Target clearance is YMMV, ya dig! Games may not even be on clearance at your store, or they may be higher or lower than what is on this list.

This thread is for clearance-- not for sale items. Price reductions for clearance seem to happen on Monday, although not every Monday, but could also occur any day of the week depending on your store's price change team. Price adjustments on clearance are typically not allowed, but some have succeeded or have been able to do as return and rebuy.

Target often donates its older clearance titles to Goodwill stores, so keep that in mind when you're trying to find items. BigDirty: "Further reduction is possible when a game's price ends with 8 cents. However, when it ends in 4 cents it will NOT drop anymore. If it ends in 9 cents, it's just on sale or on a non-clearance reduction." Also, note that, typically, games will drop three times-- from 30%, 50%, then to the final drop of 75% off of the original price. Some people, however, have seen further drops up to 85%.

When games are marked down, the price change team typically find the game and scan it with their PDA/LRT to intiate the price change. However, in the case that they cannot find the game, they will either choose to not drop the price further or process the price change anyway, figuring that the game is somewhere in the store.

When posting deals, please include game, system, price, city, state and DCPI #

Also, a great help when you're posting deals you've found is to check this post and see if your item's DPCI number is already listed. DPCI stands for Department, Class, Item-- it's Target's version of a SKU. These are a nine digit number that can always be found on your receipt and also on the red clearance tags on the item itself. DPCI numbers are handy to have when you want to check the item's price-- just go over to your scanner and punch in the numbers, if your scanners have keypads. Also, you can give these numbers to team members so they can check the availability of the item easily with their PDA scanners. Please post any DPCI numbers that are not already in the OP-- thanks! This is especially important since some of the DPCI numbers on Target.com start with 241, meaning they cannot be used in-store, and also meaning that I can't get all of the numbers from Target.com.

Here is a fairly easy way to check your local Target's pricing-- often price tags will not be correct. Thanks to BigDirty for this:
1) Go to Half.com or a similar site. Search for the game to locate its UPC code number. It's in the gray box underneath the box art graphic.
2) Go to UPC Database ,Milk.com , or UPC Data and enter the code so you can print out the UPC. Go to Target and use the price scanners to scan your printouts.

Thanks to Mephitical for this tool for locating clearance titles, which is located here. Go to Amazon or Target to find the item's ASIN. When you find it, replace "B000O3IS48" in the URL with your item's ASIN. This will take you to a page asking you for your zip code. Type in your zip code and click enter-- this will display a list of local stores and whether or not they have your item in stock. YMMV on it working properly.

The lowest known price will be posted. The item could be higher or lower at your store. Numbers in purple are DPCI numbers, which can be used to check the prices of items on newer scanners.

There have been some confirmed reports of La Whoreda, the female counterpart to El Hoardo. She is obviously more rare in the Target environment since she usually focuses her energy to her Avon business, but caution should still be exercised.

Resident Evil 5 Gold - $9.98 (finally..something fun and cheap to play with my Move)

6 games for under $55. I'm good with that.

I do not know what to play first. RE5 probably wins that though in between COD: Black Ops sessions.

I saw other PS3 games as well but they were $15 or more. Too rich for my blood.
1 lone copy of Singularity at $15.....would've bit at $7.48.
360 section was gutted. Someone took off with whatever was there.

Is it wishful thinking the halo reach console will get clearanced out? Or should I just use my 10% off coupon and 5% off with my target card? All the stores by me still have these and are starting to get The holiday bundle.

Hard to say. My guess is it won't happen so soon. If you really want the Halo console, buy it now. As long as you don't open the box, you should be able to return it when you find a better deal elsewhere during the holidays.
 
Damn, I went to several Targets today and didn't find any of the NGS copies I saw a week ago; they probably got picked up on Monday.

Picked up Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition (PS3) and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves today, for $19.98 a piece. Glad to find RE5 for that price, even if the slipcase is beat to hell (it was the last copy at the store I went to)

Picked up some really old PC games for 2.48 but damn they are fun to play.

I know Pirates is a remake of an old PC game and was recently released on Wii but damn for less than the price of a whopper its awesome. Been sinking/plundering British and French vessels like crazy for 2 days now.

Sacred too. Cant stop playing Sacred. Its my late night everyone's asleep but I am still up at 6:30 am game right now LOL.

Console, well, I saw a lot but nothing less than 9.98 thats worth even mentioning.

So, my Targets are slow to drop because a lot of the latest 7.48 games are still 20.98 here so whatever...I wait.

I've been thinking of grabbing this because I loved the old PC game, but I got the XBox remake ("Pirates! Live the Life") a while back and thought it was absolutely terrible. So I'm not sure if this is worth it or not.
 
