Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Target near me in Fairfield NJ used to have two end caps exploding with games and dvd/blu-rays 2 weeks ago. I went in on Friday and there was nothing except like 2 Wii games and a handful of DS games(3 games with 10 copies each). Wonder what happened to em all?

I really want to pick up some good Wii games for cheap cheap cheap! And they used to have some decent ones there(didn't own a Wii at the time). Sucks :|

At least yours has games lol, mine never has games like darksiders or singularity in the clearance wall. Just some crayon kiddy garbage and coloring books with 10 million copys of create for 20 on the side. I don't consider 20 clearance price worthy to begin with. All of you guys are lucky with clearance bins :(

Some of the places they move the clearance stuff doesn't make any sense. They may be short on room... but moving it to a completely different department is retarded.

A while back they had netbooks on clearance and instead of putting them relatively close to the designated aisle for them, they moved them all the way over to where the GPS systems were (6-7 aisles over).:roll:

It's not uncommon for something to go on clearance, sell out, then suddenly be restocked at msrp a couple months later. I haven't ever seen something come back in stock at a clearance price (unless it was a return), although sometimes after it restocks at msrp it'll be reclearanced several months later. It's really weird.

Items can be clearanced but still be at a distribution center or lost somewhere in the warehouse. It is rare but items sometimes will show up, but usually it's a small quantity pretty early in the clearance schedule.

Your chances of finding a 75% off popular item showing up again are almost nil.

Yup. Target sometimes restocks clearance games (and toys). Clearanced games will be restocked when they are clearanced as part of post holiday stock that Target just wants to move off of its shelves. They will restock a game as a value title (like Ghostbusters Wii). And, they will restock a game if it gets added to a Platinum/Greatest Hits line.

Large retailers don't sell a game based on its name, but sell a game based on its SKU and based on what the distributor is pushing. If a SKU consistently sells, they keep it in stock. If it doesn't sell, they drop it. First party titles often get longer shelf time, as they are sold along with the consoles/handhelds, and sometimes are part of a larger marketing/advertising deal.

Of course, it was a mistake as it was supposed to come back at a budget price of thirty and they corrected it a couple days later. I think it happened with Uncharted and Prince of Persia a couple years back.

There was a store nearby last week which had PS3 NFS Undercover scanning and tagged at 9.98 and they had probably 30 copies. Went today and there were none.
 
Went to 3 Targets and found nothing worth noting on games but did find Dragon Ball Z Kai parts 4 and 5 on Bluray for 5.48 each so at least i didnt end up empty handed.

The BDs with slipcovers were $5 each? Where were these in the store??

Went to Target, earlier. Seems they're doing 50% off on a number of clearance items instead of the 75%,etc. Anywho, wrote down some of the things that I thought may be noteworthy. Not saying EVERYTHING was 50% off, but a number of things were.

From what ive seen the psn version of angry birds isnt great. That game was built for touch screen devices

Im a fan myself ( eventhough rovio with their growing ego is milking this ip cod style). I had all of the stages for the regular, seasons and rio editions completed but the seasons summer update on my phone fucked up my data and i had to install them again ! I was so mad

Yeah the ones with the slip cover and they where on the clearance endcap...lucked out because the where online items and as long as ive been on cag ive always heard about online items awesome prices but could never get lucky( reminds me of early highschool!)

I still play World Cup online. Such a good game. You only get the WC games every 4 years so their appeal lasts
 
I'd get Wii Play and an non-WiiMotion Wiimote for less than $13. If not, guess I could look at Gamestop for $10 Wii Play game only.

There was a Wii Play bundle at my local Target awhile back. I guess somebody jumped on it when it was 20-30% off or I just missed it when it dropped to 50%.
 
I dont think my Target had FIFA WC 2010 =/ but for 7 dollars, i would not mind grabbing it and getting FIFA 12 when it comes out
