday, with 1000+ views in that thread. It's probably too late for most to get in on it even if there store did had stock. I managed to grab one and that pokemon black dsi bundle.

And, no one posted it here.

I made the rounds today looking for a $30 Dualshock 3 bundle. No luck. They're disappearing at $42. I was carrying the barcode, so I see that they didn't get marked down before disappearing. Maybe it's worth the hassle of eBaying the game...

The WK-200 keyboards sold at $99. I was hoping to get one at $50. A Magnavox 46" LCD TV at $300? I've been looking for a decent 40" at that price, but I suppose a crappy 46" would do.

I found 3 Pokemon DSi black bundles @$75. Damn! I didn't have the money to get them all so I got none. If they're still there on Wed. I'll grab 'em.

Oh, finally got Driver SF for PS3. I've seen a ton for xbox - not as many as PS3 NCAA11, of course. The one thing I bought, at 11.98. RDR GOTY PS3 is still $40 everywhere, and LA Noire Complete PS3 is still $30.

Last anomaly, since I've been waiting so long. BF2 Bad Company UE still seems to be in back storeroom in almost every SF Bay store, still holding strong at $40. I still can't figure out why some titles don't get displayed. That stuff depreciates fast. The online pass inside expired last Aug, so EA can screw themselves, but I was just wondering why it never clearanced.

I found a 2009 version HR Block tax software, in a beat-up box, marked As-Is, for $30.48. Yup, they really do exist!! Just gotta laugh at the absurdity.

Also, the cheap First-Act brand electric guitar dropped to 70% off, $29.98. Great price if you want a cheap starter-guitar to fool around with, maybe to go along with a copy of Rocksmith.

tons of electronic stuff on clearance. from surge protectors to ipad cases to headphones and crap pc games. did take home a nice pair of skullcandy headphones and some surge protectors. did also see those ipad suction controllers. not sure how they work or if they work, so i passed.
Time to hit up the other local Target today n see if they dropped those Uncharted controller bundles to $30 each.;)
If they have extra can you pick one up for me & i'll buy it from ya?
Pink 3DS Bundle $84.98 DPCI 207-01-0104
Also Call me dumb, but after reading the 1st OP post about searching the DPCI, I still can't figure it out, when I follow the link it just asks for my zip without asking for my DPCI number, help?
:whistle2:#

IGN isn't the greatest (unbiased) review site. Not saying it isn't a good game, but that site is questionable...

On topic, went to 3 targets this afternoon and nothing had dropped. seems to be a theme occuring here.
Well, it has an 87 on metacritic.

I went to two targets today that both showed stock of the pink 3DS bundle but neither of them could locate it.

So frustrating. But I figured clearance items may not be the most accurate on their tracker.

Car drama response
LOL in terms of the car drama I'll simply say I do find it humorous one guy is bashing the ES and in the same breath talking about his IS...simply laughable. Although the IS is no longer simply a Toyota Corolla with a Lexus emblem and $15K added to the price tag, the IS250 is the poor man's Lexus no doubt about it (the 350 is a nice step up though...but if you're in the market for an IS the IS350 F is where it's at).

Like your claim of your IS lil Romeo, it's my daily drive. It's a car, gets me from A to B and does it comfortably. I can afford to spend more, but it fits my needs and after test driving just about every car worthwhile, this was the best blend of features, power, reliability, comfort, and cost.

I and my wife have a few other rides, some a bit nicer and a few most wouldn't consider nicer (I like classics) all paid for and all paid for myself. I really like the LS, but it's a tad big for my taste (my finalists were the ES, LS, GS, and 7 series) - speaking of grannies, the LS is the Lexus model the grannies out here drive, guess the grannies in your neck of the woods just aren't as affluent.

And whoever bashed the 1 series has no clue. GREAT bang for the buck.

Or I could just say U mad bro? haterz gon hate and hoarderz gon hoard it's as simple as that.

That said, back to the topic at hand.

Someone mentioned the La Cienega Target having 15+ of the Uncharted DS3 bundles - they do, but the employee(s) in the electronics section are "storing" them in the cabinet under the registers at the electronics counter. One of the employees said they are saving them for themselves for the final drop to $19.98/$20.98/$21.98 or whatever it will be, although no doubt if you ask, they will hook you up with one or a couple.

If they want to be idiots about it, bring this to the attention of the store manager. It's against policy for employees to hide items for themselves, especially clearance items

Interesting, so I can't even see it if I don't know this info? Lame.

One of my stores shows a DSiXL bundle, so I'll go down there since I need to go to BB anyways for a price adjustment

I'd do this anyways. Should be fair game, a couple copies I might understand but 15+? I'd go buy one and straight up say something about it

The only way I found out about this is that I was there yesterday morning while the employees were doing the clearance price adjustments and saw them pulling all of the bundles off the shelves and moving them to that drawer under the cash register. Thus, I asked the employee about them and she straight out said they were putting them there so they could get them "probably next week" for less.

BTW she also checked nearby stores and noted the only other stores that indicate they have any were 12+ at North Hollywood and 3 at Burbank (although last week when I checked online the Uncharted bundles were available all over). No idea what price point they're currently at.

Thanks man, if you had a recording device at hand you probably could've blackmailed them:cool:
Tell an ETL or supervisor. Every copy will be on the sales floor within minutes.
I dunno, will probably take at least 20 minutes to coach and/or fire all of them. But after that, they will

 exactly!

This is grounds for dismissal in my book as it is costing the company ie stealing on their part...

wish I would have held off on buying the Pokemon black dsi bundle since I found a 3ds bundle now for 84.98.
would any of you highly recommend a 3ds over a dsi or is it more of the same?

A 3DS can pretty much do everything a DSi can and more.

I assume you already opened the DSi? If not, why not just purchase the 3DS bundle and return the DSi bundle?

oh it can even play standard ds games?
I may just have to grab it and sell my dsi then.
too bad I opened it, I hate dealing with CL.

I was the one who saw the bundles over the weekend, didn't expect any shady business though. Definitely would report that whenever I go back there. Wonder if that's what happened to their GoW bundles too.

So first on topic news...

Found a black dsi pokemon bundle @ the Hanover, MA Target, was the last one. Finally signed up for a redcard today, so it was 76$ or so. I also picked up a guitar stand for $4.75 or whatever after red card discount.

To off topic... Picked up my Prius C today, got 50mpg while racing home at 74-75 mph on the pike, and just did a 7 mile trip at 74.9 mpg. Loving my car, and gas really isn't an issue on deals for me now!

As long as you're going highway speeds gas mileage should be phenomenal. It's just when you go store to store, stop to stop that it'll start to suck. Believe me, from years of deal hunting I know this firsthand. It's not the trip to the first store that gobbles up the gas, it's going to multiple stores in stop n go traffic that doesi t.

On topic, I grabbed a buttload of Uncharted bundles today.;) None of them were marked and the ONLY one at this store that was marked last week was GONE today.:whistle2:# At least I beat the local game store owner to these deals.:)

Well with a Prius it's better to go 30-40 mph because you can utilize the battery more. Google pulse and glide, it's the best way to optimize mpg. If you're stopping at a lot of places for a few minutes only I would recommend leaving your car on since your engine runs for about a minute everything you turn the car on.

Personally, I'd argue that the DSi is the worst of the bunch. DSL/DSiXL/3DS all have desirable features not found on other models. The DSi, however, doesn't.

The DSi was just a stop gap for Nintendo to test out online distribution(DSi ware) before fully jumping in with the 3DS(eShop).
