Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

Much like the ASIN location website replace the DPCI # at the end of the URL...

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

About 2 months ago, I hid a copy of Wii Punch Out w/ Nunchucks behind some kid books, hoping that it'll get another drop. Anyway, I was surprised it was still there, so I took it to the price scanner, and it still rang up $34.98. LOL. I just threw it back to the clearance section.

Yeah I just want the improved/wireless drums too, well I need a new mic too mine crapped out (odd because I barely use it). Already have the game and I don't like the RB guitars so...

Best bet is probably Ebay or Amazon used. I remember a while ago (probably over a year ago) I found them on Ebay for $60 like-new. Not sure if it'll be harder or easier now.
 
Check a couple of other stores but still no new drops.

Did find another electronics clearance change. There's an RCA bookshelf stereo (iPod/CD/digital radio) that dropped to 75%off, priced $24.98; last one besides the display model.

Plugged in my iPhone and got a message that it wasn't compatible unless you switch to airplane mode. Worked fine once I did that..

if you live next to a fry's you can get rb2 drums for 50 bucks and guitars for 20.

No biggie barely have time for that anymore anyway since I'd have to put them safely away now w/my almost walking 9m old.

You can get the Guitar Hero 5 bundle for $22.50 at Target. It's got what most feel is the best plastic guitar yet, plus you get a great full band game.

People may not realize that the guitar is fully compatible with the Rock Band games, I immediately played RB3 with it, haven't even tried the GH game yet. The only thing is that it lacks the solo buttons and the effects switch, I miss effects but I never used solo buttons.

It's been slow lately for everyone. Most of us report drops every week - but it's been 3-4 since the last round of drops.

And yes, please everyone, stay calm. :) 2-3 times a year, someone overreacts and says something like, "It's the end of Target clearance!!! I used to find such good deals, but those days are gone." And then, BAM! Someone reports an awesome clearance find. :) :cool:
 
Saw the PSP Go system on clearance at Target for $174.xx behind the case. They had quite a few units available, and knowing Target and how their clearances are, this will drop down at least another $25 in the next week or so. Might be a good idea to keep your eyes out, could drop lower and be a good holiday gift. I'm sticking with my PSP 1000.


This was at the Boot Ranch Target in Palm Harbor, FL. YMMV.
 
Considering how my Target still has a batch of the old Lime Green DS Lite Cooking bundle sitting around at 150, it'll be a pretty long wait... Otherwise I'd pick one up at around $100. Love the form factor.

If its at $174, that means Target never dropped the units price to $200, so at 75% off it will be $62.xx

I would pick it up at that price though.

Edit: Do you know if it was the white or black one? I see that no target in the area has white ones, but they all have black ones.
 
OP updated with the PSP Go System...it's funny though I could have sworn I saw some PSP Go Systems with the clearance stickers priced at $174.98 a couple of weeks ago, but I went in a couple of days later and the there were none left.... or the clearance stickers had been removed....
 
psp go for 174.98 equates to %25 off... hmm I always thought they went by %30 first (or %15 for high end stuff like psp go)... never seen something for %25 off in clearance...
 
Better off waiting until Black Friday at Sears where they'll be off-loading their PSP-3000 systems at $129.99 w/ Little Big Planet & 1GB Memory Stick. I've never understood the PSP-GO. It's like saying, "I'll take the porsche at almost full price, but give me the most dumbed down and useless model you have in stock".

And to prove my point.

Target is starting from the old MSRP of $249.99, so this is 30% off.
 
gwaaa, this doesn't look good for the Go :cry:

Oh well, I really need to get one in case my current ever dies, sure I'll get a PSP2, but nothing beats the Go for a media playing device for all my favorite tv shows and movies

Things have been fairly good the last month or so, really, not tons of drops but at least stuff is starting into the clearance process. 2-3 weeks ago had a really big round of drops.

Keep in mind we're coming into a horrible time of year for clearance-- all the frantic holiday shoppers see "CLEARANCE!!!" and buy anything, even at 15% off. So stuff disappears really fast if it's interesting.

The Sony at Walgreens BF sale is also the same model as Target has for BF for $99 as well. BD370 I think. If you want it with WI FI, you have to buy a separate USB WiFi adapter that costs about $79. But it does take an ethernet cable in the back for non-WiFi connectivity to NetFlix. Read that it only accesses your instant queue (?) on NetFlix and does not give you recommendations etc. Also there are some firmware fixes you have to perform to get the player to optimal operation.

Still wondering about this one for my basement set up where I have the ethernet cables running from the wireless router for access. Sounds like it could be a decent basic bluray player.

Haha, my brother works at the Target I usually shop at and told me their drops usually occur every 2 or so weeks. But yea since it is getting closer to the holiday shopping season, of course drops won't be appearing as often. Here's hoping to good BF/Cyber Monday sales! :lol:

Nothing beats it for the gamer on the road either. It's so nice taking only one carrying case on an airplane for 4-hour flights and never have to worry about swapping discs. After having both a PSP-3000 and Go, I would take the latter every day of the week when I travel.

For anyone in the area with a :360: who wants a Bioshock 2 CE, the Wilkes-Barre(PA) store has ONE on the clearance endcap. It's marked(and rings up) $48.98 though.:cry:

That's still a little bit over 50% off, but not as good of a discount as the :ps3: version people have been finding.
 
Thought I might as well join after getting some intel from this great resource. Provide some help of my own.

Went to the Short Pump (VA) Target today.

1 :360: Rainbow Six Vegas 2 left. I'd assume at 13.98, though I wasn't interested enough to check.
2 :360: Prince of Persia at 13.98. Had a copy in my hand, but I put it back. Is the game any good? I loved Sands of Time, but its sequel not so much.
A handful of :360: Brutal Legend at 13.98.

For :ps3: they had Borderlands, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Prototype that caught my eye at 20.98. If only I had a PS3...

Also about a row and a half of :ds: shovelware.

I can do the same thing with a UMD PSP and a memory stick.