Hit a Target I don't run into as much, and found they had some random drops on the new clearance! Also found some single titles at my usual haunt I haven't seen yet, like the Rock Band Classic Track Pack for $10. Well worth it, and with one copy I don't think it will sit long. >,>

Well, as far as I know, this is that same game (the XBOX one).

Although I never played any versions of this so I can't say what is better.

I can only say that for the price of a milkshake that I would've drank and forgotten about 2 seconds later, I have had a great time.

I understand what you're saying, and I've used your logic plenty of times when buying Target clearance stuff, but now I have an attic filled with "milkshakes" and no time to play to play them. :D At least they're not fattening.
 
I am really tempted to go check my local target rite now.. Borderlands for under $8 is a great price.. The only thing stopping me is my target NEVER has any good clearance games, usually just a ps2 or ds game here or there and that is it.. I have seen games in the past that could have been on clearance but none of them had the sticker on them and they always ring up for regular price.. Hrm.. To go out in the cold, traffic for most likely nothing... Or to stay home in my heated house.. Has target really been getting their act together with putting their games on clearance over the last month? Because like I said mine hardly ever puts anything on clearance.
 
Picked up Dragon Age and Batman:AA on 360 for $7.49 each and Sin & Punishment on Wii for $12.49 Can't believe games are making it to $7.49 this time of year, must have just been marked down today.
 
I picked up oblivion game of the year for $15 today. I've been meaning to pick this up to play through the DLC, sadly I can't wait to long for price drops because my targets sell to the goodwill in the area before it really hits any good discounts.
 
Saw 25 copies of Punch-Out!! for $24.98 and a Bioshock 2 collector's for PS3 at BB for $27.50 and it was pretty beat up. Might check my RZ points and go back sometime and get it.

Picked up Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for PS3 tonight. My local Target might be slow on the upkeep for labeling prices, two days ago it was still labeled for 37. (30%)

WHAT?!? They hit 7.49 at your target already? They JUST put them out last week at mine and are still at $20-$22. For your price I'd pick up DA:O (bought it again recently to get more achievements so I don't need it myself) just to flip it on Amazon for $13.25 and definitely pick up Batman AA. Had it briefly but returned it for something else...good game it's just something else came up that was more important.

Might be worth heading back there quick and scanning some of them. Even PGR 4 is a pretty sweet game, 9.98 at mine but I'll pick it up if it drops for sure.

edit: Can't wait until I get my android phone (was supposed to be here on the 18th! Damn thing better not have gotten lost in transit!) so I can check the trade-in values while I'm at the store and not have to try and remember all the games to check when I get back home. Is there some kind of app to help out with that or best bet is just to head to their website directly?
 
I started playing my 5 dollar brutal legend. I have to admit, it is much better and much more fun than I assumed it would be. Well worth $5!

I thought it was amazing. I can admit that some of the RTS-ing isn't handled all that well but honestly it's easy enough you can sort of your cheese your way through those sections. Plus, for me, the rest of the game was amazing enough it didn't matter.

Bought it brand new at release w/credit and I still felt it was worth it. Then I rebought it about 7 months ago for $5 on clearance at Target to go for more achievements.

Wow, your target clearanced it 7 months ago? Most of us had our targets clearance it down to 5 last Monday! Now I just hope my 7.50 borderlands turns out to be really good!

It was back then...but then oddly enough they got more in stock and clearanced them AGAIN (starting back over at $15 I believe) with everybody else.

They also clearanced out PoP (the cell-shaded one) about the same amount of time before most other Targets....and again then got more in stock.
 
Damn, anyone able to pick up a RE5 Gold PS3 for me and ship it, Paypal the money? Our Target's over here in Tampa, FL are seriously slow with the clearances!

Im thinking that this is not common. Batman AA seems to be 14.98 (at least) at most Targets. If its were 7.98 I woulda bit for sure.
 
I went to the Target nearest my house and found several good games. I use to be happy to find these games in the endcap except now it just disappoints me because they usually don't survive another drop.

Yeah i was able to find the lone one[Oblivion GOTY] for 14.98 but im seriously thinking about returning it if i can find a couple 4.98's. I really dont think i have the heart to start it over again since my old 360 rrod and corrupted my save file. I think i was like 60 hrs in...ahh the memories when Microsoft was sticking it to us all!

Either just start making it store-wide or why clearance them at all? I know they hope this way more people will bite at higher prices, but at this point I think most people who care enough to buy this stuff have already caught on to the cycle. If anything at this point they're just making it more difficult on themselves.

I started over a couple times. Recently when I went back (decided to 100% the achievements) I had to start over yet again and unfortunately some of the quests I had to finish up were guild quests. For the guild quests and shivering isles alone it took me over 50 hours. That's basically no side quests or screwing around...

Besides World of Warcraft there has never been a game I have played so much and not even close on consoles. Shoot if they released new DLC today I'd buy it!
